They say "Winter is coming" like doom is approaching because winters in this world can last for years. The children of the series have known summer weather (or mild cold in Winterfell) for their entire lives.
the lack of Dany in book 2 kills me, BUT her final chapter in the House of the Undying with the 1278582924 prophecies was SO mindblowingly cool it ALMOST made up for it for me 😂 and her chapters are WILD in Storm of Swords omg… practically everyone’s chapters are, Storm is the climax for sooo many built up plot threads so a lot of it feels almost like nonstop action in comparison to Game and Clash, it’s CRAZY how much happens in one book. ahhhh I can’t wait for you to experience it!!! 🙏🏻💜
Glad I wasn't the only one pestering you to keep reading the series. The third book, A Storm of Swords is my personal favorite of the series and one of my favorite fantasy books of all time.
I'm on A Clash of Kings in my Song of Ice and Fire journey as well. I was not expecting A Game of Thrones to be SO GOOD. I can't wait to read this one, too!
I literally watched the video where you read the first book. And now, I saw in my subscriptions I see the second book. I really like you and your husbands reading video’s. And I’m planning to re-read the series, because I love them also 😊🐲
The way I had to pause to cackle at “Brian” hahaha I’ve only read the first book (but have seen the entire TV series), but you’re making me want to pick up the books again!
I’m loving this! Game of Thrones is my comfort series. I literally have a hand of the king pin that I wear almost every single day. I’ve probably read this series 20 times and I still act shocked. I can’t wait to see you read the other books. Book 4 is my favorite!
Not a series I would ever touch, but will still watch every video by you💗 Also adore the moments that Ian just laughs in the background or is caught walking around & being a goofball😂
You are a great reactor, it’s crazy how we can clearly see the emotions that the book makes you feel on your face! One thing, the Guy Bolton that comes to winterfell to “save” Theon but actually takes controll of the castle is not the man that Arya was doing the cupberer for, that one is at Harrenal and it’s Lord Roose Bolton, the one that arrives at Winterfell It’s his bastard son, Ramsay, and he was actually impersonating Reek the all time with Theon, you probably noticed that, at some point in the book, they talk about the fact that the bastard of Lord Bolton took as wife a woman from the north (by force) and that they send a part of the army to take over him, when they come back, they say that they killed him and they bring back his basically “slave” Reek, it’s implied at the end that the one that they brought back to Winterfell was actually the bastard, Ramsay and the one that they killed, thinking it was the bastard, was actually Reek. So the one suggesting Theon to do all those bad things, like killing the two boys, and pretending like they were the two Starks children was Ramsay all along
I'm planning to read GOT this year, I remember starting it years ago when the first season came out but the story was so fresh I stopped and didn't continue. I love how giggly you are 🤗you're so sweet!
I know for a fact I don’t have the patience to read the whole series but ahh you are tempting me to try with how excited you describe everything 😅 Also love how you always pick the best ambient music for the video
I recently checked out A Game of Thrones. The last time I had the book out of the library, Katelyn had Tyrion as a prisoner. I am going to have to start over because it's been quite a few years since I got that far.
Glad you liked it! Although I'm sad you weren't as interested in Westeros' One True King Stannis, but since he's a completely new character in this book I guess it's normal. Hope you like Storm of Swords!
As a comic book enjoyer, I am absolutely used to series that never finish. So many great ideas canceled because of scheduling issues or artist conflicts or poor sales, but you loved it anyway😢
You and Ian have convinced me to buy these books! Im really looking forward to starting. Im still watching this video because i have the memory of a goldfish and will forget everything you said by tomorrow lol
I’m doing a read through of this series as well but by audio book. I’m going to have to pay for an audible subscription soon lol because I ran out of my free trial. I finished this one in November. Just a heads up, the Bolton in Winterfell is a different Bolton that Arya is dealing with. Arya is cup bearer to Lord Bolton. The Bolton in Winterfell is his bastard son! So many names and confusing but it is important to the story!
This series is one of my partner’s favorites so I’m (slowly) making my way through. I’m not going to lie, the writing style makes me feel lost but I feel like the 3rd book finally helped it start to click for me!
I'm glad you're enjoying the books and that you get to read them without spoilers. I read the books after seeing the show, and even then I watched the show a few years after it started so I had many deaths and plot points spoiled for me before viewing.
Obviously Theon is an absolute dog of a bloke, but his chapters in Clash did give me one of my favourite quotes in the series: "'If I die now,' he thought, 'I die friendless and alone.' What choice did that leave him but to live?"
I'm convinced that Winds of Winter is never gonna make its way into the publishing house. So, I'm gonna read this series during summer... Does that make sense? 🤔
I think I've mentioned this before, but today Dan Brown announced his new book in the Robert Langdon series. I’d love for you to read the previous five books and maybe share your thoughts on them. It would mean a lot to me if you could dive into "Angels and Demons," "The Da Vinci Code," "The Secret History," "Inferno," and "Origin."
I still believe he'll finish it. (Or I'm choosing to). George has slow periods where he gets stuck, and then he'll write 500 pages in a year. Also, because he's writing blood and fire, And the next dunk and egg book, which All have intertwining lore and history, he essentially he's writing three books at once...while also making sure it doesn't lead into any dead ends for a dream of spring. Maybe it's naive, but I'll keep on hoping
part of me wants to read the series but having watching the show, I already know what happens. If GRRM came out with the next books(which might be never) and they had a different ending to what we saw in the show then i'd give it a shot. Otherwise, it's fun watching you react to the story :)
You have much more patience than I do, I cannot deal with so many different POV. My ADHD gets too impulsive and I start skipping chapters to continue stories of one individual. I detested Sansa at first, Arya is by far my favorite, and Jon or Bran thereafter.
After I had read the books for the first time I also went back and did this the second time. It really makes character beats, journeys and themes stand out way more if you listen to a character’s POV’s one after another instead of going through the book and reading as them come.
Enjoy the series but just be ok with the fact that there will not be ending to this. Even if by some miracle GRRM finishes book 6 there is no way Book 7 will ever see the light of day.
I had to read Game of Thrones for an English class in high school and I thought it was so long and boring I just watched the first season of the show to pass my reading quizzes because they were exactly the same story. I think the show and books took different paths after the first couple books but I’m not sure, I only got through the first one 😅
this guy i hooked up with once texted me months later saying, “i don’t know why, but i can’t stop thinking about you.” like, we met ONCE, and now he’s still thinking about me? i thought it was funny at first, but honestly, i’ve been noticing that people respond to me differently lately. it’s almost like there’s a shift in how they’re drawn to me. i don’t know, it’s hard to explain, but i did read this one book called Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki a while ago, and maybe there’s something to how your energy affects others.
i got hit on by my boss’s wife the other day. she came up to me at an office party and said, “there’s something about you that’s hard to ignore.” i didn’t even know what to say, just stood there kind of shocked. the weird part is, i’ve been getting this kind of attention a lot lately-people just seem to find me magnetic. not sure what changed, but i do remember reading something about how energy influences interactions, maybe it’s from this book Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki i picked up a while ago.
i ran into my old friend at the gym yesterday, and the first thing they said to me was, “wow, you’ve changed. you’ve got this vibe now.” i just laughed it off, but deep down, i’ve been noticing it too. people seem to be reacting to me differently. i had seen Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki recommended a lot in RUclips comments, so i decided to check it out. now, i’m starting to think it might be connected to how i’ve shifted my energy.

