- Auto Rickshaw Display Card System or Auto Rickshaw Driver Identification Display Card was introduced in the year of 2016 which couldn't maintain the momentum for long and vanished from the public domain in the same year; after a thorough discussion by the concerned department, again they initiated the system of Auto Rickshaw Display Card on 26 April 2021, the Dimapur Police introduced a new initiative making it mandatory for autorickshaw drivers to display their name and other details in the vehicle.
The move was to "ensure the safety of the auto rickshaw passengers," Dimapur Traffic Police stated in its update in 2016. In a significant move to address traffic congestion, prevent and detect crimes and to ensure safety of passengers particularly women and children in Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Kevithuto Sophie, flagged off the ‘Auto Rickshaw Display Card System’ (ARDCS) here on Saturday. So, the Question arises will it be a success or failure?
Tito Yepthomi, President, DDADU while interacting with NLTV stated it is very important and a secure procedure for both the Passengers & Auto Drivers to cooperate with the decision made by the Dimapur Traffic Police. Meanwhile, DDADU show full support and cooperation with the concerned Dept to successfully implement the Display Card System.

If the higher authority want us to renew our old auto 10, 15 years back(Impossible) I would rather ask them brand new .. How can we even supposed to make bcoz the amount is not less ,for some ,Auto is the only income source and private car for them. I think we should also think about the poor people like me. We are not rich as ACP,DCP,OC, etc. Naga manu para naga brothers sisters key morai dey ley ki bhal hobo hoo.
Many of our brother can not renew paper for 10,11, years,boc everyone is not rich so Without renewing paper can also make this display card or in our own nagaland we da nagas brother and sister can't drive without renewing paper and display card???

Safety for every citizen,gud...and one thing..either poor or rich vehicle should drive with proper permit/license.According to my knowledge 10-15 yrs not renewed license its nt department mestake but personal ,renewal must done due every given period of time... thank you

PS : On 2023 June, I left my phone in an Auto. The Auto Driver was so cunning, after he drop me in my location he gear away on full speed with my phone by the time I realise he was already gone and then I filed an FIR regarding my lose phone but still no update till now 😢maybe the police are still waiting for the phone to come walking by itself 😅
