  • Me embarrassingly showing off a catchy tune written on my Kawasaki Electronic Digital Guitar. While in ‘chord’ mode, the frets go up in Mays (4ths). There’s also a ‘lead’ mode which is more comfortably chromatic. I found this toy at a thrift store for $5. When I got it, I noticed that the E and D strings were swapped, so I had to open it up and rewire it. Unfortunately it’s missing a large red Kawasaki logo on the front.

You really capture the joy of the creative process while making really solid work in a way that is almost completely unique to you, lol. I'm pretty much doing a deep dive of your work by this point and it's probably pretty obvious because I keep feeling compelled to leave nice comments over and over because everything you make is interesting

Cool! Also, have you ever tried out tracker music? (The Ultimate Soundtracker, ProTracker, Impulse Tracker, OpenMPT, etc.) It's really cool, and the history of it is also cool! (Long story short, in 1986, Chris Hülsbeck created Soundmonitor for the Commodore 64, and in 1987, Karsten Obarski was [probably] inspired by that, and also had to make music for a friend's video game, so he made The Ultimate Soundtracker for the Commodore Amiga 1000, and the "ST-01" sample pack to go with it)

Yes, I know about trackers. I remember watching a video on the history of Amiga trackers at some point. I'm more moved by live playing than sequenced music, but I appreciate the history of the technology.
