Hi, to me the OSMO 2M wins because active tracking is too weak on ZY 4. It's an important feature in my opinion. And since it keep focus on subject you can do a nice vertigo with it with zoom in out in post.
At the time of your video, since then, Zhiyun had just released the Smooth 5, which has more bells and whistles and improvements to the issues that were addressed in the Smooth 4.

I got the smooth 4 and use it with my Huawei p20 pro in 4K (no stabilization in the phone) works really well. Love the pull focus and using the FiLMiC Pro app I can control the exposure as well!

Hi, I have a question about a problem I have with my smooth 4. When using the 3x3 Pano mode the gimbal does strange things and eventually I'm ending by switching on/off the gimbal. Logically the gimbal should do it's 3x3 shots left-centre-right or r-c-l, but that's were it goes all wrong, it never takes centre as it's reference point. It takes either left or right as it's reference point doing centre-left-left or c-r-r and where it crashes on the second left or right. Reported this at the Zhiyun company but never got a helpful answer. I'm hoping you could help me on this, I'm still learning how to use it and that problem really takes all the fun out of this proces 😟 I'm using my Smooth 4 with a OnePlus 5. Kind regards, Werner

The Osmo won for me because of the (albeit limited) integration with Filmic Pro. I’m not taking my case off to film because that is dangerous and I want to use Moment lenses, but that means my phone is held with friction in the Osmo. Does the Smooth work better with a case?
To me it seems that the osmo2 has better results! Stabilization and other features definitely win with dji 😊. I was about to order a smooth 4 for my 8+, but this review changed my mind 😊. Thank you a lot for your work! 😁👍🏻

For the most part, the OIS and the EIS feature it's much better if it's left on, because I see a lot of shakiness going on with it being off. Of course, in certain cases, the image stabilization feature needs to be off depending on what you are filming.

It shouldn’t matter since the gimbal will track the object and stay fixed on it. I recommend larger objects and very slow controlled movements! Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
EMT thanks, let me try tomorrow and I will let you know. I went to shoot Hyperlapse yesterday but was not able to find how to do it, in dji we have direct option for Hyperlapse. But in smooth 4 i was trying hyperlapse under motion lapse category and it was not working, then saw your video and realised that we need to be in normal timelapse mode.
How can you have access to the charging connector of an iPhone when you’re in landscape mode (allowing to charge the iPhone while shooting) ? Nobody can tell even Zhyiun !
I like what Zhiyun attempted to do with Smooth 4 and for the most part the main zoom and focus features work beautifully. Some aspects of the app make me stay with the more simple Osmo Mobile 2 but I could see situations in which I could leverage the robustness of the Smooth 4 like 4K 60 support and native 24fps. Im a practical guy so I like simple! Hehehe hope this helps! 🤘🏼
DJI Osmo Mobile2 is my choice. I have seen quite a bit of footage and Vlogs on the Movi Cinema Robot. It is fantastic and in a league of its own. But the price difference would allow you to buy THREE DJI Osmos to one Movi. Oh and the music was what made this video stand out -- OUTSTANDING!

I've never owned a gimbal stabilizer before and bought the DJI Osmo 2 and upon opening it this morning, I don't see a charger. How am supposed to charge it without a charger? Is there something I'm missing or did the salesperson at Best Buy fail to tell me that the chargers are extra?
Mine came with a micro usb cable. I use my phone brick since I have spares and sometimes I charge it with my battery backup. So far none of the ones I own come with an ac adapter. Hope this helps. Thanks for sharing!

Hello! Don’t know why it disconnects to be honest. I haven’t had this issue. Id recommend either re installing the app or updating the firmware of Smooth 4. They have release multiple versions in the past weeks via their website! Hope this helps! Depending on your needs I’d receive the either or. Active tracking in my opinion is better on the DJI Go App/DJI Osmo Mobile 2. The ZY Play app also has the editor and you can create quick videos with music and filters. Thanks for sharing your time with me! 🤘🏼

Realistically not really you can zoom with the Smooth q. The one thing is the wheel to alter focus. Oh and the phone go mode but depending of what your looking to film you might not really need it!
I like all the features on the Smooth 4, but the problems with the active tracking and the fact that Samsung users like myself can’t access all of the features of ZY app made me choose the DJI Osmo mobile 2.

