Great video thank you for making this. Couple hints to add for someone watching this because they’re going crazy trying to install: These worked fine on my 22 Chief Bobber with the Scout adapters Jim’s idea of mounting the boards to the adapters is the only way to go, not even sure it’s possible following Kuryakyn’s instructions to mount the adapters first. I put the shim in the bench vise and flattened it almost completely (it’s still more than tight enough) Put grease on the bracket, the shim and the retaining pin. Lined up the flat end of the shim on the adapter with the holes lined up and knocked it in gently with a rubber mallet Used a thin Allen key to put through the hole and wiggled it to line everything up for the pin. Did all this the following day after i got too frustrated to continue on the first day, using this method the next day it took all of a half hour. Thanks again for the great video and the brilliant idea of mounting the adapter to the board first! I’d probably still be working on it if you didn’t figure that one out!
You are a true inspiration to this 64 year old retired educator…your videos have given the the confidence and “BALLS” to finally pull the trigger and order my 2022 ISB…thank you brother BOB…😎👍🏼🤠
Thank you for the installation video. It's nice to see the struggle and how it was overcome. Also, I can confirm... the "D Spring" is in fact an asshole (@ 5:50)
Haha it really is. I try not to cut out me fumbling with stuff and having a hard time. It's important to see others struggle and solve unexpected problems.
I also swapped my pegs for Kuryakyn mini boards - my hips are much happier! I found that removing the OEM coil spring is easier if you use vise grips to keep the coil from spinning as you pick the end. Then just grab the end with needlenose, release the grip, and pull it off.
Sweet! These are generic Amazon grips. Search "YZF grips". The aluminum comes in a bunch of different anodized colors. I've been really happy with them, but they'll soon be replaced with some Motogadget grips that'll better match my new mirrors and toe pegs that are on the way.
Lol I installed floor boards today too lolz . I went with the counterfeit Indians on Amazon. I never realized how flimsy the Indian shift rod is. Mine is bent. I plan on replacing it with a billet one.
@@Jimbobbington yes sir. They’re long. I took it out for a nice long ride and they’re much more comfortable than the pegs. I was planning on the ones you got but ended up getting these due to price. I have a Memphis shades road warrior coming in tomorrow and a dean speed 22” slim sissy bar soon. All that will be left is bars and seat. The stock seat is brutal but it doesn’t look too bad. I want the mustang with back rest but seem to be out of stock everywhere
Bike looks great. I don't like those style pegs because riding boots cstch, drag when taking foot on and off or foot drags when trying to adjust foot. Some people that doesn't bug but me it does and why I don't like but again bike looks great.
@@Jimbobbington Cool. I'm more a boots guy with I tried those exact ones and didn't like with boots. Personal choice cool boots or not. Again like the whole look of your bike.

That's awesome to hear Johnnie! I hope you don't have to wait too long!
I have watched MANY of your excellent videos and JUST NOW noticed your shoe laces!!! 😮👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😎
Haha matchy matchy
Thanks Jim for the video, let's go to install this. From 🇨🇵 keep going🦾
Thanks for watching Chris!

I've only gone for a couple short rides so far, but the bottom half of my body definitely feels more comfortable with these!
I just took a flathead and a hammer. Couple whacks and the spring deals popped right out.
Maybe flatten the spacer out with some pliers?
Maybe easy tapping with a rubber or nylon mallet?
Probably would have helped yeah lol
I like your riding angle while you’re sitting on the bike…how tall are you Sir?
About 5' 11"
What's your opinion on a 400 mile day on the 1920 seat?
Just responded to your other comment about this.
Do these floorboards help, decrease, improve or same as pegs in the lean angle? I like the look of the boards.
They will definitely take more lean in order to scrape. They are about an inch less in width compared to the oem pegs and less thick at the edge.
Nice !!! I'll be putting them on pretty soon too.. also, meant to ask you, what grips you have on?

@@Jimbobbington sweet! I always look at the Avon grips, but they don't work with the bar end mirror. Bummer

Nice! Those floor boards are huge in comparison to these!

@@hootertexas9711 awesome, a man with a plan! Everyone is in love with the new Syndicate seat. Have you looked into that one?
@@Jimbobbington I have but I have a luggage rack over my rear fender so I can only run a solo seat with the luggage rack.

Thanks man! These aren't catchy at all, but I also wear riding shoes, not boots.

I'd of just ground a little bit off the new adapter.
I've seen thinner spring D shims for cheap too.
Toe pegs on a slow boat from China
They actually came by plane because they hit LAX!
@@Jimbobbington Oh snap! Let’s hope they don’t put it on mule-back to get it to you.
