For the last 2 days ive been fishing the on the other side there with a kayak and i have been catching big perch, kob and kingfish on the incoming tide with bad shad slim swim

When they bite like you were getting, slow down your reeling speed with 3 to 4 second breaks in-between. You are not giving the fish chance to commit. Secondly do you sharpen your hooks? Just asking as your bite to strike ratio is quite high. Nice action in the water though. Enjoy!
