Hello Lucy. try the self watering plants technique. wherein you put a wick at the bottom of the pot. the plants can survive at least a week.
You need to somehow find a schedule to rotate plant locations for those you kept indoors since they would still need actual sunlight exposure. Watering can be done once the potting media goes totally dry.

Replace the painting with a mirror, it will make the room look bigger. You can transfer the painting on the wall on top of the tv so it will give a nice reflection on the mirror whenever you'll enter your apartment ;)
The plants made a huge difference. Lovely and cozy home.
If you guys get some floor lamps and probably cube ottomans (that serves as extra seating or some have hidden storage inside) for putting your feet up, then you'd probably be almost complete in terms of living room furniture.

That big chunky palm you placed at the corner that goes in a straight row is a Traveler's Palm (Madagascar species). It actually goes massively tall.

I don't want to shake things up literally but one thing to consider when decorating or setting things in their places is not putting things that may hurt you or break in the event that earthquakes unexpectedly visit but not unfamiliar guests in the Philippines.

Nice crib👍🏼 If u will be gone for a few days, I would suggest making a wick using container with water and a cut-out wick from old cotton shirt or socks . The water level should be higher than the soil and I use plastic soda or water bottle and place it on the soil with the plant. The wick will supply the water from the bottle to the soil. It works for me.i have lots of plants indoor! You should try it, 😘💖💓

beautiful apartment! beautiful colors, specially with the addition of the plants. It made the house homier and inviting. maybe you can keep the painting and move it to the wall by the dining table and get your mirror in the living area. the mirror will give the illusion of a bigger space.
Ask the landlord if they can take the Artwork if you decide to change it to a mirror (which I think is a great idea to visually expand the place). If they take it then at least you won't need to store it yourself and occupy space in your unit, plus you wont need to worry about it being damaged while in storage.
Frozen cream dory fillet from grocery are not good. They have a lot preservatives. Buy fresh fish in the wet market instead.
Visit Maginhawa in Quezon City guys, there are alot of coffee shops and fancy restaurants in that area, Try Van Gogh is Bipolar

I love the nature there also. You should check out Ursa Beach resort in San Esteban, Ilocos Sur. It's small, kind of a private beach but awesome and in my opinion a local secret. Any tricycle driver in San Esteban should know it. It's the first beach I ever went to with my wife and has a sentimental value for me
sommelier is what you mean LOL! (wine waiter)....and no that cork opener is not broken, you were not supposed to clamp it with your hand while twisting the top.....while you twist, the two opposing handles should go up and when it reaches its limit you then pull the handles back down and the cork will pop up......much like lucy did LOL!

You need something to hang more things on the wall, pictures, photos, posters, landscape, seascape, etc!
Lovely choice of plants Lucy & George! When in doubt, it’s always better to underwater vs overwatering the plants, otherwise they will drown & die. Or you can google for how to best care for the ones w/o instructions. Yes! A large mirror would be nice to hang behind the sofa. Wayfair has a round one from their website as an example. 👌 Take care guys!
