A little background on newjeans for you... they are a throwback urban 90s genre group .. very different to literally anything else in kpop right now... they started out with 90s RnB (which was used a lot in 2nd gen so not that different initially.. but a breath of fresh air) but then moved on to RnB club variants of New Jack Swing and Miami Bass and more traditional 90s clubland Sounds of UK Garage, Baltimore Club, Jersey Club and Jungle/Drum and Bass making them very unique and awesome in kpop...

You should check out newjeans latest song 'supernatural' it as 2 parts and both need to be watched to make sense of the story..

This is a song to promote coke and it unreasonably gets a lot of flack for it despite it still being an absolute banger and straight on my newjeans playlist... people wanting to boycott coke give it hate without giving it credit for being a really good song.. and way better than the original version in my opinion.
