I am a gray chair also and very proud of it. I have my own recovery ministry now. Its all about saving the lost like we were.
Al-anon has done the same for me . I have addictions too, just not alcohol or drugs.

I got 16 months of sober time.. God has blessed me tremendously through AA meetings in a meeting celebrate recovery and I can honestly say I feel closer to God's people in meetings than I do on Sunday morning at church...💙🙏🤠
I'm a part of C/R and I absolutely love this song.
We find, in those rooms, that we have a disease which cannot be cured. HOWEVER, one day at a time, WITH A HIGHER POWER, OF OUR UNDERSTANDING, we work the most spiritual program to stay sober and help others do the same.
It encompasses us in all areas of our life and we learn to forgive ourselves as well as others. Serenity comes, slowly BUT SURELY.
Thank you for your words. However, meaning no disrespect, you can be healed from this demon. I was. Completely healed. I no longer call myself an alcoholic because Jesus healed me! I'm set free. I pray you find that healing as well.

Ohhhh lucky!!!! They should totally do a tour around the country. My dream concert: Building 429, Lauren Daigle, and Unspoken. Unspoken is the literal most underrated band EVER.
I like the sentiment, but I would like to point out that church is a body of believers in god not a Sunday morning meeting, or the building where you meet, so even though there will always be people in the church who are incompetent (or not real christians) in the church, but when a real body of believers meet as a church, Tuesday night and Sunday morning are the same church meeting in a group.

We have loved your music for years, but ever new this side of you. Celebrate Recovery helped save me, and March 26th was 6 years sober. Now, I work at a Residential Rehabilitation treatment Program for veterans, and am able to offer them this same hope Celebrate Recovery did for me. Thanks and keep it up. Love you guys.

This song brings tears man. Truly. I know this hits home for those who were former addicts now walking free, but this speaks on how church should be, the gathering in one accord, where truth heals as the wounds are revealed, not just exposed and then torn down. It should be as intended, where the Lord guided in love and truth by those who love Jesus and eachother. This is a beautifully anointed song fellas. God bless yall!! I don't know about "more church than church" though
Yes, church should be a place for sinners who come humbly, but it's primarily not about us at all. A Sunday morning service, for example, is about all of us coming for the purpose of worshipping God, hearing his Word so we can rightly apply it in our lives, as well as build each other up in the process. If you're talking about church as the body of believers/ the Christian community - the same is true. We all come with our baggage, yes - but that's not the focus. Should there be times of discipleship for those struggling with addiction? Absolutely, but that is just one important aspect of a thriving church, not the identifying marker.
Little c church, yes. What you said. That's the building. Big C Church is the community of believers that is supposed to be there for each other and support each other and grow with each other in Christ. The big C Church is failing in America.

Came , came to came to believe either God is or he isn't met Jesus in AA and I do both AA & Church. Personally I did just AA and just church I need noth for FULL recovery. Revelation 2:4-5

The greatest trick the devil can pull is letting you think you are saved when you are not. Jesus will send the Spirit of Truth and reveal to you but you must choose Him over all else. If you accept Jesus, you become His Bride, If you are His Bride you will wait for Him and remain faithful. If still desire and want the things of the world over Him you are cheating on Him. Love Jesus First. Peace.
