Hi Aviva, I'd like to post PDF articles in my portfolio. I'm having trouble doing that. Can I just post a 5-6 page article as a post? And then link the front page on the "work samples"? It seems like everything I'm seeing is single images accompanied by text.
Love the presentation Aviva. I'm trying to build a t-shirt print site and was wondering is there any other helpful tips you could provide since this deals more in ecommerce? Any help or thoughts would be most appreciated.
Sloane, when I deleted my wordpress menu and used the elementor pro 3.1.6 it is going vertically, and making a huge container for each item. I have tried everything to change this and I just cannot get it to slide in the way it did for you. Can anyone help me???? I am going crazy
Thank you Aviva for yet another great presentation :)
I chose to go for the same Kit as used in the presentation, and there is a sliding banner included in the kit, that that I would like to have removed but it doesn't show when I'm in editing mode, only when the site is published.
Any tip on how to remove it will be much appreciated :)
Hi @thebrazensorceress, thanks for your comments and question. I think you are referring to the Popup that comes with the Kit. If so, to keep it from opening, from the WordPress Admin, go to: Templates > Popups. You should see "Contact Popup." Click Edit with Elementor. Then click the dropdown Save options (the ⌄ next to the Publish button) > Display Conditions. Click the X to remove the condition and click Save and Close. That should hide it from your site. Alternatively, you could delete the Popup all together, but this way you can save it in case you ever want to use it in the future.
Please let me know how it goes.

Thank you so much for a fast and helpful reply🙏😃
The condition is changed, but it's a nice feature, so I'm keeping the popup for later😉
Hi Aviva, I love your presentation and the way you teach. I have Elementor Pro. When I wanted to create my own menu on my website, when I removed the menu to create my own, there was no Menu widget to create and modify the items. There was just Wordpress Menu. Why my Elementor Pro does not have this widget? Your kind response is highly appreciated.
Hi @hra5171, it makes me really happy to hear that 🤩 You might have missed the step where we activated the new Menu widget. You'll find how to do it here: ruclips.net/video/iGLN5Y_zFdc/видео.html. Please let me know how it goes.
Thanks for your kind response 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This is a great tutorial and was much needed...although I think you breezed through the container stuff too much...I guess I'll have to look elsewhere for help to get it figured out.
Hey @thepurpleufo, thanks for your comments. I know; there was a lot to cover for this course. Since we created a website from a kit, we focused more on customizing the kit, than adding new content. Please check out elementor.com/help/search/?q=flexbox+containers for more on Containers. If you have specific Container layout questions, the Global Elementor community on Facebook is a great place to connect with other web creators: facebook.com/groups/Elementors.
45:55 What I dont get, why do you show now to work in Guttenberg? Couldnt this be done in Elementor? I also get confused with the differences of pages and posts. I mean if I dont want to blog at all - I could just ignore posts right? For beginners it would be wonderful to have staging in the basic plan. This would give a lot of extra feeling "to be safe". Why this isnt implemente - I have no idea. Thank you :)
Hey @BalloonSchool thanks for your questions. We covered this briefly a few minutes later in the course, but in a nutshell, Gutenberg is a great choice for beginners, as well as people who need a more scalable blogging/posting option. It has a number of block types, as well as several styling options. However, for people who are more comfortable using Elementor, we recommend the Elementor Editor to design your posts, for basically unlimited layout and styling options. See this part for a visual explanation: ruclips.net/video/iGLN5Y_zFdc/видео.html.
Regarding your questions about a blog, you are correct. *Posts* are for blog posts, and other types of listings; basically the parts of your site that you would be adding content to or updating regularly. If you do not have a blog, you do not need to use Posts.
*Pages* are for static website pages; the parts that remain constant, and you only update occasionally, for example, your home page, about page, contact page, etc. For more on posts vs pages, please watch: ruclips.net/video/nH5no16Emqk/видео.html.
Thanks for your comments on Staging. I'll pass them along. Did you know that all plans come with automatic backups, as well as the option for manual backups? I suggest making a backup of your site before any major changes.
Hope you found this helpful.
Hey Aviva! How did you use the emoji after the Heading Title of the page? Where do you find those emojis? Because the emojis that I use change depending on device. They are not statical emojis.
Hey @andreifreitas3785, thanks for your question. I use standard emojis. You can find out more about using emojis in Elementor in this short video: ruclips.net/user/shortsDKS1ypfpqWs. That said, emojis may display differently on different platforms, devices, and browsers.
Thanks for the answer! 🙌🏻 I love Elementor's Team!

