Despite 100 arguments, if he thought he was right, he would do it and vice versa. He instilled the confidence in his co-workers that he was ready to hear your honest opinion. With Pakistan, even after Kargil, he went for Agra. His belief was, when you can’t change your neighbours, you have to get along with them. We are bigger, stronger, so we should reach out to them, he believed. So he continued to try different things.
