  • Last week, we released a video where women and girls spoke about being stared at, followed or even harassed by older men in public.
We want to reiterate - this behaviour is not acceptable and should not be tolerated. If you are being followed, feel scared and think you might be in danger, call Lincolnshire Police on 999.
Alternatively, if you do not need an immediate response, visit our website, and submit an online report or call 101. You can also download the StreetSafe app and tell us where you don’t feel safe.
We know some people feel anxious when contacting the force and might not understand how we work.
So we spoke to our Force Control Room call-taker Tara Conner and Detective Sergeant Katie Moore to explain more about how we deal with incoming calls and investigate crimes reported to us.
We will treat you with compassion, ask questions with empathy and pursue every line of enquiry available to us.
If you want more information visit the Violence Against Women and Girls section of the Lincolnshire Police website. You can also find the video mentioned earlier here.
You can find that information here - Violence against women and girls | Lincolnshire Police (lincs.police.uk)
