Best band that has ever lived
This show was FUCKING AMAZING!!!!! I was 28 at this show. 53 now. Good times at The Maritime Hall. Seen some amazing shows there.
Enjoying this while I can... Love being able to see them live from old shows. I have been to a few shows and I am never disappointed.
Super concert ! En plus, c'était à l'époque où le groupe repartait de zéro après une longue absence. Patricia Morison (aujourd'hui l'épouse de Dave Vanian) était à la basse et à la batterie se trouvait Gary Dreadful qui, avec Monty Oxymoron, le clavier du groupe avait accompagnés Captain Sensible sous le nom des Punk Floyd.

According to my ticket stub for this show it was on Saturday, February 28, at the Longshoreman's Hall on Harrison St. @ 1st St. Thanks for posting this trip down memory lane; it was a great show.

Fantastic show! Didn't Dave chat a lot in the 90s, and even took his glasses off. Great to see them this into it.
I swear Captain Sensible was always the gobshite in the band. In Cap's case, that sort of gobshite-ing is ok.
Damned Disciple for Ever - San Fran you were graced with one of our best.

THAT is a setlist. They were at their peak playing live here. It could have used Paul Gray though. Bands always go off when they play in San Francisco.

Saw them when they were playing in Montreal in 1998. I remember finding Vanian in great vocal shape, yet he was a bit too generous on Elvis-style "yyyeeeeeaaaa" and "wo-ooh-wo". ;) Patricia was this monolithic gothic queen pretty solid on bass. Oxymoron was... well crazy-lookin and playing like a madman. And Captain was goofy as hell. He ended up the show in the audience, completely naked. Great memories.
Gosh I missed THAT!! But I saw them the three subsequent times they came in Mtl, were you there last may? It was absolutely FANTASTIC!!!

Great gig ! shame the video quality is shit. 2nd best live band I've ever seen. The best is THE ALARM. ..Check them out.
The video technology wasn't that great in '98. People have been spoiled with the momentous advances in modern filming technology in the last twenty five or so years. Nothing is more important to people these days than networking socially, with their cell phones. This way you don't have to get emotionally involved any other humans.
