You’re showing the reality of a one man operation, things don’t happen quickly and even small issues feel like hurdles. The satisfaction though of seeing all the hard work come together is priceless. Nothing but respect. Looking forward to seeing those gravels run thru next video
Things I learned while watching this video with a 100% retention rate: 1) Smashing your head on sharp hard steel could "take a bit to get going again" afterwards. 2) Ratchet straps are hard. Fact. 3) Top tip on making gloves last... don't wear em! Thanks for taking us along for the ride buddy! That sluice is a real beast!
Can’t get much more unreal then an American “reality” tv show..🤦♂️😂 Can’t watch any of it,it’s ridiculous. This is,on the other hand, more documentary and very light on the the bullshit.
@@markhepworth we're super grateful to hear that seeing as one of the major goals in producing the series was to just show the process as it actually is and not for any artificial drama. One of our concerns was that people wouldn't want to watch because what actually happens is a lot of logistics and fixing broken things and planning out the approach to reduce wasted resources and efforts. So thank you so much guys really appreciate this and we'll keep working hard to showing you the entire process.
One thing I know about folks who watch real gold channels...we are fascinated by people really working through real problems...in fact, we can watch it all day!😁 And often try to..... You folks are really sticking the landing on this, keep up the awesome work!
I was getting jittery watching you move the sluice, tank and genny in and out of the truck bed. I would probably have gone through the rear window at least once by impatience on my part. By the way, great camera work by the hand following you during this. Smooth and thoughtfull motions and good editing! Can't wait for more!
A long time ago, I coined a phrase: Murphy drives the bus, we're just the passengers. ( For anyone who doesn't know Murphy, he's the legendary creator of Murphy's Law). The trick to making it all happen is hard work, creating solutions and perseverance. It seems like you epitomize those values. BTW, Murphy can be a real SOB. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Hi Andy, i love to see this youtube episode. i see now the real worldview of goldmining. i think you have now a good editingcrew to this channel. well done you all.
Always inspirational Andy. I got my 27D track hoe, F350, and a gold trommel system. just trying to get a claim That i can get started with. Thank you for your experiences, they save all of us time and money.
Thanks for noticing! :P I loved your effects where you stop-framed yourself kicking the excavator across the screen in your video. Very fun and entertaining. You are killing it brother can't wait for your next video. Ps. If you ever have questions about editing or want to exchange editing stuff just hit me up and we can chat.
I wind up my straps like you do and in addition I leave the plain tail longer so that with it I can tie a simple overhand knot around the rolled strap to keep it all together until I'm going to use it.
Hi Andy, Many thanks for these insights about all these little issues that have to be managed beside the digging and washing. I like the adjustable legs on your sluice. All the best from Germany!
An old pro told me years back that there is a big difference between thinking "How can I" and "How will I?", you've got it right Andy, good luck with that first wash, lets see some nuggets
I LOVE that you show life as it really is for all of us. So relatable! Dang dude I can’t wait to see how successful your first day is! Congrats brother!
Good morning Andy. Hope things are going smoothly for you this morning. Looking forward to seeing your progress on the next video. Have a great day Brother and keep those gloves handy.
Awsome Love it All! I'm the same way! some call me a hoarder lol but when I use things I've saved for some reason it is so rewarding! Keep up the great work 👍
A good look at behind the scenes places things in perspective, Well done mate, you didn't give up and that's the main thing, keep up the hard work Andy, the reward is just around the corner and I am looking forward to seeing that. I will say this, it looks like you need an intern 😉
Is this the first time back up at the mine in 2023? Wish you had dates pop up so we could keep track. It seems like I've seen some videos out of order and I'm getting turned around. This has been so long coming. I am very excited for you Andy. It took lots of hard work for you to get this far. I can hardly wait to see the system in full operation. So glad you got that beast excavator. It seems to do everything you ask of it. You gonna bring back the mini to deal with the tailings? I hope old man winter is done for the year. We are just digging out of 3 feet of snow. So happy to see you have a camera person just in case something happens. When you are working alone in the woods, help is a long way away if you can't walk or drive out by yourself. Stay safe and have fun.
Can't wait to see that beautiful machine chew some dirt!! Loved the tailgate adjustment tool!!! Your a one man army, great work on getting the trommel set up ,in the cold and in the dark!! Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦💪⛏️👍
I think most people like you and the adventure, where the sluicing albeit exciting just a part of the longer journey. So in time no doubt. I mean hell it is going to get really boring when you are finding multiple fist sized nuggets daily -right :) Be really cool getting Freddy Dodge on the channel and give a once over to everything.
Your pre meditative thoughts on every detail will definitely contribute a lot to your successes Andy, your work ethic is in a league of its own, setting the standard in such a perfect way , best gold series out there I truly look forward to each episode !!
We are hoping for the best results Andy on your first run. It's going to be hard on the rest of us waiting for your video of you processing the paydirt from the first clean out.
Andy, love your channel! I have so much admiration for you, just seizing your dreams and making it happen. Where I live there were hundreds of gold mines before the Civil War and I'd love to find one and do what you're doing.
Nope same one I use. I rendered this out in max bit-rate which I usually don't do as the file sizes get pretty big. For example, this video is 32 GB when usually the file sizes of a compressed bit rate are anywhere around 3 GB-6 GB. So it's quite a bit more than usual. But super happy with the fact that RUclips didn't over-compress it.
Your plant is so freaking sexy. You had to have had a bet with someone about putting that sluice box thru the back window of your truck.😂😂 I have to admire your hard work on the mine and your editing work on these videos- Your camera person/ editing team are amazing. Your explanation as you go is presented in a way that makes it very easy to understand.
I'd love to have you mention what month it is, just to understand the weather in your location? It helps those of us who watch old episodes too! Great show man!
Andy...you hit a TON of nerves in me today. @11:00 or so...oh hell yes. Suggestion for your bucket lifting issue....either get a good big clevis to use in the loop you have, or go for the good old fashioned 'chain over the teeth' maybe...? 🤣 Im sure you are way better at this than I am, but its fun to feel like we can make suggestions and 'help'. 🤔🤔🤔😁 Loving your journey and looking forward to every video!
Looking forward to seeing that first run! A 12 volt fuel pump might be a good upgrade for your auxiliary tank, could eliminate messing with the generator for refueling. Just an idea, carry on!
And I thought Murphy's law only applied to me. I feel your pain. Have used the rope trick to swing things in my excavator as well. Everything is possible and the impossible just takes a bit longer.
Just a dream job for me, are at cutting waiting for welding but cant weld without a welder....well theoretical two 12V Batts, but yeah my silent dream ;) put some buckets in for me !