I mean, if you're watching the video and you don't like the sound, just mute it. I don't like watching gimbal sample videos with sound on because it can take your focus away from the footage anyway.

I like that on the Smooth 4 app you can record natively in 24fps and still use the gimbal functionalities. I feel things like active tracking and timelapse are smoother on DJI Osmo mobile. Still, I sold my Osmo mobile and now I'm waiting on my Smooth to arrive. In terms of stabilizations, I think all gimbals are as good as the filmmaker. Hope I did a good investment. I'll let you know.

NISMOSPECR i think so. When walking isnt as stable as DJI Osmo Mobile 2, so i decides to buy an Osmo mobile 2 again for following a subject and using the Smooth 4 for different kinds of b-rolls. Don’t get me wrong is a beast, and does a lot of things that other gimbals don’t do, but stabilizations isn’t that smooth. Its definitely a great addition for mobile filmmakers.
So, you essentially lost money by selling your Osmo 2 and then repurchasing it. If I were you, next time, consider all options before selling your gear just to get what you think is the "next best thing."
Took an Osmo Mobile 2 just today, it was a forced decision because of ZY app that goes well only on IOS. Both are good devices, but if you need to rec on Android the choise must be only one ;) Great video as always EMT!

The Osmo Mobile 2 would be my recommendation. Filmic Pro is compatible with it! The Smooth 4 is great but definitely a bit behind software wise on the Android side. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
Just the video I’ve been waiting for! Fantastic! I also tried the OSMO mobile 2 today. One thing that puzzles me is that gimbal for DSLR often produce very stable footage even when walking for a long distance, but smartphone gimbal can only hold for just a few seconds before they turn all wobbly and jittery, how come? The weight? OIS crash?
Pretty much the vertical motion while walking can throw the phone of balance and trigger the OIS. This while stabilized can creat those visual jitters. Best technique is to avoid vertical shifts by walking smoothly or with the aid of skateboards, bicycles and things like that. Also the Electronic Image Stabilization found on the native camera app can help even further. Hope this helps!
Well we have vastly different hair textures and my hair might be a little longer, so I'm hoping it will look ok. I'm looking to buy the mobile 2 to go along with my Oppo F7 for this trip to Taipei next month so I'm hoping the cut will give me a bit of a confidence boost lol. Anyway, cool vid man. Yes you can! Around the 12:20 mark you can see the vertigo shots with DJI Osmo Mobile 2! Same premise of zooming in while walking backwards and walking in while zooming out. Super easy with the slider. The Smooth 4 has the capability of altering the focus with the wheel as well. Filmic pro allows you to change the focus as well with the zoom slider! Hope this helps! Well on ios the aperture is fixed. On both gimbals you can tap to focus and change exposure but with the Smooth 4 you can use that awesome wheel to adjust the focus, exposure and zoom. On the DJ asked memorable the slider only controls zoom. Both apps for both gimbals have manual controls for shutter speed, iso and more. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
Thanks EMT. You say that aperture is fixed. Do you mean automatic so that if you go from a light source to a dark source there is no way of manually changing the setting on the hoof? Is there a manual setting?
On iPhone X for example the wide 28mm lens opens at 1.4 aperture. It’s 52mm telephoto lens opens at 2.4 aperture. There is no variable aperture in between. You can manually change shutter speed, iso and and exposure compensation on the manual settings of the ZY Play app and DJI Go. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
Does the Osmo Mobile 2 app work with all smartphones - in particular - ZTE phones? I bought the Zhiyun Smooth Q and had to return it because their app does NOT work with ZTE phones.
It’s a hit or miss since it’s not optimized for some Android devices. You might encounter the absence of slow motion and 4K. Software wise I think DJI Go is better than ZY Play App stability wise but I’m judging from the iOS side. Hope this helps! Thanks for sharing your time with me!
EMT Welcome back with this outstanding video definitely very helpful for all of us.Man DJI’s software is much more stable imo than the Smooth 4 But I’m pretty sure that the smooth 4 is only gonna get better with the updates in the meantime I think the Osmos fits more my preferences out of this two gimbals even though the Smooth 4 in the physical aspect looks like a Ferrari ,functionality-wise its lack of performance needs some improvements the Osmos is not a pretty looking gimbal I wish they could come with a black color I really don’t like the gray ugly color.

