Unbelievable that this is available on youtube. This is so useful and value added. I recently bought your sample packs really good quality. This is all I need! Thanks
Well that was a pleasant random RUclips recommendation. Sometimes I regret learning music theory because it's hard to learn how to be spontaneous and naive again. Lots of good ideas in here.
Damn, you explained my frustration 5 years ago. I was making tracks, but most of them sounded like trance from 2004. And now I realize, that this because of my music theory experience. I used to keep myself in harmony. But actually sometimes you just need some random things. =)
Thank you soo much. This is the kind of tutorial i needed! Keep up the videos about deep/hypnotic techno. You are the onlyone who shows the secrets of this kind of techno, which i love the most
In case you don't know of them I can recommend Yan cook's channel and also the channel SINEE (it's in german but still pretty easy to follow), both of these share some secrets/techniques. But yes AYNIL is the main one and the only one I know with a lot of content. EDIT: Saw now you wrote more like deep techno, check out Hypnus Records channel. Ntogn has some walkthroughs there. But other than that I don't know anyone else really.
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks for your channel! I just discovered it, already the best techno tutorial channel, even in not my usual language. I have for hours and hours to watch and rewatch your videos but i will really progress. Thanks for your help for all techno production passionated.
Hey man thank you so much for all the excellent content. I've been binging your videos and have learned a ton. Also loving all the free sound racks you provide with the videos. Just purchased a sample pack to show my appreciation, keep up the great work!
This video could not have came at a better time for me, thank you so much for these videos, should I ever become a recognised artist I will make sure to repay you!
Just stumbled upon this channel by mistake.. The content is incredible, it took me years of making music to actually reach some of the conclusions you've just explained... Great job, keep it up!
Thanks for many good tips. Especially How to start. I tested your workflow with 16 "startnotes" , then created them longer and pitched them to other notes in the scale and that was a much easier way to create a melody. The last tips works for me too when I work with OP-Z and use the LFO, punch-in or tape-effects. Once again Thanks!
Amazing tutorials Paul! Main hooks are definitely my downfall at the moment. So hard to stop them sounding so repetitive and boring. This video is a god send to break out of a creative block! Thanks again!
@@audioreakt Haha, I've tried it but I'm sticking with Cubase for now. BTW the melody is of course Jeff Mills Bells. I guess not many old guys like me on your channel since no one guessed it ;-)
First , I want to thank for your videos . Really great stuff, very helpful! Would be nice , if you could make more examples of the question answer patterns.😊 All the best for you , keep on going 👍🏻
Such a fantastic channel! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Im wondering if its possible for you to show how to make retro techno/trance. In particular the Oliver Lieb/LSG sound. Like how to process the percussions, bass & so on to make them sound like he did. (Dirty with alot of "weight") Never heard anyone make better drums then him. For example "The Fade (Oliver Lieb Remix)" and "Peace (Oliver Lieb Remix)". Thanks again! :)
Holy shit i always thought polymeter was just a super nerdy theory thing for like mathy metal music, no wonder my grooves always sound static. Should have started doing this so long ago
@@audioreakt uh yes thank you for this :D btw I couldnt watch your videos for a long time because of financial problems I have the break to producing. I have to say this I didnt see any person like you in this whole production world, thanks for help Paul. The all tutorials includes academic experimental experiences. Thanks

Music theory is actually easy. When you do understand it.

You can take percussion loop and convert to midi and use it as your lead/melody line.great video as always.
yeah that's a great tips to have a solid rythm !
Do that in hardware I use the same sequence for tb03 and drum machine . Good rythm pitch a bit off some times
