"’Nummo’ is a song about the amphibious fish-like entities in the Dogon religion. We already touched the Dogon religion with the Sirius B title track in 2004, but as it wasn't much lyrics in that song, it felt the time was right for a revisist and a proper lyric.
In the video clip we try to give an introduction to Dogon ceremonies. We couldn’t afford to pay Nummo in person to appear in the video clip, so we had to make an animation for that.”

У меня подозрение, что Йонссон троллит аудиторию, выкатывая сомнительный местами музыкальный материал. Сколько себя помню, под каждым новым релизом, еще на форумах профильных в конце 90-х разгорался срач, что Therion уже не тот. Каждый, сцуко, альбом! Эта песня с первого раза тоже показалассь отвратительной и вторичной, но в поисках что и у кого заимствовал автор песни можно собрать материала на докторскую степень. А сейчас, уже после десятого репита, вынужден поставить заслуженный лайк маэстро.
Не могу не согласится, несмотря на то что это была по моему мнению неудачная песня из всех 3х левиафанов теперь она мне какого-то хрена начинает нравиться. Ещё 5 прослушиваний и я привыкну к переходу "Mystery in our dreams" ( от которого при первом прослушивании бежал блевать и переслушивать другие песни из альбома в качестве терапии)

Therion used to be so good in the late 90's early 2000's with secrets of the runes, lemuria and Sirius B but new music sounds like the singers and the rest of the band are not in the same room or communicating. The timing and rhythm is off. It's noise. It's like they said you do what ever you want and I'll do what ever I want and someone did their best to mix it.

Sorry, but the timing is a lot better here than especially the records in the 90's. You'd have to be DEAF to say this is not tight and then listen to Vovin and especially Theli and say that is good. The records before Theli were even worse (though I personally like them better anyway). Therion didn't become tight until Deggial. It's not an opinion, it's a measurable scientific fact.
@@abroix No me creo que haya tanto aplaudidor de esto, parece que ni escucharon el material. Qué horrible disco, las mismas marchitas en guitarra eléctrica que llevan usando en los últimos álbumes tan desangelados como el Beloved Antichrist. Todo muy centrado en los coros flojos con tecladitos y marchitas de guitarra súper planas. Realmente parece que esrán rellenando el silencio nada más. Therion es mi banda favorita pero este álbum me dio asco. Yo siempre me reí de los que decían que Therion había muerto con el Gothic Kabbalah y de hecho me siguen pareciendo ridículos pero la verdad es que este álbum y todo lo que sacaron tras LFDM es un Therion mutilado y desgastado. Se nota mucho la falta de los Niemann y de Karlsson. Qué horrible está esta cochinada hueca y sin alma de Leviathan III; se nota que son las sobras de los otros dos que aunque me gustaron ya son producto de esta "bestia" adolorida y lisiada. Sé que tú puedes entender esta frustración porque eres alguien que sabe apreciar esta banda como pocos siendo básicamente una leyenda de la comunidad de Therion en español, por eso te echo mi lloradera a ti así que disculpa, jeje. Un saludo.

I still have hope Therion will come up with something memorable in the future and this trilogy is just a "transition".

Como muchos fans se ofenden cuando un diverge de su gusto, me asusté de herir sentimientos, jaja.
Haz dado con la palabra que rondaba mi mente "desangelado", en mi caso hasta LFDM llegó a tocar mi alma y con Leviatan II algo me revivió, pero aunque le daré unas escuchas más no veo que me impacte.
De todas maneras soy fan de música y no de banda, así que si no me agrada del todo lo que escucho pongo mi atención en otra obra. Therion coincidió o reflejó por mucho tiempo mi gusto musical, si ahora no es la ocasión, me quedó con sus otras obras y estas las dejo para quienes la disfruten

😂El video más pobre en producción de therion. Trilogía Leviathan muy mal en cuanto a videos. Las canciones son buenas pero ya sin un coro de orquesta y producción de las mismas para componer. Menos calidad pero aun así Buenas y sencillas canciones. Therion ya uno más del montón bajando de categoría. 😅

Gente, cadê a nostalgia do Therion que era evidente em álbuns antigos? Estou chocada com a baixa qualidade musical da banda... Parece-me que cada integrante pegou um detalhe das músicas deste álbum e fez o que bem entendesse.
O Leviathan II eu não tinha gostado muito, mas agora o III está ainda pior! Será que isso se deve à gravadora? O que aconteceu com o Christopher que não está mais nostálgico como antigamente nas composições?

As far as the official info from the band goes the shaman in the video is athentic and the video is shot on his sacred ground where he performs his ceremonies. And as far as I can see the shaman is an indian ethnically as well. So there's no black faceing. Now, if the guy taking the drug happens to be one of the majority population etnicity of latin origin, what exactly is the problem with that? Or if he happens to see a latin woman in his vision? I wouldn't be surprise if there were quite a lot of latinos in countries where they brew this drug who seelk shamans for guidance and and experience. What is wrong with that?
Excuse a simple man who is not an ethnologist. When I google pictures of Dogon people, those costumes and masks looks pretty similar in style to me. And I also assume the Dogons make them by hand, they don't have a big factory that makes them, looking all the same, so my humble amateur guess would be this would also somewhat make them have quite a big individual variation. So in your expert view, what determine them as so bad/different from the Dogon masks that it's worthy of reprehension?

A recipe for chaos. Take all the religions and all the tones and voices and men and women and choirs and maybe someone will say it's good, but it's not. I understand that you can't make the same music over and over again, ok, I'm a big fan from Theli to Gothic Kabbalah,great experience see Therion live...but I'm just watching now, all this Antichrists and Leaviathans... but Your time will come, for sure! :)

As long as To Manga Therion is an anime adaption of Beloved Antichrist, I'm all for it. The story, the characters, even the music of BA would do great in an anime. The "old Europe" aesthetic, the immortal magician throwing lightning bolts... the main character is an isolated and troubled super-genius... damn, I can see it so clearly. It's like it's _made_ for anime.

They managed to milk it very good for 25 years, so chances are they they will be able to do it for another few decades. The band did lyrics about various mythologies and cultures from all over the planet since 1993 when they started make songs about for example devil worshipping kurds and other things from the Middle East. They only did two albums that was based on nordic culture.
