  • This was a great test for the impeller kit with this outrageously wet slushy snow.
With 2 identical Honda snowblowers, one with an impeller kit and one without this video shows which one is the clear winner.
The Honda without the kit was throwing snow about 8-10 feet but more importantly it was clogging much more and I had to work more slowly.
The video shows that the Honda WITH the impeller kit could work faster, threw the snow 20-25 feet and did not clog at all.

agree. usually you dont need them on a 11-1332. I put one on a 1132 and measured the throw of 118"....

Must video editing tricks! JK. That is amazing. It's like a whole different snowblower. Used my 1336 first time in very slushy wet snow and it was a beast. I can only imagine what a an impeller kit would do to that monster. Turn it into a Titan!

probably not needed. i generally dont install them on the 11 and 1332 because they already have so much power. but it would be fun. thanks.

I totally need to get one for my older HS724-TA we normally get wet snow on the east coast. You had me laughing about the second car you didn't seem to mind getting snow on it. I assume the truck is yours since you didn't hit it with snow. I am really curious why there is a golf bag sitting in the snow with balloons. Many thanks

That is my Tahoe beater car. 99 Subaru which is great in snow and already has plenty of dents. I drive that one a lot. Thanks.

Not quite an equal test but hey for the sake of six drilled holes it's probably worth a try for everyone.

I miss the maneuverability of these little guys. Look how close you get to the car without fear.

What’s your favorite Honda snowblower ever made?

Is the impeller kit a commercially available kit, or just cut down rubber that you have to fashion yourself? I have both a 6 and a 7 HP Honda blower and they are worthless in slush. And the impellers are cast steel, not easy to drill and tap.

you can make your own or buy the kits on amazon and ebay. i have done many so I make my own kits out of baler belt etc. but if you only do one or 2 maybe buying would be okay with no waste.