You can with extra accessories! Im currently working on those videos! And I edit with Final Cut Pro X! But iMovie is a great option if on iOS/macOS. Hope this helps!

For my style and preference, yes. But if I Only had the Smooth 4, I can definitely create with it since the object tracking is not something essential to me and the wheel is a good tool to have for planed shots! Hope this helps!
Yes! But the smooth 4 for some reason is very floaty and the app’s autofocus is very sensitive. After the anti shake and locking the exposure everything started working like it should! Hope this helps! 🤘🏼

EMT Question: I received it today (much earlier than expected) but I am having a problem.. it is never perfectly level despite my iPhone X being properly adjusted/secured before actually powering it on. After it turns on and attempts to “self level” it is abundantly clear that it pulls lower to the right thus causing the video to never be perfectly level despite the smooth 4 being on a leveled out tripod. I don’t know how to resolve this & it’s really frustrating! Any advice?
Have you tried to walk and film with it outside? Mide did the same and it slowly found its way. If not there is a calibration tool in tue settings. Haven’t had to use it but it might help! Congratulations on receiving it! Keep me updated!
EMT I have been trying to locate this calibration tool and have not been able to find it. I have not tried to film outside with it yet, but will do that later today. I hope it finds its way, if not I will refund it and order the Movi Freefly instead. The Movi is a much better tool but lacks panoramic and object/subject tracking, so ideally I’d like to keep the Smooth 4 just for those 2 features alone & order the Movi for everything else.
Great video. Could you show the slow mo functionality of both? I understand the dji go app has a maximum resolution of 720 p when doing 120 fps where as the zhiyun can equal your phone's capability, i.e. if your phone can do 1080 p at 120fps then the zhiyun app will match that. Is this true?
That’s a great test in the making! Thanks for the suggestion! Just did a quick rundown and you’re accurate on the Osmo doing slow motion at 720p. Tried doing slow motion on the ZY Play app but it capped at 60fps. I’ll try to do a slow motion test in the coming days to see if this changes based on the lightning conditions for Smooth 4.
I have an iPhone 7 and want to get a gimbal for vlogging purposes. For somebody who has never used a gimbal before...which one should I get between the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 or the Zhiyun Smooth 4? I want to get the one that's the most user friendly and will give me the stablest visuals.
Both will do a great job but I’d say Osmo Mobile 2 since it’s software is on point. Smooth 4 is a great option but it might require a bit more tweaking the settings. Hope this helps!

Ohhh snap! What an awesome head2head!! Been looking forward to this too and your footage was great - some really beautiful shots that got to show off both gimbals. Still a hard choice imo as I feel both have strengths. I really like the idea of not having to touch my phone as much with the Smooth 4, but those shots on the DJI Mobile 2 were like butter! I wish the two could be combined into 1 amazing perfect gimbal! 🤣 Until then looks like I’m for sure going to end up with both eventually. Will be excited to see how your other gimbals compare to them too.

