At 1:38 you mention the invalivements on the vocal. That’s actually very reminiscent of the way classical Indian musicians sing. So one might think that George’s interaction with Ravi Shankar might have also affected the Beatles in more hidden ways, like these vocals, as opposed to pulling out the old sitar and being way upfront about it. This Italian gentleman is one of the best educators about Beatles music on RUclips and I encourage everyone to support this channel. He really knows his stuff
When you break it down and analyze all the parts, it's really remarkable the complexity and creativity that went into the Beatles songs. I'm 74 and had a crummy band back in the mid-60s. We played (quite badly) some of their music. I had no clue in 1964-65 how many light-years I was behind musically. Your channel and listening to Past Masters and studio outtakes are a revelation.
Long awaited! I've missed you so much! Our Beatles band owes you, but we haven't made any money, but still, we'd like to humbly ask for "Hello Goodbye" Thanks so much for all you do!
The stuff you do on the Beatles is great. My 16-year-old daughters is loving the Beatles and this is one of her favorite songs. In some ways I'm a tone death baritone singer but I do know how to sing. My daughter has a natural god-given gift and ear and here's things better than I do. This video will teach her a whole lot that I could never do for her. I have probably nailed the high part in bridge over troubled water four times in my life, my daughter hits it every time perfectly. What's funny to me is she has the most wonderful voice in the high A to C.... And constantly struggles to try to hit anything lower than that. She actually forces herself out of tune. I tell her all the time to just sing in her natural voice and stay in the key and that's okay it's called Harmony... God bless her heart sometimes she just really wants to hit those low notes.
Lovely! Hey, thanks for the post. Its like rediscovering the beatles while listening after examining your breakdown. On top of that, you have such a strong command of your vocals!
Great to see and hear a new video from you! I know all the lyrics from the songs on the Sgt Pepper album and I remember this song from 1967 but, today, you have revealed parts of the harmony that I never knew were there for 55 years!.
Very nice work as usual. Thanks for taking the time to do the breakdown. I’ve always really liked the “lovely Rita, lovely Rita maid” harmonies before the break. Nice to hear how they were out together. Far more involved than it sounded to me but, then, that’s generally the way with the Beatles. It sometimes takes a lot of time and talent to make something sound easy! 😀
I’m currently working on a sgt pepper project, I’m playing every instrument and doing all the vocals. I did abbey road and you helped me the most with that.
Beautiful video for one of my favourite Beatles songs that always reminds me of my mom because she danced with me as a child to this song! I've heard this song hundreds of times since and you always highlight little intricacies I've never noticed. There's a reason why they still are the best band of all time
I will never forget my first time hearing Sgt Peppers.. I was living in Vegas and was maybe 8 or 9. I walked in the living room and my older brother had it on the stereo..I looked at the album cover and the feeling of them being royalty..and it was amazing..I don't think I have ever dabbled with my guitar on any of these songs.. many beatles..but not this album..the best album ever made in my opinion..
Beautiful! One of my favourite songs also. It's fantastic to hear it broken down so well and to be able to see/hear/feel each part that makes up the whole. Your vocals are spot on Galeazzo. You sound great. Thank you 👍 Paul, Melbourne, Australia
Wow ... you've really outdone yourself this time! You've captured so many gorgeous little details, and the ADT effect makes your impersonations of the various Beatles' vocal timbres even more authentic-sounding. Incredible! This really made my day. Also several of those little downward slides are examples, I think, of why Paul cites Pet Sounds as an influence. It's also extremely helpful to have so many chapter markers and I love the new crystal clear video quality.
I covered this song about 7 years ago before discovering this channel and did it simply by listening to the original record, turned out pretty good, but with this tutorial, it likely would have turned out better. Thank you so much!
Bravo, Galeazzo! I really appreciate your detailed analysis of this lovely song. Understanding the complexity of it makes me love it even more. Grazie mille!
Oh Galeazzo! You really have taken things to another level with your recent videos! So professional! This sounds great! And I agree with your views on double tracking. I prefer to record the part twice than use ADT. Please keep up your great work!
So the ADT technique was invented as a reaction to John’s hating to have to double-track his lead vocals. So they did what they called “flanging” likely because the name sounded cool.

Oh well, if it ends it wont be the end of MY world !
@@rcs3030 it will be for those that want to know how it’s really done correctly with all the subtle nuances in the vocals …
No wonder this album blew apart Brian Wilson mind because he would understand the complexity of harmony singing going on here
5:20 George was ALWAYS given the least distinctive, hardest to imagine, middle of the mess-most melodic line. And he NAILECD it every time.
Only me that noticed that Galeazzo also does each part trying to emulate the vocal texture of each singing Beatle (J, P & G here)? Amazing!

Even though I've listened to this song hundreds of times, you have excavated lines I have never heard before! Love the Studio 2 background by the way!
You're the first one to comment this :)
You’ve changed! Sound and presentation are even better!
I love that you’re making vocal harmony tutorials again! I’ve been a big fan since 2012!
Long awaited! I've missed you so much! Our Beatles band owes you, but we haven't made any money, but still, we'd like to humbly ask for "Hello Goodbye" Thanks so much for all you do!
Probably my favorite Beatles song

Really amazing how much vocal harmonies details !!!! Wow !!!
The backing vocal has always been enchanting and now I know why
Fantastic breakdown - I had no idea the vocals were so intricately arranged.
Lovely! Hey, thanks for the post. Its like rediscovering the beatles while listening after examining your breakdown. On top of that, you have such a strong command of your vocals!
no wonder they never played these songs live at the time, you would have needed about 20 vocalists on stage.
Subscribed! Always fascinated with the harmony vocals on this song.
WOW! So much work from the Beatles on their harmonies (particularly from Paul). the results are mind boggling. And Galeazzo you're now a great singer!
I love that it's so clear that you are having so much fun with it
Bravissimo come sempre... Brano stupendo

I love your videos. Lovey Rita is one of my fav Beatle songs and I love hearing you dissect their music. Thank you!
Amazing breakdown on the harmonies of Lovely Rita. I forget that this is another masterpiece of the Beatles genius.
I never noticed how complex the harmonies were before the solo!
Master of the vocals! So well done!
I’m currently working on a sgt pepper project, I’m playing every instrument and doing all the vocals. I did abbey road and you helped me the most with that.
Grande Galeazzo.
I can't tell you how much so many people including myself appreciate these lessons. Can't wait to recreate this song myself.
I’ve been watching you for over 10 years, crazy to think it’s been that long. I’m glad to see you’re still making videos! 👏👏👏😁
wow, it was really good. I thought it was just three vocals, but there are four, great work, I'm your fan
