The reason I think xbox series X is the best console is because it can play old xbox games 360 games in original games and it's more backward compatible than the PS5. Xbox 360 was a great consule

I don't think they are making it softer, they have "vampire" mutator on, that's why they are shooting every drone in the legs so they can recover easily.

I would have thought players who play on insane and then upload to RUclips would be professional players. Sadly all I saw here was just a cover and shoot whilst bottlenecking the AI. In GOW4 perhaps what the developers should really do is not create poor AI. They should also create a time limit on all Insane rounds forcing the player(s) to take the battle to the enemy. Oh and no shields past level 40.
I can understand, in a way... But in fact, it's a score game, and there's only one way to have max points. You down the ennemy, wait for his medic, you spot him, and you kill him. Downs, spots, are necessary if you want the best SCORE. It's a different kind of play and if you want to be a hero, well, yes, you can pass over your shield on wave 41, and try to kill some. You will survive 2 seconds maybe, maybe less.
David Moon David. Out of all the Gears of War videos on here (that feature Horde Mode) I'd say around 1% actually title their video "score". Most people write "wave 50" "insane" "no deaths". Therefore videos uploaded are more about bragging rights. Bragging and perhaps creating a solution to many people's incompletion of the game. I beg to differ upon your final comment. Well. If I played at even level 10, even with a shield I would probably die. I haven't played Gears since G3 came out, and I've forgotten much of it. Yet there are players who play nothing but Gears. They've completed the game with 100% achievement. I'm pretty sure, 5 elite players who know how to use their guns effectively with one another, could quite easily do wave 50 Insane with minor worries. I mean I completed Gears 3 on Insane setting (story mode), surely Horde isn't that much more challenging? And I'm a shit player. Fuck I ramble :(
Bragging, I don't know. I use to make that "big" points game, I know it's very hard and you have to be with 4 other strong players. These players are 1st on almost each map. But the problem is the damages, it's impossible without a cover. That what I was thinking with my last words. In normal, you can be a 5 players team commando and run over the map, like killers. But insane mode will kill you instantly. One bullet, one ticker and you die. Gears 4 comin' and... there's no shield ! So we'll see. We'll cover again and again, anyway.

The horde mode is the only one with a decent leaderboard. I mean, the 1st have the best score, not like in the others, execution or king of the hill for exemples, where the 1st on the leaderboard is the player who played 30,000 game. and it doesn't mean that it's the best player... We can see it like a highscore culture. You can challenge your game like you want, but here, we aim the best score. And as I said, there's only one way to get all the points. Which mean, downing, spots, and.... no death. Deathes cost you many points. And believe me, the ennemies are rushing you hard enough (and i always think about the damage of one bullet) to take care of your shield. At some points, a player who loose his shield between 2 waves is a player in trouble, pretty close to be down or instantly killed by a sniper.And here we are, taking these 1,4 million points (pretty close the max that you can have, there's a good 1,42 on a map, but there's only 2 maps where we can see 1,40 and this 1,42) represents the challenge.I can tell you some things and I hope that i wont be annoying. We dont play with the boomshot, or the sniper longshot. We never use mulcher. 4 players have lancer and Torqbow, and only torq. The last one is in the silverback, and driving the silverback is a real role. It's alway the same player who drivin it. It's the last killer. Because if you double down a ennemy with your lancer, this double down cost you some points.(sometimes, the lancer is not powerful enough to be sure of the kill without downing) We down him once, spot him, and the silverback kill him. Tickers comin fast and we have to take care of the spot before the SB kill it. The spot last 10 seconds, sometimes we count, 5, 4, 3, 2.... "Ok, wait for respot". We have to take care of many things and when we have 5, 6, or more ennemies just in front of us, all this stuff can be a terrible mess, terribly hard, even behind your shield. Because your shield doesn't help you to make a good down, or a good headshot on the dangerous boomer. We also play with the perfect reload, it could mean nothing, but miss your reload and you'll loose some precious seconds, sometimes. And if nobody see the grenadier, swinging his frag, we just hear a fast "bip bip bip", and one frag kill all the team. Game over. The worst death.Ok, I stop. The challenge is real. Why we always see the same players being 1st or on the top ?I'm just taking about this point race. It's one way how you can play horde. And I can't wait for Gears 4 and see the new one. We'll have a new kind of play for sure. The team work will be the first skill.

if you play with 4 additional players, it's much more easier. After completing every wave there's a summary. Clearly "insane".

I did it on Blood Drive with 3 friends without mutators, very hard. But we were fortunate enough to get reavers in 50th wave :D