It doesn’t sadly. You can still use Filmic Pro in all it’s glory but the buttons didn’t work for me. Such a shame since there are so many buttons in the Smooth 4 that could navigate through most menus. Thanks for sharing your time with me! 🤘🏼

Hi! Both gimbals will be very similar stabilization wise. I feel that it comes down to your specific needs. The Smove Mobile is always in my bag because of that sweet extension capability. When vlogging, it helps with the field of view and also for crane shots. The app is similar. The Vimble 2 is basically the overseas version. Both are powered by Feiyutech but Smove owns it now. If the extension, trigger and portrait rotation seems useful to you I’d do Smove Mobile. Both with give you great results. Keep in mind that the Android versions of most gimbal apps might default to the common denominator and some software features might be different. Hope this helps!

Video from DJI is very sharp, and the small elements are clearly visible on the monument, but from Zhiyun video is a bit blurry. It is postproduction bug, or Zhiyun app added this blur at the recording stage? UPD: Can you also suggest a gimbal for phone without OIS (e.g. iPhone SE)? Because I don`t know what to choose, Zhiyun Smooth Q, Zhiyun Smooth 4 or DJI Osmo Mobile 2. Smooth Q looks smoother than Smooth 4, but in your other comparison Smooth Q vs Osmo 2 I have also noticed some small blur in Zhiyun with anti-shake mode on. Can you compare this 3 gimbals with phone without OIS, because some footages with OIS looks like battle between gimbal and OIS system... as I understand, even if OIS is disabled in apps, lens is not phisically locked and still can shake :(
Glad you liked the video! You are correct on the OIS situation. In this case the stabilization on the Osmo is a bit better when compared ZY Play app vs DJI Go without any EIS. The Camera app on iOS adds Electronic Image Stabilization and the ZY Play app has that setting too! Stabilization wise I’d say Osmo 2 has the better stabilization.
Electronic stabilization in ZY Play app causes little blur, right? Or this is postproduction bug? DJI Go app does not have any settings for EIS and OIS?
It might occasionally show blurry ness for split seconds since it’s digitally shifting. The DJI Go app does not have the EIS option but the stabilization response is really good without it. Alternatively you can use the camera app! Hope this helps!

Congratulations on the Smooth 4! I’d test it and practice because even though the bare bones app might look a bit shaky, turning OIS/EIS can definitely help! I was able to get some good broll and will play some more because technique is super important. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
I bought DJI OM 2 1 month ago. After seeing this video, i think my selection is true. My combo is combination between DJI OM 2 and Iphone 8 plus. In fact, it did not work perfectively in many cases, because i think Iphone 8+ is very heavy.

Logically the gimbal should do it's 3x3 shots left-centre-right or r-c-l, but that's were it goes all wrong, it never takes centre as it's reference point.
It takes either left or right as it's reference point doing centre-left-left or c-r-r and where it crashes on the second left or right.
Reported this at the Zhiyun company but never got a helpful answer.
I'm hoping you could help me on this, I'm still learning how to use it and that problem really takes all the fun out of this proces 😟
I'm using my Smooth 4 with a OnePlus 5.

The Osmo won for me because of the (albeit limited) integration with Filmic Pro. I’m not taking my case off to film because that is dangerous and I want to use Moment lenses, but that means my phone is held with friction in the Osmo. Does the Smooth work better with a case?

For the most part, the OIS and the EIS feature it's much better if it's left on, because I see a lot of shakiness going on with it being off. Of course, in certain cases, the image stabilization feature needs to be off depending on what you are filming.

Hey, do we need to be in pan following or locked mode while trying Hyperlapse in smooth 4?
It shouldn’t matter since the gimbal will track the object and stay fixed on it. I recommend larger objects and very slow controlled movements! Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
EMT thanks, let me try tomorrow and I will let you know. I went to shoot Hyperlapse yesterday but was not able to find how to do it, in dji we have direct option for Hyperlapse. But in smooth 4 i was trying hyperlapse under motion lapse category and it was not working, then saw your video and realised that we need to be in normal timelapse mode.

