Infernape def has an untapped potential with the moveset, it has both swords dance and nasty plot and priority in mach punch and vacuum wave besides the other common sets as choiceband and lifeorb. I myself use scarf the most since it out speeds all of the metagame even the scarfers and speedties with 80 speed pokemon at +2 speed, assuming neutral nature

Pokeaimd has a good format when talking or explaining about pokemon, he makes a team in showdown and he puts say 4 infernapes side by side with different sets both evs and attacks. If you are able go ahead and look at the videos were he theory crafts about pokemon
