My brother’s getting a new Frontier, it’s a good looking truck but the interior sucks, they just recently changed the body style starting MY2022, the old one had been on the market since the early 2000s and looked hilariously outdated
@@mustasheolll2020 i like the frontier and call me crazy but i like the snug interior if you know what i mean. yes it is alittle outdated. but i like it
This generation Colorado looks nice, but the only people I've seen drive them here in Florida are 65+. Would be interested to see the purchasing demographic data from GM
Really need to include looking at rear seat storage, flip up seats fold down seat etc. This is a big thing esp for people coming from say a F150 with cavernous back seats (you can fit a 65" TV back there, easy).
@@senseicorey9979 you can come on whatever you want.. I’m just letting people know what’s under the hood because GM won’t. Go ask the owners of these trucks if they knew their new truck has “active fuel management “ before they bought it. My brother bought a Honda Ridgeline and was shocked when I told him.
It’s a familiar luddite tune, but I want less screens and digital clusters. And piano black trim near touch points. Come on, manufacturers, cater to the 1% of us.
Hands down the best one. It’s got the most bang for your buck (though it still shouldn’t have the price tag it has) compared to all of the other offerings, and has a NA V6. It’ll be on the road for a long time. And I love the design.
Honestly in my opinion this would make you a better daily than the Subaru/Toyota your considering. Ease of maintenance and in and out a bunch will be easier on you.
@@wigletron2846 Well I'd agree for the first year or two of production, I know a couple of people who have later years ie. 2021 and newer and they've been problem free.
Hard to believe the Colorado has become the best value in the midsized segment. The Tacoma and Ranger have gotten way too expensive and the Frontier can reach mid $40K with the Hardbody package, fewer options and cloth seats. My guess is the Colorado can also be had with more rebates than any other midsized truck and it looks quite nice and powerful. The powertrain also looks like a winner. No wonder why GM is selling a ton of these
@@wigletron2846 I haven't heard any widespread issues with these new Colorados. The 2nd gens were hit or miss and the 1st gens were junk. Tacoma is having transmission issues and front suspension got cheapened also so there's a potential failure point if you do off-road
Great video. I'm in the market for a Colorado. Either Z71, Trail Boss, or LT. Question, does the LT come with the 2.7 TurboMax or just a 2.7L engine? I confused on this subject.
You can buy the truck and later take it back to dealer for a tune and get the higher hp output. I think its 500 for that. So youre not locked into one option
Hi there! I’m planning to watch this video later, but I wanted to share a suggestion. I've noticed that your channel features a wide range of vehicles, from very nice to average, and even some that are in pretty bad shape. While I appreciate the variety, I find that when you showcase rusty or dirty cars, it dampens my enthusiasm to watch more videos afterward. I know not every vehicle will match my preferences, but it would be great if you could maintain a consistent standard in the cars you feature. It could help keep viewers like me engaged. Thanks for considering my feedback, and best of luck!
there are many new vehicle only car reviewers. Some of us find refreshing Zach reviews a variety vehicles, both old, new, rare and true survivors. I'm convinced that's one of the key's to his success. Moreover please consider he reviews both dealer/MFR vehicles but also from his followers who submitted their vehicles online. By denying those vehicles he would also compromise his content and followers.
@@engineer_alv thanks for sharing your view, I really find that some of the vehicles he brings are way too off. But yeah maybe his main audience disagrees.
I think this is the truck Chevrolet got right. Weakness is difficult to locate with this one. Looks-wise, it's ugly. Some smoothness or maybe S-10 cues would improve it greatly. Odd thing is, the Colorado weighs almost the same as the full size.
Zach, why did you pass the New Colorado for the big friggin bottle test, yet you failed the Canyon? Don't they have the same center console and cupholders?
yes, Chevy expanded availability of the 11" cluster to TrailBoss and Z71, but didn't know it also came with the LT. Maybe part of an option package since the WT still comes with the 8" cluster
The Tacoma isn’t what it once was I’m afraid. It’s now made in Mexico, it’s way over priced, it’s got a new turbo 4 that’s not proven and isn’t gonna have the longevity of the 3.5 V6. While I won’t deny the Colorado has had a ton of issues, I mean many had dead batteries after only a month of ownership, and I question other things about it, at least the 2.7L Turbomax has been around for a while but that also won’t get V6 reliability. Imo, the best midsize truck is now the Nissan Frontier.
Considering how many issues the new Tacoma is having, this is starting to seem like a viable and more affordable option
BRING BACK THE CHAPTERS ZACH I KNOW YOU SEE ME.
It needs more cab/bed options. The Frontier and Tacoma do and the Ranger might get some next year.

The 2.7 i4 shines im this application. In the Silverado not so much
These "midsized" trucks are so big, might as well spend 10k more and get a silverado.

Cylinder deactivation on 2.7 liter Colorado's I've heard is a nightmare
The WT trim and LT trims do not have a low range in 4x4 the upcharge is a arm and 2 legs for higher trims, I will hang on to my 2018 LT V6 😮