They also say it as a warning to their enemies that Starks (winter) is coming for them

Ashlynn your make up in that thumbnail is flawless! I’ve never seen those GOT covers 🤩
THANK YOU!!! 🥹 i bought them when they came out last year and it actually motivated me to pick the series back up! 😆
It’s finally here! A Clash of Kings! 😁 ❤ 😁
I'm convinced that Winds of Winter is never gonna make its way into the publishing house.
So, I'm gonna read this series during summer...
Does that make sense? 🤔
I love these kind of videos 🤩🤩🤩
You’re so not ready for how epic a storm of swords!!
I’m so excited 🤭🤭
Eagerly awaiting the next reek... i mean read.
I just finished the first book! I loved it! I have the rest of the series but so sad I may never actually finish the series...
SO EXCITED
Just bear in mind what Ser Jorah says in the first book, a "Dothraki" wedding without a few murders is considered a dull affair.

The Theon hate is so funny
IM TRYING TO GET BACK INTO IT BUT I HAVE SCHOOL 😭
You guys going to watch the show too?
Ish gets BUCKWILD because of that stupid knife!
I am crying omg 😭😂😭😭
Do you think if I watched games of thrones it will ruin the books? I’m worried I won’t be able to like the books since I watched the show lol
Dammit now we gotta wait till the next sponsor for the next book review
What 😭 not at all 😂
I enjoyed your reactions more than I enjoyed the book😂
Hahahaha 😂😂😂
my first time reading Theon Clash chapters: 😬
me rereading Theon Clash chapters: 😭

It was like Martin was punishing us for desire Theon to be punished 🤧
When you (cuz you have to) read a storm of swords, you'll probably die or something
I fear Theon is a canon event 😂
Oooohhhhh nooooooo don’t say that 😭😭😭😭😭😭
You need to pick up a storm of swords
Brian?!😂
Jakie? Jaqen
I won’t touch this series unless he finishes it
Fair!!!!
It’s better unfinished than 99.9999999% percent of slop out there that does get finished
@@Bluerock121 Sure. But unfinished is not worth my time. If there is no payoff I’m not taking the journey.

Tom Felton
Ebury Publishing, Oct 13, 2022 - Biography & Autobiography - 320 pages
They called for a break, and Gambon magicked up a cigarette from out of his beard. He and I were often to be found outside the stage door, having 'a breath of fresh air', as we referred to it. There would be painters and plasterers and chippies and sparks, and among them all would be me and Dumbledore having a crafty cigarette.
