I've only seen Quan yin once. As a child I was saddened that almost everyone forgot my birthday so in a dream she gave a flower that smelled very nice.

Thank you guys for responding. I didn’t get notifications at all. I’d love to see Quan yin again or another loving Goddess in a dream. I’ve seen Goddess Kali in a dream while falling asleep during her mantra but ppl say Kali is bloodthirsty.

I believe so. Guan Yin/Avalokitesvara, in her Lotus Sutra, said she had come to aid pleas and cries transcending cultures and beliefs. She would appear in the form that comforts the seeker... possibly the vision of Fatima or Virgin Mary, I believe is the same. She also said form is empty, which I interpret that the true nature of spirituality is not bound by concepts created by culture and religions, although one has to start from somewhere... concepts/forms/iconography in religions are just means to achieve the higher state of realization. Here is a great story. I went to the beach and we were having a small bonfire when I decided to walk to the ocean. It was a full moon and I looked at the seafoam in the waves. Suddenly, a wave washed up a statue of Quan Kin at my feet! It was super tall like a Foot and a Half and she sat on a perfect Lotus! The friends I had were scared so I had to protect her by yelling at them because one of these friends wanted to break her! I immediately took her home and made a Shrine for her! I had the Statue for many years. I always buy jewelry now to honor her. She loved necklaces around her neck. I love her.*Her statue must of fell off a boat during Imports or Exports. How lucky is that?

In China she has many names and is also known as "great mercy, great pity; salvation from misery, salvation from woe; self-existent; thousand arms and thousand eyes," etc. In addition she is often referred to as the Goddess of the Southern Sea - or Indian Archipelago - and has been compared to the Virgin Mary. She is one of the San Ta Shih, or the Three Great Beings, renowned for their power over the animal kingdom or the forces of nature. These three Bodhisattvas or P’u Sa as they are know in China, are namely Manjusri (Skt.) or Wên Shu, Samantabhadra or P’u Hsien, and Avalokitesvara or Quan Yin.

The name Guan Yin also spelt Guan Yim, Kuan Yim, Kwan Im, or Kuan Yin, is a short form for Kuan-shi Yin, meaning "Observing the Sounds (or Cries) of the (human) World".
Highly respected in Asian cultures, Guan Yim bears different names as follows:
Hong Kong: Kwun Yum
Japan: Kannon or more formally Kanzeon; the spelling Kwannon, based on a pre-modern pronunciation, is sometimes seen
Korea: Gwan-eum or Gwanse-eum

• Ada kelahiran pasti ada kematian...
Sedangkan Nibbana adalah padam dari kelahiran dan kematian...
• Nibbana bisa dicapai dan direalisasi selagi masih hidup...
Sedangkan Surga bisa dicapai setelah kematian...
• Nibbana bukanlah suatu ketiadaan maupun tanpa ketiadaan...
• Nibbana juga bukan suatu kekosongan maupun ketidak kekosongan...
• Nibbana bukan juga kehampaan ...
• Nibbana adalah Anatta...(Tanpa inti,tanpa aku,tanpa jiwa dan roh).
• Nibbana telah membebaskan diri dari keakuan dan kemelekatan akan ini milikku dan ini milikmu...
• Nibbana telah menghancurkan 1500 jenis killesa (kekotoran bathin) sampai keakar akarnya tanpa sisa secuilpun...
• Tiada lagi kelahiran ulang bagi mereka yg telah merealisasikannya (Nibbana)...
• Nibbana bukanlah diatas,dibawah,ditengah,disamping,dibarat ,maupun ditimur dan juga bukanlah sebaleknya..
• Nibbana itu tidak ada yg menciptakannya alias tidak tercipta juga tidak tidak terbentuk apalagi berubah-ubah..
• Selengkapnya pemahaman Nibbana hanya bisa dipahami jika kita sudah memahami Sutram Pitaka,Vinaya Pitaka dan Abhidhamma Pitaka secara jelas, baik dan benar...
• Dan pastinya Nibbana hanya mereka yg sudah mencapai dan merealisasikannya baru bisa mengetahui secara pasti Nibbana itu seperti apa..

There is a lady at my job from China who is assigned to my care. She is so sick she can barely speak, so she cannot communicate well. I printed a picture of Quan Yin and left it by her bedside. She smiled and said "mother" and nodded her head. I'm not Chinese, so I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to give spiritual comfort to this lady in her time of need. Suggestions are welcome.

My friend's mother was saved from drowning in a lily pond. Literally Kwan Yin Buddha lifted her out from the deep pond. That happened in China.

It is immoral to be thrilled by the works of artist displaying creative imagination of lost mind seeking rest. The lady in picture (called mother) is portrayed with the dragon, the deceiver that destroys the world.
The music in the background is that of meditation as commented by Ju-On-Hanako Hoang. Meditation is the process where the lost souls seek rest aggressively out of the way God granted for the sincere seekers, wishing to invade and pollute heaven by their sinful desires of possessing it.
Is not the host of Lucifer (the red dragon) cast out of heaven for being insubordinate and noisome against the holy host there? Why should he (the dragon) be regarded by human, created in God's image on earth?