I like what Zhiyun attempted to do with Smooth 4 and for the most part the main zoom and focus features work beautifully. Some aspects of the app make me stay with the more simple Osmo Mobile 2 but I could see situations in which I could leverage the robustness of the Smooth 4 like 4K 60 support and native 24fps. Im a practical guy so I like simple! Hehehe hope this helps! 🤘🏼

DJI Osmo Mobile2 is my choice. I have seen quite a bit of footage and Vlogs on the Movi Cinema Robot. It is fantastic and in a league of its own. But the price difference would allow you to buy THREE DJI Osmos to one Movi. Oh and the music was what made this video stand out -- OUTSTANDING!

I've never owned a gimbal stabilizer before and bought the DJI Osmo 2 and upon opening it this morning, I don't see a charger. How am supposed to charge it without a charger? Is there something I'm missing or did the salesperson at Best Buy fail to tell me that the chargers are extra?
Mine came with a micro usb cable. I use my phone brick since I have spares and sometimes I charge it with my battery backup. So far none of the ones I own come with an ac adapter. Hope this helps. Thanks for sharing!

Hello! Don’t know why it disconnects to be honest. I haven’t had this issue. Id recommend either re installing the app or updating the firmware of Smooth 4. They have release multiple versions in the past weeks via their website! Hope this helps! Depending on your needs I’d receive the either or. Active tracking in my opinion is better on the DJI Go App/DJI Osmo Mobile 2. The ZY Play app also has the editor and you can create quick videos with music and filters. Thanks for sharing your time with me! 🤘🏼

Realistically not really you can zoom with the Smooth q. The one thing is the wheel to alter focus. Oh and the phone go mode but depending of what your looking to film you might not really need it!

It’s a tough one! It depends on your needs primarily. I kinda sided with other gimbals overall but the Smooth 4 is a fantastic option.
I like all the features on the Smooth 4, but the problems with the active tracking and the fact that Samsung users like myself can’t access all of the features of ZY app made me choose the DJI Osmo mobile 2.

Agree. The narrative voice volume compared to the music is WAY off. I had to keep adjusting the volume while watching.
I couldn't stand that music either, but maybe that's just me.
I mean, if you're watching the video and you don't like the sound, just mute it. I don't like watching gimbal sample videos with sound on because it can take your focus away from the footage anyway.

I like that on the Smooth 4 app you can record natively in 24fps and still use the gimbal functionalities. I feel things like active tracking and timelapse are smoother on DJI Osmo mobile. Still, I sold my Osmo mobile and now I'm waiting on my Smooth to arrive. In terms of stabilizations, I think all gimbals are as good as the filmmaker. Hope I did a good investment. I'll let you know.

NISMOSPECR i think so. When walking isnt as stable as DJI Osmo Mobile 2, so i decides to buy an Osmo mobile 2 again for following a subject and using the Smooth 4 for different kinds of b-rolls. Don’t get me wrong is a beast, and does a lot of things that other gimbals don’t do, but stabilizations isn’t that smooth. Its definitely a great addition for mobile filmmakers.
So, you essentially lost money by selling your Osmo 2 and then repurchasing it. If I were you, next time, consider all options before selling your gear just to get what you think is the "next best thing."

Took an Osmo Mobile 2 just today, it was a forced decision because of ZY app that goes well only on IOS. Both are good devices, but if you need to rec on Android the choise must be only one ;) Great video as always EMT!

The Osmo Mobile 2 would be my recommendation. Filmic Pro is compatible with it! The Smooth 4 is great but definitely a bit behind software wise on the Android side. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
Just the video I’ve been waiting for! Fantastic! I also tried the OSMO mobile 2 today. One thing that puzzles me is that gimbal for DSLR often produce very stable footage even when walking for a long distance, but smartphone gimbal can only hold for just a few seconds before they turn all wobbly and jittery, how come? The weight? OIS crash?
Pretty much the vertical motion while walking can throw the phone of balance and trigger the OIS. This while stabilized can creat those visual jitters. Best technique is to avoid vertical shifts by walking smoothly or with the aid of skateboards, bicycles and things like that. Also the Electronic Image Stabilization found on the native camera app can help even further. Hope this helps!

