Can't wait to watch it, as I'm busy now. 2 to 4 inches of snow Sunday night into Monday, and I fertilized last week, and now, the grass might be 3-4 inches high. Lol. I need to do spring cleanup soon!
Looks nice Brian. Just mowed 18 Wednesday , 12, Thursday, 14 Friday, and 2 before Thunderstorms today. Sorry you got snow but that is why I left Michigan in '05'. Hope it warms up soon for y'all very soon.
Brian I know I just left you a comment and I finished your video. Right hand grip the handle, index finger trigger, thumb to the switch. if you squeeze the throttle with the trigger finger then use your thumb in a downwards motion and that locks the throttle. i like the control cause it saves my trigger finger on long blowing jobs. hope this helps if it hasnt been done before in the comments
Brian's, I see a few people have recommended a jump box for you I would totally agree with that this is what I run JNC950 it's considered professional grade. I keep it in my truck and what I like about it is that jump box has made me over $2,000 now in the ten years that I've owned it, when I'm snow plowing during the winter months if I see somebody's Hood up and they can't get their car started because of a dead battery I help jump-start it for 20 / 25 bucks cash. That jump box had saved me a few times also but it's made a lot of money for me. food for thought...
Brian I heard you give props to South Bend. Go Irish!!! Anyway it's snowing here in Indy and I just had a job today of all things. But I do want to throw you a comment on the 580BTS. I bought mine from my local Husky dealer last year and it has an insane amount of power and it actually sits well on the back too. Does take awhile to get used to the huge blower tube but it's what it is. My dealer recommended using "Ethanol Shield" in all my small stuff due to the ethanol eating everything. I have about 800 hours on the BTS and it's been the best blower hands down. Just figured I'd give you a user review since I one.
Here in Kansas Husqvarna is cool. Love the back pack blower. Very ergo friendly and you don't get monoxificated. Ok made that word up 🙂 but I'm sure you know what I mean. You almost feel like you're flying a Black Hawk helo!
Just found your channel! ....Cool!... I have the Hus 580 for years and I love it! I tried the Redmax, like some others have posted Hus. makes Redmax but you will notice the comfort difference in fall clean up with customers with large yards and a lot of leaves.
The handle on the 580 is right they are like that. Takes a bit of getting used to my old backpack is a Husky copy and has the same thing I often found myself holding it sideways though bit more comfortable. I have a BR700 now though and its a beast. From what I have heard the Redmax and Husky really drink while the Stihls sip fuel my 700 uses barely anything. Also might need to prime your gear a little more before starting and it will fire up much quicker. I do most of mine about 5-6 times and get it in 1-2 pulls even from stone cold. Great video ;D
lol... just had a similar arm fail. A customer and 2 of his neighbors were watching me mow last Saturday. Ya just know he was Like "check out my guy, he's awesome!". Ok, ready to fire up the rider and impress.😎 5 times... i start it, engage the blades and stall. "Prob just some bad fuel folks... ha ha". I then notice my right arm sitting in just a bit. Push it out, start it, engage blades and we're off! I swear, ONLY with onlookers😄
I dont have any husquvarna 2 cycle power tools. I run stihl might have to look into it if it works good for you. I love my husquvarna push mower and my mz52 zero turn though!
Love the 580 BTS due to the harness! If the redmax had the harness I'd def buy them as our main dealer sells only redmax. Nice vid! We plowed three events this past week, so I suppose cleanup work has been delayed yet again. We will be lucky to get rolling by May 1...
Brian i have a portable jumper pack it looks like those portable phone chargers and only cost me like $30 on amazon and it can start up to a diesel truck! but i keep jumper cables in my trunk just in case i forget it.
Matco tools make a jump box that will fit in your trucks glove box works for charging you phone too you can plug in in the lighter port no need to hook to batteries no mess no fuss
😅 no-start issues because of one of the 67 safety contacts aren't in place....always fun. started up my old exmark 48 yesterday for the first cut of the season ( after realizing the spark plug was shot ), and if the snow ( and rain ) misses us tomorrow, i may head out and hit some more of round 1. otherwise, next week will be the official first week of mowing for me ( not to mention a few remaining cleanups, etc ).
