- In this video we take a look at the new house of the dragon trailer likely to be the final one before the show airs next month. We get lots of new footage with this trailer having a much more somber feel than the prior one. We get a lot of interaction with Rhaenyra and Daemon and there own personal conflict, we then start to see how the green faction start to splinter with Aegon really coming into his own as king and pushing Alicent and Otto to the side. We get a lot of footage from the battle of rooks rest with Rhaenys and Aemond as well as Criston Coles ground assault and what looks like Baela Targaryen as part of the battle is some form. There is a lot of alluding to blood and cheese with a lot of it seeming to take place after the event. Let me know what you thought of the trailer and any details i missed as there will be a follow up video.
House Of The Dragon Season 2 Final Trailer Analysis & Speculation
The Dance Of The Dragons will be the focus of the plot of the new HBO spin-off House Of The Dragon coming in 2022. So if you want to learn the story before we see HBO's take on it then this will be a very long-running series. Game Of Thrones / House of the dragon are HBO shows based on George R R Martin's A Song Of Ice And Fire series. The information in this video comes from the books a world of ice and fire as well as fire and blood.

Let the show breathe, don’t rush it, bringing her in S3 is perfect for the pacing especially if they’re going to go for 5 seasons now.
Rhaenyra and Daemon having dinner is not even the same scene, Rhaenyra has dinner with the dragonseed + Baela and Jace. Daemons scene is at Harrenhal when he just captured it. Typical trailer misdirection.
I feel the same way some of these scene are misleading.

That actually makes a lot of sense, like i said the trailer is full of misdirection so that could very well be part of it.
There is no way they're getting rid of nettles.
They probably cut her for S2 and will introduce her in s3 along with Daeron

Very hyped for Cregan, Kingmaker, and Aemond/Daemon the most so far.
What i am excited to see is obviously the most anticipated battle - rooks rest, development of Aegon and Aemond's character character, Daemon in Harrenhall, Jace in Winterfell, how far they'll go with the extent of heinousness with blood and cheese which in turn will lit the fire in Aegon, Aegon and Sunfyre's bond and above anything the new dragons.

Why is Needles getting cut? Love that Rhaena might get the opportunity to participate in the Dance, but she is so far off from Needles character it doesn't make any sense. Needles is the type of girl who would have claimed Vhagar if she had the opportunity, not just wait around until she came of age. Rhaena isn't even a fighter.
That seems like a lot of peoples biggest issue with it right now, that Nettles and Rhaena are just so far removed for one another as characters.
@@WorldOfWesteros Yeah. Needles to me reflects what Sheepstealer is. Something grungy, out of place, and a misfit. Rhaena just seems too prim and proper to ride Sheepstealer. I turned a blind eye to when they didn't kill off Laenor for creative reasons, but I can't ignore this.
The eggs are Daenerys dragons! They match the colors of danys and I believe that rhaenrya or Helena is dreaming her eggs
The books strongly sugest that daenerys dragons hached from eggs laid by dreamfyre and stolen from dragonstone by elisa farman during king jaehaerys targaryen times (old king you can see in ep 1 of house of the dragon)

Big fan of Aegon’s armour but Sunfrye 🤔🤷🏻 I wonder if they’re ever going to pull out the black and gold armour for Aemond??
Overall I wonder what approach they would take for sheep stealer post dance of the dragons since nettles took off and Rhaena remains an active participant in court all throughout her and her sisters lives 🤔
None the less I like the edition to the kingsguard Helmet, Aemond rocking Visery’s dagger; the quality just everything looks so good 😢

Another youtuber (Quinn the GM) picked up a very interesting detail, showing someone's dress and that someone (or somebody else) grabbing a knife, which looks suspiciously similar to the knife being held against Helaena's neck in the teaser trailer. The shot may be from the Blood and Cheese incident.

I thought I saw a fleeting glimpse of Aryk and Eryk fighting near the end of the trailer. I hope they build up their characters more this season, that way their deaths will have more resonance.
I hope they do because it's such a cool duel in the books, the fact it became a song by the time of the main books says a lot. I do fear how much time they really have to given them more character development

like it can work if they go with Nettles was his bastard angle, but there is a lot of Nettles character and arc that just don't work with Rhaena. I hope they must have found some way to adjust it or they wouldn't try it
Westerling seemed to say he didn’t want to part of the coup. He wanted a king and is backing the greens but he’s not happy it’s happened.
I don't think that the strife between Daemon and Rhaenyra is going to be accelerated into this ssn. Ssn 1 closed with Daemon being very Ride Or Die for Rhaenyra, and HOTD has actually used characterization to move plot rather than vise verse (like last 2.5 ssns of GOT). trailer looks Rad, and i think it is going to be a better story adaptation/execution than GOT turned out to be when all is said and done.

Well I liked this one but we didn’t get any big new info we didn’t get in the Blacks and Greens teasers
it very much felt like an extension of the Black/Green trailer. However i really did like all the new Rooks Rest footage and Aegon on Dragonback.