Yes you can! Around the 12:20 mark you can see the vertigo shots with DJI Osmo Mobile 2! Same premise of zooming in while walking backwards and walking in while zooming out. Super easy with the slider. The Smooth 4 has the capability of altering the focus with the wheel as well. Filmic pro allows you to change the focus as well with the zoom slider! Hope this helps! Well on ios the aperture is fixed. On both gimbals you can tap to focus and change exposure but with the Smooth 4 you can use that awesome wheel to adjust the focus, exposure and zoom. On the DJ asked memorable the slider only controls zoom. Both apps for both gimbals have manual controls for shutter speed, iso and more. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
Thanks EMT. You say that aperture is fixed. Do you mean automatic so that if you go from a light source to a dark source there is no way of manually changing the setting on the hoof? Is there a manual setting?
On iPhone X for example the wide 28mm lens opens at 1.4 aperture. It’s 52mm telephoto lens opens at 2.4 aperture. There is no variable aperture in between. You can manually change shutter speed, iso and and exposure compensation on the manual settings of the ZY Play app and DJI Go. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
Does the Osmo Mobile 2 app work with all smartphones - in particular - ZTE phones? I bought the Zhiyun Smooth Q and had to return it because their app does NOT work with ZTE phones.
It’s a hit or miss since it’s not optimized for some Android devices. You might encounter the absence of slow motion and 4K. Software wise I think DJI Go is better than ZY Play App stability wise but I’m judging from the iOS side. Hope this helps! Thanks for sharing your time with me!

But I’m pretty sure that the smooth 4 is only gonna get better with the updates in the meantime I think the Osmos fits more my preferences out of this two gimbals even though the Smooth 4 in the physical aspect looks like a Ferrari ,functionality-wise its
lack of performance needs some improvements the Osmos is not a pretty looking gimbal I wish they could come with a black color I really don’t like the gray ugly color.

You can with extra accessories! Im currently working on those videos! And I edit with Final Cut Pro X! But iMovie is a great option if on iOS/macOS. Hope this helps!

For my style and preference, yes. But if I Only had the Smooth 4, I can definitely create with it since the object tracking is not something essential to me and the wheel is a good tool to have for planed shots! Hope this helps!

Did you balance the phones in the gimbals before you turn them on? Those shakes were triggering me.
Yes! But the smooth 4 for some reason is very floaty and the app’s autofocus is very sensitive. After the anti shake and locking the exposure everything started working like it should! Hope this helps! 🤘🏼

EMT Question: I received it today (much earlier than expected) but I am having a problem.. it is never perfectly level despite my iPhone X being properly adjusted/secured before actually powering it on. After it turns on and attempts to “self level” it is abundantly clear that it pulls lower to the right thus causing the video to never be perfectly level despite the smooth 4 being on a leveled out tripod. I don’t know how to resolve this & it’s really frustrating! Any advice?
Have you tried to walk and film with it outside? Mide did the same and it slowly found its way. If not there is a calibration tool in tue settings. Haven’t had to use it but it might help! Congratulations on receiving it! Keep me updated!
EMT I have been trying to locate this calibration tool and have not been able to find it. I have not tried to film outside with it yet, but will do that later today. I hope it finds its way, if not I will refund it and order the Movi Freefly instead. The Movi is a much better tool but lacks panoramic and object/subject tracking, so ideally I’d like to keep the Smooth 4 just for those 2 features alone & order the Movi for everything else.

Great video. Could you show the slow mo functionality of both? I understand the dji go app has a maximum resolution of 720 p when doing 120 fps where as the zhiyun can equal your phone's capability, i.e. if your phone can do 1080 p at 120fps then the zhiyun app will match that. Is this true?
That’s a great test in the making! Thanks for the suggestion! Just did a quick rundown and you’re accurate on the Osmo doing slow motion at 720p. Tried doing slow motion on the ZY Play app but it capped at 60fps. I’ll try to do a slow motion test in the coming days to see if this changes based on the lightning conditions for Smooth 4.

