- After installing my gytr turbo and a stage 2 tune from Alba I was battling a slipping clutch. I installed a boost lock from JTE Performance. Right after I installed it, we tested it by racing a friend in a rzr. On a high rpm launch, much to my surprise, I accidentally pulled a wheelie!! Obviously I had to get it on film. So I did it a few times. lol. Anyone wondering what clutch will hold, the answer is none of them, you need boost lock!!

Kind of. It’s an ss model so it has paddle shifters. That is using launch control which is basically the same thing as a neutral drop.

It’s stupid. Wrong tires for the pavement. Killing the clutch. My sons old kfx700 can do a wheelie but it kills the bike on pavement I have a 1000r with turbo and wouldn’t do that.

Yes turbo and have a boost lock clutch. It’s the only way it’ll do this. This is right after I installed boost lock and was testing it. Pretty amazing!

They have a 998cc three cylinder inline engine.
Is that the same engine as the SRX TURBO sled? Love my yamahas always been known for being power houses of the toy world

Well it sounds like it. I know the the yamaha srx uses a 3 cylinder turbo and I'm pretty sure it's a 998 and it also is a rocket. That thing looks like alot of fun! Enjoy!
@@ianbrasseur4712 yeah, the srx does have a 998 3 cylinder turbo. But I don’t know if the yxz1000 has the same engine. The engine in the srx is turbocharged and has over 200 horsepower, but the engine in the yxz has 112 horsepower and isn’t turbocharged unless you put an aftermarket turbocharger on it. So I don’t know if it’s the same engine but it could very well be.

@@JeffBennett1 no doubt even a razor 800 has a level of performance few have witnessed. When it comes to adrenaline junkies, a side-by-side is the pinnacle of performance, practicality, safety and overall fun. There is a couple off brands that come in around 15k but we all know the razor, maverick, talon, kfx and the yfz are the best platforms to choose from. 20k-30k for premium base model not including optional equipment. Although I can't afford one of these in totally understand the cost. My single seater krosscart comes in under 650lbs with me in it and the cvt drive does a great job of putting the 134bhp 670cc twin power to the wheels. I am currently trying to save for a sxs. Got three girls ages 4, 9 and 13 and its hands down the safest way for them to experience off-roading.
