Nyathri Tsenpo as Indian prince is promoted by Indian monk scholar Atisha who not only came to Tibet but lived his whole life in Tibet. His remains were entombed in Tibet and Chinese didn't destroy during the cultural revolution as he being a foreigner will bring diplomatic problem for China. China took this as oportunity to establish relationship with Bangladesh by returning the remains of Atisha Dipankara.
While the tombs of Tsongkhapa was thoroughly destroyed during cultural revolution.
It is said Nyathri Tsenpo was from Kongpo.
