      Thank you ! And thank you for all the continued support through all my years doing this and keeping us sun protected and looking fresh !!
      Been so stoked on those low light yellow lens sunglasses too in kona. I feel like I can see fish way better with them, really good contrast.

    Can you explain your outrigger set up with the line instead of direct to the clip?

    • @waterman241
      @waterman241  Год назад +1

      Sure can. It’s a Dacron hanger to a tag line system. I’ll do a video on tag lines when I get through this tournament run. Basically the tag lines allow Les drop back and allow us to easily adjust the lure. The Dacron hangers sit on the main line with a loop that connects to the clip so we know exactly where the lure is no need for rubber bands or putting marker on the line.
      I’ll explain more when I get time. Thanks for watching

    Great videos, always enjoy them and do plenty of business with GZ. Looks like you use Daiwa Marine Power 3000 for your dredges? How have those been for you? 12 or 24? Thanks!

      Thanks Adam. I use the 3000 12v and it’s good on the dredge but the LP is better however in terms of cost the Daiwa is way cheaper.
      I’ve had no issues with it pulling up to a 2 tier at most.

    Have you got any theories as to why some fish don’t release well?

    • @waterman241
      @waterman241  Год назад

      I don’t know. Most you can revive and are in great shape but Honestly I’ve seen this happen a few times where they just go belly up and won’t go down. It’s like something happened to their swim bladder or something. I’ve even tried a few years ago swimming one down to deep water hoping they would get right but all that happened was I lost a GoPro and then watched them float back up a little while later.

    I still want to pitch a spear out there. Nothing better than the old bait and switch.

    Your going to be a legend. You did the right thing bro you the man. it sucks to see A blue one die like that especially catching him in 25 minutes. But rather feed the village, then feed a shark.

    Do you have a Amani sonar on your charter boat ?

    • @waterman241
      @waterman241  Год назад

      Unfortunately we don’t have a sonar I can’t afford one as an owner operator. Sadly that sonar is kinda the death of the owner operators it’s changed the way people fish here in kona and I feel like we have to work so much harder without one to stay relevant.
