- Profiles host Mickey Burns interviews Singer and Songwriter Danny Wood in this 10 minute episode teaser. A member of the 1980's boy band "New Kids on The Block", arguably the most successful boy band of all time.
After "New Kids on The Block" disbanded in 1994, Wood decided to pursue a solo career. He released his first solo album on July 22, 2003. It was called "Second Face".
In 2008 he re-joined "New Kids on The Block" for a whirlwind reunion tour. The band continues to play to sold out arena's worldwide.

Wow, Danny was 34 years old in this interview! He has a good voice and he sings well, I think he deserves a better place in NKOTB.

New Kids on the Block _the_ best of all time. They MADE the 80's decade and even brought forth a new style genre for the 90's. Artists followed along.
New Kids paved the way. They _were_ polished back then and even more now!!
They were respectful back then and even now and respectful and they are still pretty much clean artists.

I loved those film things. We felt like we had the New Kids at the palm of our hands Lol.
Now, on live streams and Danny calling people, it literally feels like we actually know him as a person. I would like that to be true.

Wow I never knew about his momma and the scholarship.
I heard about her passing about a few years ago, he did a song in dedication to her and I also believe he has a Charity in her name

This guy messed up a little bit with his stats. New Kids had like 20, maybe more #1 hits! I
think he meant to say 1988 and 1994. @7:14-7:20 Between those years, they sold the most in the first 2yrs.at least in the U.S.
At one point in time they were even bigger than Michael Jackson! I remember when Maurice Starr said that during on T.V. in the late 80's or early 90's.
80 million records is more accurate and in '91 AMA awards, they won awards beating Micheal Jackson and Madonna!!!
