Wow. I had never heard this song before and stumbled across it tonight. This past year has been blow after blow and I started to doubt my faith. My sisters recent miscarriage felt like the final straw and I prayed a desperate prayer for a sign that God was there. Since then I have returned to church after not going for months and I know that He is with me. God works in mysterious ways we don't understand but I WILL RISE AGAIN. With His help. Amen to that!

This song got to me. I was once following Christ and then things turned for the worst. Slowly, circumstances and my foolish choices have left me crippled beyond repair. I was originally saved back in the spring of 2013 from a life of misery and pain. Ever since my salvation, it's been a roller coaster ride throughout the years. In February of 2016 I turned my life to Jesus more than I ever have. I faced some of the biggest emotional battles with the Devil I've ever faced in my life. God was there in the midst pulling me through. In March, He had college planned for me at Central Christian College. I did the tour in April and had everything ready to go to attend classes in August of 2016. The amount of joy I had for the direction God was moving me in was beyond what words can say. I then lost my motivation and pursuit of it all and turned to my own way after major issues from someone who I thought to be friend that was attending the college I was enrolling in. Fast forward to September of 2016, I had foolishly sold my reliable car and bought a Cadillac from a close friend of mine after it caught my eye like a diamond. She allowed me to buy it with payments. The payments become a financial nightmare when plans got ruined. I then foolishly walked out on my stable job I had for years to take on two unstable part time jobs which I lost within two months. I then was without work for nearly three months with no income and my sister was helping me pay for my bills. I then became so crippled, that I had gave up on everything all together. I watched the waves crash over me as everything fell apart around while throwing my cares out the window. Throughout all of this, God was still there trying to bring me back to Him but my heart had already become like stone and His words were faded to me. I notice all I could feel was anger, hate and sadness everyday with no sense of hope. By Late November of 2016, I got a temp job at JCPenny and was laid off at the end of December. I then remained unemployed for the next five months. I got a job at Collins Bus building buses and walked out on that job after a few months to try and get my old job back, but it failed and I took another job similar to it. Now fast forward to now, I finally got that mistake of a car paid off and am working a stable full time job. Now here I am at 2:44am in the morning looking for more reliable fuel efficient cars to trade for online at local dealerships when I stumbled upon this song that made me stop everything I was doing. Looking back now, I can see the MASSIVE amount of time I've wasted over the last year and some months and can see how much it has pushed me back and destroyed what God had for me. I am still distant from God and my focus is still on the wrong things, but I feel Him calling out to me right now and am in need of prayer and strength to leave my foolish ways behind to rise again.
Jason Gray 's music is the knot at the end of my rope on days that my grip is slipping, and despair threatens to overwhelm. He will never know the extent he has sustained me through unspeakable grief , and with his songs, rekindled my faith enough I could pray. I Will Rise Again and Sparrows.... what a gift!

I remember that Jason Gray, Josh Wilson, and JJ Heller came to my town and sang some of these songs. I could feel the presence when everybody sang with them as well. It was an amazing time that I will never forget in my life. This song also connected to me when I was listening like I needed this song to be sang to me in person. I pray that I can follow my life in God's path and that I may rise again from all the sin I do in my life.
Exactly what I needed to hear. 😓 I pride myself in being stone hearted and fearless but the tribulations of this world (such as the Nice, France attack recently) have finally broken me lately and I've had doubts about God's existence and my safety and then I get so upset with myself for challenging him like that. That's when the real doubts set in. I've remained steadfast though... for now. I was just about to look up a sermon on these very issues, not sure if it would make any difference but then I saw this.... It's the little things that show me my God is with me. 🙏

SASD GHOST hey I went through almost that same thing, I got in my mind I was un breakable, I know this was written 8 months ago, but be real with yourself, I convinced myself nothing could harm me than one day I realized I was not as strong as I pretended to be and it all came crashing down on me at once causing depression for months. God is the only one who can handle EVERYTHING we can't, so believe God to help u, he won't stop trials from coming in our life all the time, but he will help us through them, and turn the things for worse in our lives into good in the end.

Nothing but God here. I’ve been out of ICU for about 5 weeks now due to Covid and pneumonia. I tested positive on Wednesday August 11. Those two led to an eventual episode of 7 seizures (status epilepticus- it’ll be easier to just Google that as it’s too long for me to explain here)that following Sunday. Those seizures is what got me hospitalized. They realized I had Covid and pneumonia and immediately admitted me to the ICU. I was there for 3 days out of a 6-day hospital stay. I was placed on a ventilator and, due to my anxiety and confusion as to what was going on, I kept pulling all the wires out- IV and catheter specifically. My oxygen got down to 72 quite frequently, especially in the middle of the seizures. I’ve had seizures my entire life since i was a year old so we are used to the hospital stays. This happened to be the one of the two worst due to Covid and pneumonia, however. The other time was the two weeks immediately following birth that I was in the NICU. Christ also saved me from a self-harm addiction on October 20, 2018, and I can explain that event in another comment considering the events of the day that took place. I was genuinely addicted to the graphic sight of cutting, etc. Won’t get too graphic right here right now. I’m also a 4-time suicide survivor and have lost 5 friends to suicide, 1 to murder, 3 to car wrecks, and 1 to heart problems. All between 17 and 21 Also due to my seizures, per the doctors, I was not to live past age 10. Even if I was, I was to be physically and mentally handicapped- being 100% dependent on others, not able to feed myself, walk, talk, etc.-because of my disability. God had other plans. My faith has dwindled and as the song says had been to the point of being “all but gone” because of things that had at the time crippled me but God has such perfect timing in my own life. Just as I had put the blades to my neck or the gun to my head, he came in and rescued me. I’ll take a moment to receive my “bragging rights” which is only because of God. I’m now 23 and therefore 13 years past my deadline according to my doctors. Out of 115 colleges around the nation that I applied to during my senior year 2017, I was accepted to 113 of them and, though I unfortunately didn’t get to keep all the scholarship money, I was awarded $1,986,000 from those colleges combined. Just a quick tangent, the reason for so many applications is my high school always did a scholarship competition for seniors to motivate and encourage us to go to college. So I took advantage of that and earned my reputation and left the legacy of the “Million Dollar Man.” That’s what each former classmate acknowledges me as now. Sadly, some of them have actually forgotten my actual name and only remember that nickname. But holy moly, these lyrics gave me flashbacks to those incidents. You truly have to be blind in order to not see God in my life. In my darkest times, God has always been there. Actually I must say, as close to death as I was just a few weeks ago, my faith is stronger than ever. So just as the song says, “I will rise again… I will rise again… I believe, I believe that I have to break so love can make me whole.” Thank you, Jesus! 😭🥲❤️

Someone who changed my life I was baptized in the holy water I was separated from my mom I was waiting it was and every night I'll go into a corner and I will cry cuz I miss my mom so much and God answer my prayers blessed me I'm being reunited with my family and I was in tears when I was reunited with my blood family and I've been in foster care ever since I was 8 months old and I'm 21 now that was 15 years ago and one day when I was at church and I asked god to change my life he was just like you need to do me a favor and before I change your life is to get baptized in the holy water cuz I grew up with anger issues cuz I can no longer have contact or visitation with my siblings or my blood family and my mom when I was five so he changed my life and I've been blessed with the gift
