I’m not a Paul-is-Dead-er but I like it as “canon Beatle lore” and the way I’ve heard this song explained as part of that story makes me love it more. This only adds to that. Especially the backing vocals. EERY STUFF
@@citygirljace I see. That would feed into the following song, "Good Morning' Good Morning" (or "Good Mourning?") where it says, "Nothing to do to save his life, Call his wife in." And then the lyrics in final song, "A Day in the Life" about the famous man dying in the car crash. I'm not a Paul-Is-Dead-head either, but it's fun to speculate.
Aside from a few classic ringo fills, the drum part is impressively restrained, probably because there's so much else going on in the lyrics and instrumentation, BUT he's still going bananas with tiny variations to the hi-hat playing!!! All four of them started to play with a swinging, swaggering, in the pocket feel around '67 and onward especially. This is a perfect example.
All of the photos representing the instruments are correct, but for the Comb and Paper part, not only George Harrison, George Martin, and Paul McCartney did them, but if you go to Wikipedia or Beatles Bible, you’ll see that all four Beatles did Comb and Paper.
It was. They recorded it with the tape slowed, so it would sound like this when played at normal speed. They mess with vari-speed all over Rubber Soul, Revolver and Sgt Pepper.
Not a lot of elements to this album were "left alone" as they pitched up other vocals (see: Lucy) and added effects to pretty much everything...if Revolver opened the door to this new phase in production then SPLHCB is the Narnia at the back of the wardrobe 😉
@@unistudiosclassicmonsters No, they are literally just sped up. They had recently discovered the possibilities of vari-speed. The vocals are all recorded at slower speed, then when played back at normal speed they sound like this.
Those single tracked lead vocals though🥵
He's really digging himself 😂
???
Love all the separate things happening. I love the dryms the best and the vocals. Thanks great song!
What about that walking bass, or should I say running bass, Paul is a bad boi, when I say bad, I mean Michael Jackson's bad, as in incredible.
I've just a big smile hearing Ringo's part, his fills and this sound...fuck...thanks !
I’m glad not a whole lot got blocked for this song, great work
Also btw are you able to upload the piano solo separately once it’s time?
Yes I will!

Could you please elaborate on that a little? I have no idea how this song feeds into the Paul-is-dead stuff or why it is eerie.
@@vulpo Some versions of the story say that “Rita” was a witness to the “car crash.”

Such talented guys, say no more
Because it has been said a million times before
McCartney killing it on the Bass again
I’ve just found your site and I’m overwhelmed with what a huge wealth of material there is to go through! Great job, thank you very much.
Love the vocal harmonies ✨✨
17:44 "don't believe it" Lol!
Never believe it!
Those harmonies though. Wow.

Love the Hats !
That second lovely rita part sounds glorious
which notes do you play for the bassline?:
Paul: yes
the guitars sound good
Fantastic !
"Ringo couldn't swing if he was(sic) hanging". - Wynton Marsalis. I would, with all respect, HIGHLY disagree!!!!
Who is this Wynton and how would he know 😂
@johndoe2883 one of the premier jazz trumpet players in the world.
@@jamescurran6277he should stick to trumpet then
Ringo is good for the music the Beatles made, but Marvin Gaye's song "Please Don't Stay ( Once You Go Away") check out those drums.
@@jamescurran6277 The same guy who thinks jazz fusion/any jazz after the 1960s isn't "jazz"?

There is a slide guitar along with the piano.
That’s a kazoo
You should do a Bob Dylan deconstruction for a video.
Can you do a video of like a rolling stone isolated? The bob dylan version
Wait! Where's the comb and tissue track?
Making abba isolated tracks all
Who do you choose a picture of Paul on drums during his bass part?
I guess he just found it funny
@@humanpaste1268Wiggles? That’s my childhood tv show. Nice.
Wow the vocals sound like chipmonks Is that really how they sound on the record?
Interesting that the acoustic guitar isn’t that accurate in some places.
Paul's voice sounds speeded up.

The beatles has some of the best harmonies. Their harmonies are as good as The Whispers, speaking strictly harmonies.
Yeah, but The Ivy League was better.
These all sound pitched up - a bit chipmunky....
That’s how they sound in the song, they’re just singing at a higher pitch for the bg vocals