Hey Brian check out Micro start XP-10... I keep one in every vehicle and permanent leads on the batteries make it all plug n play! Using 5+ yrs. already and no complaints ......Be well, Sonny
Umm, 86 or donate those jumper cables. Get cables that remain flexible at low temperatures . .. heavier gauge. Store them under back seat of truck. 1. Always connect to positive of donor 1st, then connect to dead vehicle positive terminal. 2. Then, connect negative cable to donor ‘neg’ terminal, then to dead vehicle [Not terminal] meaning ground to engine. When disconnecting, remove ‘neg’ 1st from dead vehicle ground, then from donor vehicle terminal. Then, remove ‘pos’ of dead vehicle terminal & last remove positive from donor vehicle terminal. You Sir, are a “workaholic” I enjoy your videos & enthusiasm 👍👍
I have a jumper box I keep with me from harbor freight cost around $40. I pull all the batteries out of the mower and put them on a trickle charge over the winter. Love echo, have 1 that is close to 10yrs old. Have stihl to but they are harder starting.have Scag and exmark both great mowers. My Scag had 5,000 hours on it before engine went. Scag has better tech support.
No doubt I used my buddys 700 today and then my 8500 the 8500/580 takes it,, all around better,, could have been his valves but he said they were just fixed/replaced
This is one case where one of the little Lithium jump packs would have been nice. No disconnecting the truck, light weight, carry into the trailer and POWER! UNLIMITED POWER! BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry, had a little Palpatine moment there. Anyway, handy little item to have.
when you have a dead battery, the best thing to do is leave it over night on a battery charger if you can (i know thats not always possible) reason being is that an alternator or stator in some of the smaller stuff isnt designed to fully charge a dead battery and if you do it one too many times it can cause early failure of those components. but hey shit happens you cant always wait overnight!
Another great vid bro. Your next big investment needs to be a nice piece of property in the sticks so you can build you a house and pole barn for your stuff, get a few German Shepherds to keep it and the wifey safe and secure when your gone....maybe a M4 or two.
Hey, I gotta ask you. What a good trimmer to get that has the handle bar type grips? I can't use regular type trimmers. Having horrible luck with my current Stihls....time to move on to a different brand.
You don't start anything during the winter? I make a effort to start everything once a week, doesn't happen all the time tho, but at least once a month I do.
Brian's Lawn Maintenance lol I know it's hard to do everything in the trailer. You might have me sold on that Milwaukee inflator that's cool. I have airbags on my truck and use a 12 volt one when I need air but that's nice and small. Btw no mowin here yet in CT grass still dormant light snow this am.
So any thoughts on pas 2620 and the attachment series or do u prefer getting each peace like hedge trimmer with its own engine? Keep up the great vids. Also can you do accelerator bagger review?
Nitro6003 I don’t have the accelerator bagger just ultra vac, and I run dedicated tools but stay tuned we’ll be running the 2620 PAS system this spring!
Brian's Lawn Maintenance my other question is which do you prefer the 2620 attachment series or do you prefer getting individual engines for individual uses such as a string trimmer I heads trimmer etc. or do you prefer the PAS
Be carful jumping a mower from a truck or car. You can actually burn up the ignition system and starters. Have done this on a motorcycle, mower, and Polaris sportsman.
Brian I keep battery tender on JD tractor, seems to make battery last longer. Batteries John Deere battery went out to quick, Auto Zone Fur a Max battery been good. Red Max I tried to buy blow spring, dealer couldn't get one late June, I bought a Sundaiwa, $450 trimmer home owner to much. Echo trimmer wouldn't start, think no spark, coil app. $60 wife insisted I buy new one. Have a JD combination trimmer edger, no start bought new carb $40, hope not wasted money, disappointed it's made by Homelite. I credit ethonal gas with engine problem. Use Menards premix. Or premium Marathon . Stabil oil. My Echo hand blower works ok. Brian you don't drain gas in off months ? Thanks
That air pump is my go to…love that thing
Brian, I wanted to stop by and say great job. This video was so real and genuine! I felt like I was right there with you. 👍
Thanks pal
You are my new favorite lawn care youtuber! Your funny and kid friendly (no cussing). Keep up the great work!
The LAWNdromat thanks pal! Amen to that
Can't wait to watch it, as I'm busy now. 2 to 4 inches of snow Sunday night into Monday, and I fertilized last week, and now, the grass might be 3-4 inches high. Lol. I need to do spring cleanup soon!
I like this content it demonstrates it keeps us ready so we won't have to get ready. Thanks For Sharing!!
Looks nice Brian. Just mowed 18 Wednesday , 12, Thursday, 14 Friday, and 2 before Thunderstorms today. Sorry you got snow but that is why I left Michigan in '05'. Hope it warms up soon for y'all very soon.
Yep. Handle looks correct. Same as my Husqvarna 570. Love how it feels. Great video!
Every blower I've ever used has a top side handle. It's freaking me out on the 580 haha, but I am excited to test it out.
You could invest in a jumper pack. We have a jumper pack and every once in a while and it works and has saved us several times.
jumper box FTW!!!
