  • We review the Harbor Freight Holt automatic grease gun and the Holt locking grease coupler. We like the grease gun we love the coupler. Do not buy the Harbor Freight pneumatic grease gun from Central Pneumatic (we did and we regret it, total waste of $20) The Holt automatic air grease gun $60 is totally worth every penny. The high dollar battery grease guns (Dewalt, Milwaukie etc. are more convenient but don't do anything better.) YMMV... Don't forget to like, subscribe, and we Love your comments. Enjoy your day and be safe ❤

    Got one .
    I’m a truck driver.
    Works GR8: about 38 grease zerks around a straight truck / 3 axles. 😮.
    Not premier just pump it up .
    Easy. Life is good

    Great video, I’ve researched these on Amazon and I decided the harbor freight was the best one for the price plus they had a 25% off coupon so I bought it today and I think it was $54, great grease gun and I wanted to double check on that extra copper washer that came in there it’s a crush washer and I hesitated to use it but then again because the other bolt has one in the heads I’m going to install the crash washer and I’m still going to use a little bit of Teflon tape just to be safe it’s always a good idea

    They have made and supplied these to Harbor Freight for years. From what I can see, it's the same design. Mine has lasted me for years.

      Thanks for watching and your comment. Yes we have had that one for a few years already and it is still working perfectly. There is one that says pneumatic but doesn’t say automatic and you have to hit the trigger every time you want a dab of grease. I had that also and didn’t like it at all. The automatic one is great it keeps pumping grease as long as the trigger is held down. Have a great day and be safe!

      Thanks for watching and your comment. It sounds like you need to prime your grease gun. The vent cap on the top can be loosened then operate the gun until grease comes out the vent either through the end or around the threads. Then tighten the vent and you should be good to go. If that doesn’t work you can loosen the grease cartridge case a couple of turns and operate the gun a few seconds then re-tighten the cartridge case and that should make it work. Priming just removes the air between the grease and the outlet and only is a problem when changing grease cartridge’s. I hope that helps and thanks again for watching and your comment. Have a great day and be safe!

    Good video, will a regular 14oz grease cartridge work? Or do you have to change the plunger? Thx

    Nice Video - Could you please answer a few questions regarding the air compressor? I have a Harbor Freight CENTRAL PNEUMATIC 3 Gal. 1/3 HP 100 PSI Oil-Free Pancake - Will that provide enough air pressure? Thank You

    • @CopperBarnHomestead
      @CopperBarnHomestead  Год назад +1

      It should if it goes to 100psi, you may have to take a minute between grease fittings to let your tank build up if you are greasing a bunch of fittings but I am pretty sure you have enough air to operate the gun.

    Is okay if their is old grease that is left in the stuff I just bought mine yesterday and I never used it also is the spring supposed to be a little bent

    • @CopperBarnHomestead
      @CopperBarnHomestead  29 дней назад

      I don’t think there should have been grease inside it if you just bought it. The spring does kind of bend as it compresses but if it looks bent and kinked it might be another sign that someone already purchased and then returned the one you have. Have a great day and be safe!

      Thanks for watching and your comment. It just takes the standard 1/4” you can buy in the multi packs at HF. Have a great day and be safe!

    Without the grease coupler won't it work?

    • @CopperBarnHomestead
      @CopperBarnHomestead  2 года назад +2

      Thank you for watching and your question. Yes it comes with the standard old style coupler and that works ok. The lock and lube copy works so much better though I would get it too. Once I used a locking coupler I never want to use anything else. Have a good day, be safe ❤️
