I understand that some people have issues with TT because Carplay and Android Auto treat it like a mouse pad, but if you stick with the Built in Apps, this is so much better than a touch screen. I have no issues with Android Auto using as a mouse since I mostly interface with computers anyway. Acura, if you could work with Apple and Google to try and get the TT interface properly supported, then you will have a seamless interface that the masses will enjoy over a smudgy touch screen.
It's rather easy to use. A small learning curve which is basically going from never using it to using for the first few times..lol It's good to keep your hands in one spot and not have to reach for a screen. Of course we all have different user levels of technology and some don't adapt to change as well as others. Unfortunately you're not going to make everybody happy and I think overall most are satisfied with this system for this generation. Of course there will be future updates and changes if some don't care for this one.
I'm going to need for Acura to make this a touch screen already. This is very dated technology and not something drivers want to adjust to. At least allow for both....but the touch pad alone seems EXTREMELY frustrating and anything but intuitive.
The screen is too far away from the driver to effectively be a touch screen, and Acura can't move it because of the climate controls and the dynamics selector.
HA, they recently got rid of this for 2025 in exchange for a touchscreen. The people have spoken either verbally or financially and said we don't want this. I can't wait to grab a 2025 MDX in 5 years from now lol.
Both my wife and I hate the TTI. The RDX was high up on our shopping list until we recently test drove it. We still like the car but could not stand the annoying infotainment system, including the obnoxious noises it makes. Since we don't care for the built-in infotainment system, we immediately connected one of our iPhones and could not believe how horrible the user experience was. The TTI makes it almost impossible to use the Apple CarPlay effectively; secondly, we could not extend the CarPlay to full screen; instead, it only occupied about 3/4 of the entire screen, making it tiny like in some economy car. If RDX had a touch screen along with TTI, we would be OK with that and would consider it as our next car, because as the car itself, it fits us perfectly, but because of the TTI and lack of touch screen, the RDX is no longer a consideration, unfortunatelly.

I find the True Touchpad very user friendly although we haven’t tried Apple CarPlay yet.

What a waste. My wife skipped auccura for a Lexus because of this TouchPad.
