India was the richest country before British rule.... They just squeezed everything out of India that ever was. And the British countries you see today are all made from India's money...that's so sad to hear as our country is thought to be poor when we were not. But still we managed to be the fastest growing economy and I think no country would be able to come in 75 years where we are now

I'm suprised some people don't know yoga is an Indian thing, it's literally a word from India and was a spiritual practice for _ages._ I guess it's because a large number of white people in the West do yoga, change it, teach it and profit from it, that its link to India isn't as obvious now. But I wonder where people think the word or practice came from? It's like how some people don't knoe Buddhism comes from India; they think it's East Asian or something because of it's relative prevalence there now, in comparison to India (Hinduism "took over" as the most practiced/known religion of the area centuries ago)

Indian currency...right now its mahatma gandhi from about more than 70years now..before that the coins were used and all they were of rulers designs ..before these coin system...there was exchange of rice,wheat,and more....like i said about hampi last time...in ancient times india was rich country ..full of diamonds and real pearls..at those times people with golden were also called as poorest people existed...untill you dont have pearls and diamonds in home...the story i know about hampi is...there is one place like market ...there they would sell pearls and dimonds like candies on the street ..they would exchange things like rice or wheat and more for that...like india is this!!the world would never have any metals if indians didn't dig them...back them...india map is not what you see now...its beautiful but india was larget country...
