"This compost bin has been helping me to keep things that take long to decompose aside. I was finding it a little difficult to find hard things like bare corncobs, coconut shells, chickoo seeds, mango seeds, walnut shell, etc. All these things take a lot of time to decompose as compared to other vegetable and fruit peels.
Thus I started this one in April last week and kept adding kitchen wet waste sometimes. (Saw the ready compost?) These hard things work as dry materials absorbing excess moisture. Used dry leaves to cover it.
Loving the way things are softening slowly and I am able to see them all 😍
You can try this too you if you find too many hard things in your composting.
P.S: I use the brown coconut shell pieces at the bottom of plant pots to cover holes. Put a lot of mango seed covers directly on plant soil as mulch. Nariyal paani k cover ko bahut waqt lag jayega. So choose your solutions as per your needs."