I'm pretty confident that it's not Harrold Westerling. I think it's Rickard Thorne. Thorne is played by Vincent Regan, who looks very similar to Graeme McTavish, who plays Westerling. They both have practically the same beard, same skin tone, similar facial features. Possibly not the best idea to cast two actors who look so similar, but what can you do?
They can always introduce Needles👩🏾🦱 in Season 3 you guys 🫡😭🤷🏾♂️. It will be overall better for the pace of the show. The Battle of Gullet is Season 3 for comparison, in relation to Needles’ relevance, she’s a key player in that particular battle. So she still has a chance to make her debut to saddle Daemon. This show is blindly about Daemon low-key, G.R.M hinted at it.
I need to see Rhaenyra Wearing Chainmail armer like in the book Illustration.
I have a feeling they might do that when they cover the fall of king's landing, to me at least it's the perfect time to do it given the circumstance.

Now I’m curious as to how they are going to play this with no nettle’s. Are they going to have Rhaena completely replace nettle’s including the possible nettles romance with Damon, although that would mean it be father and daughter incest and I am not sure if that is something Targaryens do or not. Maybe they have the black queen think this is happening with the white worm telling her it is happening but in reality it just Damon spending time with his daughter in a fatherly way with no romance? Regardless they are going to have to do something to spark Damon’s parasol rebellion against Rheanyra in some way which lead to the gods eye battle. So the question is are the entirely copy and paste Rhaena over nettles including the Damon(her father) romance or not?
No romance is confirmed between Neetles and Deamon, I am fairly convinced it's a complete platonic relationship
They should’ve kept Nettles. Making Nettles a bastard daughter of Daemon would’ve been cool if they wanted to go in the paternal direction. Rhaena is more traditionally feminine than Baela. I’m afraid if they’re both these fierce wild dragon riders it will be more of a hewey Dewey and lewey effect where the twins lose what makes them individual.
I hope they don't cut nettles from the story but I'd be so happy if Rhaena really manages to claim sheepstealer!
The more I hear about this season the more skeptical I become and the more I question how different the mindset between show runner really is. Cutting characters and prioritizing big action sequences…
Right now i'm giving them the benefit of doubt, when Condal has done interviews with smaller publications and podcasts he's come across really well and seems to care a lot about the source martial. I find with these big EW kinda articles they really seem to pick out the most clickable quotes which is why i don't even pay much attention to them. I mean, Condal and Hess directly contradict each other during some points. Most of what i heard is good, it's really been things like this Nettles/Rhaena leak that has got me and a lot of people questioning the direction. I'm hopefull all will work out fine, most things point that way, but would not be suprised if we get a few 'dragonpit' style moments in season 2
Listen - I always thought it was weird that Rhaena spent so much time trying to hatch dragon eggs when there are already several full grown unclaimed dragons. She should have Silver Wing instead of Sheep Stealer.

I honestly assumed it was Rhaenyra or Helaena but i do recall the leak of the actor's agency saying she was coming back on there website. From what i understand it might be Alys Rivers related.

I have a feeling they may go the way of having all of the dragon's killed in the dance some how to try and make a thematic point. Not sure how that would work with the likes of Sliverwing though.
Blood and Cheese goes way too far from where everything is set up by the end of season 1; just like Luke's death, nuance is added to justify the event. Daemon isn't that evil; my guess is they play it as a kidnapping gone wrong or an intentional extreme reaction with the aim of provoking a march outside of King's Landing to eventually take the city by Daemon. What do you think they will go with?
Episode One is Called A Son for a Son so i don't think they will play it ou as an accident... Although i am also thinking that there was not enough time for it to be as impactfull as it should be... The kids had basicaly no Screentime

I'm on the fence, it can work of handled well. Seems a good way to keep that aspect of the story and give Rhaena more screen time. Just there is a lot of elements to nettles that does not work for Rhaena, so will have to see how they handle that.
So just like S1 they will clean Rheanyra's $h!t from the books and blame it on Daemon , & picture Deamon as this rushing evil disobedient guy who causes problems for team good guys , If I was a Daemon fan I wouldn't want to be with the blacks

I actually would like Rhaena taking Nettles place. I'm not a big fan of further damaging Daemon's character, by later having him commit adultery with Nettles. So I personally prefer this part of the story changed. The book is considered the product of gossips/hearsays = completely inaccurate anyway....

F&B is more reliable than HotD and it's not even close
The issue is the show has completely sidelined the autonomy of the other houses in the war. In F&B, even minor vassal houses went against their liege lords implying they had their own reasons beyond the Rhaenyra vs Aegon debate. The show could've been a multi POV Westeros and Essos spanning story like GOT but they decided to cut it all for a much more surface level story.

The story doesn't need as many prospectives as GOT to be just as good.

I’m hoping this is far better than than the terrible first season that wasn’t watchable.. absolutely no character development to the point everyone could die and I would not care.. the story sucks and drags on so damn much.. the scenery is terrible and nowhere near the outstanding quality of GOT.. nothing makes sense.. NOTHING.. The king is dying and there is no maester there to help him.. really.. Why is kings landing so old when it’s newer than in GOT.. and should look newer.. so many questions but the main one is why are the characters so damn bad..