Hi Aviva! Thank you for the great tutorial! I followed the steps as in the tutorial and my portfolio was looking great on my Homepage. Then I decided to add more projects and noticed that my featured projects on my Home page where now different since I added some new. Is there a way I can display the projects on the Home page as they were before adding new projects without of course, removing the new ones?
Hi @punaljubavi8, thanks for your feedback. For the Portfolio widget where we display our work on the home page in this course, you can change the settings in the widget's *Query* tab, such as changing the display order or using the "Include by" to select specific projects. I think in your case, if you change the Order to ASC (ascending) to show your older projects first, it will achieve what you are looking for. Please let me know if that helps.
Thank you@@avivaelementor Of course you helped! :) Is there by any chance I can choose them as I want? I saw that I can order them by: Date, Title, Menu Order, Last Modified, Comment Count, Random. When I choose Title I thought I can pick each project out by their title but it looks like I am only able to order them by ascending and descending.
@@punaljubavi8 You can Include by Term and then select specific Categories or Tags (but not specific projects, it seems). Alternatively, you can Exclude by Manual selection, and then choose the projects you don't want to include.
@@avivaelementor thank you so much for all the help. I have a one more thing I want to ask you. So I used this theme and made a web site but I would love to have a blog. I managed to create a new page - named it Blog, but I now have some issues. On the Blog page I inserted a inserted a post widget and all of my projects appeared so I excluded them manually. So when I went to create a post for my blog, the post appeared in my portfolio as a project. Is there a possibility that I can in my WP dashboard under Posts somehow adjust this or will I always have to exclude the blog posts manually from going to my portfolio projects? Sorry for complicating but I am trying to customize this kit as much as possible. Thank you in advance.
Hey, great videos, for the people who already have an elementor pro, is the price the same?
@ayoubaj557, thanks! You can follow along with Elementor Pro. You'll have all the same options, aside from the Hosting settings. We also have a playlist for this course that's been modified for Elementor Pro, if you prefer. You can watch it here: ruclips.net/p/PLZyp9H25CboFLsiad-zQOs-o-pGiv0a54
The problem im faced with is i need access to WordPess plugins but you need to pay upfront in order to access plugins so i cant even really get started with my site! im wanting to build a video chatroom but have no idea how to do it!

@user-uf2pj8su3m, have you updated to the latest versions of Elementor (currently *Elementor 3.16.4* and *Elementor Pro 3.16.2* OR for *Elementor Hosting 3.17.0-cloud6* )? If so and you are still having this issue, please contact support from my.elementor.com, and let me know how it goes.

Is that a pro elementor or just free version?
@boumalikazegza2158 we created this video specifically for Elementor Hosting, which includes Elementor Pro. However, there are still many aspects you can apply to the free version of Elementor. If you are looking for a course using the free version of Elementor, you can find it here: ruclips.net/p/PLZyp9H25CboE6dhe7MnUxUdp4zU7OsNSe&si=QjpGfm5hyUoNe2y8
I've spent a few hours trying to follow various intro courses and to a novice they are very confusing. This is pretty good, but even so I've run into numerous problems. For a start I didn't have some of the buttons and options being demonstrated. After a fair bit of digging it would appear that this is because I'm not operating with Elementor Pro. It would have saved so much time if the video had explained which things can be done with the basic version and which items require payment for the Pro upgrade. For those of us just starting out it's helpful to be able to play around with free items first. I've downloaded half a dozen templates to see how things can be structured differently - but only lately realised I've no control over headers/footers without Pro. Arghhh....
@georgecarter9051 thanks for your feedback, and I'm sorry to hear about your frustrations. We made sure to include "Elementor Hosting" in the title of the course, and early in the course's introduction, we explained that the course uses Elementor Hosting with Elementor Pro. Can you please share what else you feel we could have done to make it clearer?
We do have a course that teaches how to build a website with the free version of Elementor. If you follow the videos and use the Elementor Hello theme, you can also add a Header and Footer to your site using the free version. You can watch it here: ruclips.net/p/PLZyp9H25CboE6dhe7MnUxUdp4zU7OsNSe. It is a few years old, so some of the interface has changed, but the main concepts and options remain the same.
Thanks for the reply - much appreciated. I’m slowly getting there. The amount of information is daunting at first, and there’s so much jargon to learn. The old adage - you don’t know what you don’t know - is very true.
I’m sure the tools are way more powerful than I can use. Will keep following the video guides. They are helpful. I guess you can’t make it too simple for people so early in their journey as me!
@avivaelementor Like, it could mention - clearly- that the Kits are Free and included ONLY WHEN the Elementor hosting is used. Very easy to miss that subtlety whilst grappling with the task of becoming familiar with Elementor :) I wasted 30 minutes looking thru them all, only to learn I could not access them without Pro, or the specific hosting being used :(
You can also acquire elementor pro without the hosting, which I have done. I really don’t think without pro, anyone gets very far.
I paid for elementor pro lifetime and now it's saying it's expired. What is going on? this feels like a scam.
Hi @HighTeaWithTheQueen, where did you purchase this license? Elementor does not and has never offered a lifetime license. If you purchased your license from elementor.com, please be in touch with support to help with this issue.
thru a seller on etsy?
Could you make a video about Elementor Hosting?
Hi @Michellewp, we have several videos about Elementor Hosting and are in the process of creating more. You can see the playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PLZyp9H25CboEEssiXtnOk6ug__hU8V68O. Is there something specific you are looking for?
Difficult to follow tutorials that are all over the place.
I find you very confusing you keep jumping ahead without showing how you get there.
Hi @user-pm3od4ky7u, is there something specific we can help you with?
This guide is useless unless you use the exact same template as the one in the video.
None of the talked about edit options are available in almost any other elementor template.
@poketotes8311 can you please elaborate on which edit options you are referring to?
It was good page builder at start
Now it's the worst, just disgust
Can you explain what bugs you the most in a positive way? Maybe it can help elementor develop further on that, because I heard they listen a lot to their customers. Maybe we as users can all help each other out too 😊 have a nice day !
