Loved it! Love Jonty’s humility. Something you don’t typically associate with the South African and Australians cricket fraternity of the 90’s/ early 2000’s.
Gary Bailey was one of my favourite players as well. As a United fan who started going to games in 1985, he was our first choice goalie and was brilliant. Unfortunately he got injured at the 1986 World Cup with England and had to retire. I went to his testimonial game at Old Trafford against an England 11. As for Jonty Rhodes, what a player. I first saw him play at the 1992 World Cup and couldn’t believe how athletic he was.
If you ever pick an all time best XI of ODI cricket then Jonty would have to be there simply for his fielding. He saves you 30 plus runs every single game.
India tried learning from South Africa to how to be elite at the top level , imagine if South Africa had half the financial resources or even 1/4 of it . How much could’ve been different
15:54 Steve Bucknor is one of the most arrogant and incompetent umpires in the history of the game along with Shakoor Rana. What a disgrace Bucknor was to the game! He has cost India many a match in his efforts to please the then hierarchy controlling the game.
Why are Indians always moaning about umpires and conditions overseas? I'm New Zealand and when India come to us you all moan and complain about pitches.

@@peternagy-im4be Our cricketers are doing exactly that - playing the game on the conditions they are given and trying their best. And they are not too bad at it. If some former players or supporters moan then why do you take it to heart? Just close your ears with your fingers.
