    Absolutely love this! Already installed most of them, thanks a lot!
    I'm glad the title of the video is something that a regular user might search for instead of the actual hacs component name that a regular user doesn't know :) (Mushroom cards for example)

    Another Great video. I always like the HACS videos as there are so many things in HACS and sorting through them takes more time than I usually have. I think the cards here are extremely great and will be using them. By the way I have got several laughs from people when I wear your T-Shirt. :)

      Glad you liked it - it really takes a long time to go through all of it. I think I have another 20 or so that I've found, But browsing through the list - it's sooo long...
      😂😂 Glad you like them. Colleagues at the office got used to them by now, but still, it was funny seeing the faces - especially as I sit on same floor as board members

    Thanks for sharing these. I’ve added the hourly weather card to my dashboard, it worked great with the UK MET office integration except it kept on displaying wind speed in kmh not mph. Couldn’t work out how to fix it, even looked at the integration source code before I discovered that there were display units config items on the forecast entity and for some reason it was set to kmh. Changed and the weather display is now as I want it to be in mph.

    I wish the HA team would look more into the community projects and merge and implement some of those. now there are so many hacs repositories that have one single feature working better than default HA.

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  Год назад +2

      True, but also, that's up to contributors. They can try and make pull request for their component to be included.
      Also, it should be developed by some standards that not all components follow (for example - Power Calc - I love it and use it - creates to many entities while some things should be attributes) - and can create problems in long run.

      Strange statement. It is quite obvious the core team does look at these and development is heavily influenced by these projects. And they do integrate this input, more directly than you seem to understand: for instance they hired for the team the person who created mushroom cards, piitaya…

    • @Mrcaffinebean
      @Mrcaffinebean Год назад

      The core team is still overwhelmed with open PRs that people actually opened. I imagine it’s hard to find the time to hunt out HACS integrations that are nice to have.

    I've used a weather radar card for a while, and I like that. I used a sepcific one for Australia called BOM Radar Card, which has been around for a long time. It's actually quite similar to the one you featured :)

      Seen that one!
      I've previously used Windy one - but that's just card inside UI, with map from windy.com embedded.

    Great video. can you recommend a wireless camera with battery that is compatible with ha ? Thanks

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  Год назад

      I didn't play with battery cameras as they usually have big limitation for me.
      Those cameras usually don't stream all of the time as they save on battery by disconnecting WiFi and also they usually don't feature local web server nor ONVIF support on cameras and because of that we can't capture stream.. Try searching for Reolink battery cameras on Home Assistant forum . I think that for example Argus model is not working with HA.

    Thanks for the vid. Can you please advise what card you used for your System Statistics at the beginning of the video?

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  Год назад +1

      Well, that's not that easy - card is just plain simple internal Entities card, but you probably wonder about data in it - that's a bit more work. Here is the link to my repository github.com/BeardedTinker/Home-Assistant_Config/tree/master/entities/sensors/system
      Each sensor is used for different entity type. Currently YAML lines counter is broken.

    • @xbmcnut
      @xbmcnut Год назад +1

      @@BeardedTinker Thanks for the reply. I can probably just do those 'in-card' now without needing to creating individual sensors :)

      Unfortunately, but good to have options. Just bad that they are not part of HA. But that's also another problem.

    As for Dishwaster I think better to link to power use, but I'm not sure how to do

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  5 месяцев назад

      You can check here my automation I have on that - start and end: github.com/BeardedTinker/Home-Assistant_Config/tree/master/automations/utilities
      I use power monitoring to figure when it starts and finishes plus also track number of pods in stock (as we know how many times it started).

    Can someone explain me, why home assistant is soooooo ugly BY DEFAULT? The developers should also focus on themes & design language like Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.

    • @BeardedTinker
      @BeardedTinker  8 месяцев назад +1

      It's all in the eye of the beholder. But that also opens a lot of options to customise to your own liking.

    • @Voigt_Analytics
      @Voigt_Analytics 8 месяцев назад

      @@BeardedTinker I don't have the time. The design language should be a key feature for GUI/UX centric applications. At least themes should be available.