Brian I know I just left you a comment and I finished your video. TODD EBERLEIN thanks pal I appreciate that!
Stihl one pull start, I started everything up for spring and then we 12 inches of snow
Great to see the equipment working !! I’m still on some snow in NH
Brian's, I see a few people have recommended a jump box for you I would totally agree with that this is what I run JNC950 it's considered professional grade. Doug Bishop That’s sweet. What brand or where’d you buy yours?
Brian's Lawn Maintenance Google (JNC950) Its called jump & carry.. this box is awesome it's worked wonderful for me... Good Luck
Awesome video Brian! That Milwaukee tire tool is going to be a great add on. Very nice blowers, looking forward to their reviews.
ya the handle is made like that for ergonomic comfort that is what my dealer told me awesome video man
Just a friendly tip with putting the mowers away for the winter, pull the battery out and put it inside.
Jack Oleary Yeah I forgot for sure
Get it going Brien we're busy here in Cincinnati man I'm a crew leader for a small company and loving it
Brian I heard you give props to South Bend. Go Irish!!! Anyway it's snowing here in Indy and I just had a job today of all things. But I do want to throw you a comment on the 580BTS. TODD EBERLEIN thx pal!
I bought the Husq 570 and I have the handle all the way forward and it's better for your wrist.
👍 I run the husqvarna 570 and 560 bts...never had any problems
Here in Kansas Husqvarna is cool. Love the back pack blower. Very ergo friendly and you don't get monoxificated. Ok made that word up 🙂 but I'm sure you know what I mean. You almost feel like you're flying a Black Hawk helo!
Kevin Honn Lol Love it
Funniest lawn care vlog I've ever watched not to mention that it was informational as well.
Michael Orrico lol thanks. This is my life 😂
Brian's Lawn Maintenance living the life😂
We carry a jump pack in are now trailer all the time saved us many times also have had the arm like that once happens when trying to go at it
Great video man. Love the sound of the engines. Also love the look of everything also. Also you seem like an awesome man!
Thanks pal!
Have the same husky blower its the same engine as redmax u have the handle on right its a great blower very power full
husqvarna makes redmax, I run a Redmax and I love it. been running 3 years strong.
Legend says that particular HUSKY is the best of all the high end blowers! I have the br700 so I don't really know for sure.
Glad I'm not the only one who has luck like that
the pick up truck is a beast
You'll love that 580. Way more comfortable than the br700. Also has a bit more power it seems.
Just found your channel! ....Cool!... I have the Hus 580 for years and I love it! I tried the Redmax, like some others have posted Hus. makes Redmax but you will notice the comfort difference in fall clean up with customers with large yards and a lot of leaves.
Welcome to the jungle! Thanks for watching!
Keep a jump box or 2 at all times, they also fill tires, have a small invertor & phone chargers, handy as hell. Costco usually has good ones
sick video Brian!!!
The handle on the 580 is right they are like that. Brian, we're up in central part of the state. Run exmark also. Love how fast the bagger goes on and off. You have a nice looking set up. 🖒
North Country Lawn Care thanks pal!
Did a spring clean up thursday. Couldnt finish. Get up to go finish it at 8am and there is a layer of snow
Yeah that's how it was around here too.
lol... just had a similar arm fail. A customer and 2 of his neighbors were watching me mow last Saturday. Ya just know he was Like "check out my guy, he's awesome!". I dont have any husquvarna 2 cycle power tools. I run stihl might have to look into it if it works good for you. I love my husquvarna push mower and my mz52 zero turn though!
You did install the housqua handle right I like it better because you can do everything with one arm have a arm free
Love the 580 BTS due to the harness! If the redmax had the harness I'd def buy them as our main dealer sells only redmax. Nice vid! We plowed three events this past week, so I suppose cleanup work has been delayed yet again. We will be lucky to get rolling by May 1...

I'll check that out, good looking out.
I have that one its badass. Works great I take it everywhere with me
Lol I noticed that before you grabbed the cables man. I’m always rusty in the beginning of each season too
Start it up!
👍
I'm in my first year getting going still! Haven't been able to up grade my equipment yet!
😅 no-start issues because of one of the 67 safety contacts aren't in place....always fun.

kodiak wild nice man. 👍
Awesome brother keep up the awesome work
Hi you can leave your jump wires by the side of the battery
Hey Brian check out Micro start XP-10... I keep one in every vehicle and permanent leads on the batteries make it all plug n play! Using 5+ yrs. already and no complaints ......Be well, Sonny
Thx pal!
Just picked up some more red armor great stuff
Still have snow in the forecast in Pittsburgh
How long until you get to start mowing. Up north in Bay City we are still about 2 or 3 weeks out.
