This song reminds me of my all-time favorite K-pop group.....EXID. When their main singer and leader was ill, they kept going and put out some of the best music they've ever done. When Solji came back.......they slayed! Good for ITZY to keep the candle burning and even show a new artistic side of the group. They all stepped the fuck up.......especially my girl Chaeryeong! Respect!!!!

This is TMI, but we Midzys are used to things associated with Itzy not going right. But we push on for them regardless. Just my observation, but the kpop mainstream audience as well as the Korean networks' powers that be have been turning against Itzy ever since their comebacks became less mainstream appealing, starting in 2022. Conveniently forgetting all the accomplishments and work that Itzy did for 4th gen kpop earlier in their career. We love Itzy, but a lot of kpop fans love to hate Itzy. It's not all sunshine and rainbows if you side with Itzy, I'll tell you. The members won't make you regret it, but outsiders will try to make you rue the day you ever liked them (I sound pretty hyperbolic, but you'd be surprised how real this is in kpop). But Midzys will be tough for Itzy, because they've been tough all these years in the face of some truly awful stuff thrown at them.
Oh well that's tough to hear and I have seen a lot of that kind of negativity on Twitter! I'll still keep making the videos because I personally enjoy ITZY a lot - I just have to keep trying to get my videos to the people who want to see them! I had a similar issue with XG in the beginning and I just kept showing them love and eventually the XG fans found me, so that's what I'll do here! And if not, oh well I have fun watching ITZY and I know I have at least a few MIDZY here with me! ❤️

In the past, they have performed more than one song when promoting on the Korean music show circuit for each comeback, so title song and one other b-side. I would prefer this time that they choose Born to Be as the promotional b-side since it's such a stage banger and basically designed for pure performance. Also, if you get a chance, check out the Yeji & Hyunjin stage collab they did at the MBC Music Festival. It's incredible! The festival aired on Saturday, but it wasn't posted on RUclips till yesterday. FYI, it's on the Kocowa TV channel.

The fact this is under 3 mins may very well mean that they will use this song along with Untouchable for the music show stages as it is common now for groups to do 2 songs for the 1st 2 weeks of music show stages. We had thought Born to Be was going to be the 2nd song, but as the channels like the 2nd songs to not be very long, this may be the one they go with. We will see a week from Thursday. Unless they do Npop or K909 before Mcountdown.
@incheonguy thanks for the info! if that is what they end up doing, hopefully Born to Be will be used for the end of year festivals and award shows; it would be such a waste if they didn't. But it makes sense, since None of My Business was used as the 2nd song last comeback and it also had a chiller vibe, while Kill Shot, the intense energy song was saved for award shows and music festivals. To be honest I was hoping ITZY could have used Born to Be for the SBS Gayo and the MBC Music Festival, if they'd done that, their stage videos would have gone viral for sure and really helped to boost anticipation for the comeback. I know it's a prerelease but NMIXX has been using their prerelease Sonar for stages ever since it came out early December and it has really helped their exposure and hype.

Since you’re liking what you see this much, you really owe it to yourself to go back and check out core early Itzy when the came right out of the gate and claimed the 4th gen leader crown. Dalla Dalla, Wannabe, Icy, Loco are all well loved golden era MVs. Also you need to hear Yuna’s rap in Twenty. For some reason, they had a few releases in a row that were very polarizing, very hit or miss with some “fans” wanting “old Itzy” back and scrutinizing their views and sales. Yea they tried some new sounds but the flop claims were a bit ridiculous. I keep pre-ordering and haven’t been disappointed in an album yet. They were my top group for streaming 2023.
You can’t go wrong with whomever you choose as your bias but Ryujin been killin me since Dalla Dalla. My shoulders are still dislocated from Wannabe. Smh