I have an iPhone 7 and want to get a gimbal for vlogging purposes. For somebody who has never used a gimbal before...which one should I get between the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 or the Zhiyun Smooth 4? I want to get the one that's the most user friendly and will give me the stablest visuals.
Both will do a great job but I’d say Osmo Mobile 2 since it’s software is on point. Smooth 4 is a great option but it might require a bit more tweaking the settings. Hope this helps!

Everything so far has been the iOS version of the app. Don’t have an Android device yet but I do know that the software on android is not optimized. Moza is currently testing the android version!

Still a hard choice imo as I feel both have strengths. I really like the idea of not having to touch my phone as much with the Smooth 4, but those shots on the DJI Mobile 2 were like butter! I wish the two could be combined into 1 amazing perfect gimbal! 🤣 Until then looks like I’m for sure going to end up with both eventually. It doesn’t sadly. You can still use Filmic Pro in all it’s glory but the buttons didn’t work for me. Such a shame since there are so many buttons in the Smooth 4 that could navigate through most menus. Thanks for sharing your time with me! 🤘🏼
Hi . I have a question from the time to buy Smove Mobile or DJI OSMO MOBILE 2 prices in total similar. The app is said to be a lot different from Vimble 2. But Vimble has a selfie stick. Hi! Both gimbals will be very similar stabilization wise. I feel that it comes down to your specific needs. The Smove Mobile is always in my bag because of that sweet extension capability. When vlogging, it helps with the field of view and also for crane shots. The app is similar. The Vimble 2 is basically the overseas version. Both are powered by Feiyutech but Smove owns it now. If the extension, trigger and portrait rotation seems useful to you I’d do Smove Mobile. Both with give you great results. Keep in mind that the Android versions of most gimbal apps might default to the common denominator and some software features might be different. Hope this helps!

Can you explain blurred video from Zhiyun on left side in hyperlapse comparison on 08:49?
Video from DJI is very sharp, and the small elements are clearly visible on the monument, but from Zhiyun video is a bit blurry. It is postproduction bug, or Zhiyun app added this blur at the recording stage?
UPD: Can you also suggest a gimbal for phone without OIS (e.g. iPhone SE)?
Because I don`t know what to choose, Zhiyun Smooth Q, Zhiyun Smooth 4 or DJI Osmo Mobile 2.
Smooth Q looks smoother than Smooth 4, but in your other comparison Smooth Q vs Osmo 2 I have also noticed some small blur in Zhiyun with anti-shake mode on.
Can you compare this 3 gimbals with phone without OIS, because some footages with OIS looks like battle between gimbal and OIS system... as I understand, even if OIS is disabled in apps, lens is not phisically locked and still can shake :(
Glad you liked the video! You are correct on the OIS situation. In this case the stabilization on the Osmo is a bit better when compared ZY Play app vs DJI Go without any EIS. The Camera app on iOS adds Electronic Image Stabilization and the ZY Play app has that setting too! Stabilization wise I’d say Osmo 2 has the better stabilization.

DJI Go app does not have any settings for EIS and OIS?
It might occasionally show blurry ness for split seconds since it’s digitally shifting. The DJI Go app does not have the EIS option but the stabilization response is really good without it. Alternatively you can use the camera app! Hope this helps!

Congratulations on the Smooth 4! I’d test it and practice because even though the bare bones app might look a bit shaky, turning OIS/EIS can definitely help! I was able to get some good broll and will play some more because technique is super important. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼

I bought DJI OM 2 1 month ago. After seeing this video, i think my selection is true.
My combo is combination between DJI OM 2 and Iphone 8 plus. In fact, it did not work perfectively in many cases, because i think Iphone 8+ is very heavy.