Jared Doan About the same
Another great video! 👍🏻
Nice video Brian
You gotta take the batteries in for the winter!!!
Juptak I should’ve! Oh well now lol
There's always next year!
Thanks for the tips! Right back at ya!
YOU SHOULD KEEP A BATTERY TENDER ON YOUR BATERIES ALL WINTER
I have a jumper box I keep with me from harbor freight cost around $40. I pull all the batteries out of the mower and put them on a trickle charge over the winter. Love echo, have 1 that is close to 10yrs old. Have stihl to but they are harder starting.have Scag and exmark both great mowers. My Scag had 5,000 hours on it before engine went. I love the redmax 8500 I have the redmax 7500 and love it
Keep up the great videos!
I feel the same about the weather
Invest in a jump box makes things a lot easier
No doubt I used my buddys 700 today and then my 8500 the 8500/580 takes it,, all around better,, could have been his valves but he said they were just fixed/replaced
I’ve always been a stihl guy, but been curious about huskies
This is one case where one of the little Lithium jump packs would have been nice. No disconnecting the truck, light weight, carry into the trailer and POWER! UNLIMITED POWER! BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry, had a little Palpatine moment there. Anyway, handy little item to have.
Those engines are music to my ears!
Great personality
Down in Florida it’s always mowing season
580 is my favorite
Do you have a vid on how to sharpen blades.?
I do
Hey man I keep a jump box with me all of the time
Green touch, equipment defender, or the floor by the second lawn.
CHARLES D Precisely.
when you have a dead battery, the best thing to do is leave it over night on a battery charger if you can (i know thats not always possible) reason being is that an alternator or stator in some of the smaller stuff isnt designed to fully charge a dead battery and if you do it one too many times it can cause early failure of those components. but hey shit happens you cant always wait overnight!
patrick hallyburton good to know good looking out!
Good looking out thank you I’ll pick one up today 👊
Shop on wheels. That’s gotta be on the shopping list.
What system were you using before yard book?
Old fashioned excel and in house systems.
Another great vid bro. Your next big investment needs to be a nice piece of property in the sticks so you can build you a house and pole barn for your stuff, get a few German Shepherds to keep it and the wifey safe and secure when your gone....maybe a M4 or two.
We're on the same page 😂
Hey, I gotta ask you. What a good trimmer to get that has the handle bar type grips? I can't use regular type trimmers. Having horrible luck with my current Stihls....time to move on to a different brand.
I like my Redmax 260 and the Echo 2620. That’s all I’d buy at the moment. All I’m familiar with
Ok, thanks.
Very funny video u have a great personality
If you don't mind me asking how big is your trailer ?
8.5x16!
Thanks i'm looking for a enclosed to house my 3 wright standers and equipment . I'm also from Michigan Grand Rapids keep up the good videos
congrats brian :) i have the 580bts you will love it :)
Get your self a jump box with its self in gold. As long it always changed. Follow instructions with the jump box.
You don't start anything during the winter? I make a effort to start everything once a week, doesn't happen all the time tho, but at least once a month I do.
I did the mower once when it was a nice day, but not the hand tools. They just sit.
Do you have a solo operation?
Depends
Depends on the volume of work you do. Landscaping: PAS. Lawn Care company: dedicated tools.
Brian's Lawn Maintenance I’m a home owner lol
Brians Lawn Maintenance. We should do a video comparing your rider with my vantage.
Brandon Carpenter No comparison 😂 I love my zero turns ha!
What trimmer string do you use.
Dustin Foster ECHO Black Diamond .105
Brian's Lawn Maintenance thanks. Your opinion on it
Currently the best but you go through it
Brian's Lawn Maintenance thanks
I have to ask, your are essentially a solo operation. What do you do with 4 backpack blowers?
Definitely not a solo operation! But I think I have 6 blowers actually
Be carful jumping a mower from a truck or car. You can actually burn up the ignition system and starters. Have done this on a motorcycle, mower, and Polaris sportsman.
you were one of my main inspirations to start my business this year. did you use lawyers to get it working in the beginning?
Nope just trial and error
I tried doing a video today and it started snowing lol
Grass Daddy lol unbelievable
If you go back in the video a little bit you can see the stick controls on the mower weren’t all the way out
Exactly...rookie mistake. Too funny.
Thanks
Love the smell too! Lol
Hang the cables in the trailer on the wall
580 - Just got one too !
......but unfortunately I had to pay for it :-)
Many thanks.....all the way from London.
Thanks for the love!
Paul Wharton Ontario?
nope, 'fraid not....London, the capital city of the United Kingdom.
Paul Wharton I see
DEFINATLEY would prefer the 8500
