That’s a great idea! I’ll have to look into that. The basket is working for now, but I need a better solution because my stash also keeps multiplying. 😬
One of the loveliest craft rooms I've seen. Absolutely love the colour and wallpaper. I tilted some of my billy bookshelves back - the front is one hole higher than the back, and that stops things like vinyl rolls and paper rolls from rolling off, they fit perfectly. You can also get an X insert from ikea that fits into the kallax.
That’s a great Billy hack! I ended up buying the split shelf for the Kallax too. I didn’t use it for vinyl rolls, but if helps keep my heat press and supplies separate.
I love the design of this craft room. You’re not overwhelmed by too much colour and too many items. I love organizing bookcases loosely and packing most of the items away. Hope you have many happy crafting hours in your new room.
Thanks so much for the kind words, Debbie! Yes, this room is very calming for me. I’m enjoying every minute creating in here. I hope you have a space where you can enjoy crafting too.😊
Wow what a super craft room. The colour, paper and furniture look so nice together. And, the picture rail is genius. Your room is so inspirational and really appreciate you sharing it … thank you.
Oh, this is nice, bright, and fresh. Hubby did a good job with the paper storage box. It is a small space, but your selection in storage ideals and what nots are excellent. I love it all, I would of never thought about painting the light, I like the color you chose. I hope you got hot your champagne 😀 Happy crafting !
Thanks so much, Gale! It was a labor of love. I’m so happy to have a space to craft in now. I definitely feel more organized and ready to craft! I hope it was helpful.
It’s absolutely beautiful! I love the wallpaper you chose, and it does remind me of Tommy Bahama! I would like the name of the other one though, because I think it adds more color, which is what I’m looking for. I am only planning to do one wall also so I don’t think it will be too overwhelming. Your room is beautiful & very functional. Congratulations and I hope you enjoy using it! And don’t forget to push the button for champagne!
Thank you so much! It makes such a difference to have a happy space for crafting. Here’s a link to the other wallpaper: bit.ly/3KSpUU7. It’s a bit pricey, but if you’re only doing one wall it might not be too bad. Thanks for the sweet comment, and yes, more champagne please!😂
You've done an incredible... beautiful and very useful room. I could never imagine my "watercolor" space like that... it's in our bedroom and plan on using our own bookshelves and dresser. I like your rolling cart - especially for paint! You've inspired me ... Thank you! 😊 With love from a California Gramma ❤️
Thanks so much, Ann! This project took me several months, especially to get everything somewhat organized. I’m glad you got some useful tips. That makes my day! Hugs from Texas!
Love this! Just found you . Will be redoing my craft room soon and going to IKEA! I love how your space turned out and the hanging picture thing is so cool! 😊
Thanks, Kimberley! I'm so glad you'll be working on your craft space soon! Yay! 🙌🏼 It's so nice to have a place to create and get inspired. Have fun with it!

Awesome transformation🤗🤗🤗 Perfect chice for the wallpaper. I love the rail……and the idea to suspend it between the book shelf’s……..genius 🤗🤗🤗. You will enjoy your craft room……your happy space ……creating projects to share here on your channel Congrats and enjoy🥰
Thank you so much for the sweet comment! 🥰 I’m really enjoying this space now. The frame rail was my husband’s idea, and I’m so happy with it! I hope you’ll do something special for yourself too! 💗
Good to know! I’ve seen that one and wondered if people liked it for vinyl. I might reconfigure mine a little. I did add a divided 2 slot insert to have more room with my EasyPress.
Love your space and OMYGOD, I can SO relate!! I just got back to my knitting/crocheting and have started practicing watercolor painting!! Thank you for sharing!!❤️🥰🙏🏼
Thanks, Aida! You’re inspiring me to get back to trying watercolor! I got excited and bought the stuff, but life got busy. I signed up for a class on Craftsy to try again. 🥰 Let’s Make Art had some easy tutorials for beginners like me too.
I like how you organized your room. I'm currently in the process of organizing my craft room/office in preparation for when I retire in August of this year.
Your craft room is beautiful! What I did for my vinyl storage is - I cut down a PVC pipe to a bunch of 10 inch sections and then stacked them up to fill up one of my cabinets. Then I just slide the rolls in and out as needed. I have the IKEA Besta cabinets btw.
Thanks so much! I also really appreciate you sharing your vinyl storage tips. I still have some rolls in their original box, but that takes up more room. I love the PVC idea!👏🏼
Your new space is so fresh looking Crissy! Your idea for fabric storage is smart - I have quilted for years and mostly have (actually 'had' because I have paired down my fabric collection quite a bit) fat quarters. Folding all the pieces into the same size and shaper really helps with storage. You did a great job on your room and I know you will create beautiful things in your craft space!
Thank you, Cindy! It feels so good to finally have things organized. My fabric organization was a big project since I was not very tidy with it before. Now I’m inspired to start sewing again! Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks, Charlene! Yes, I was fortunate to have this space to work with. I’d definitely focus on using tall bookcases with height extensions or Kallax cubes to maximize space in your room. Another option is a foldable desk/table that you can set up or store as needed. Not sure if my post with 30+ craft organization ideas might help? www.firstdayofhome.com/craft-room-organization-ideas/
We love it!! Such an awesome choice of furniture (our first choice!). And, WOW! Such a transformation! Sweet light as well!! Can't wait for the next video!! 👍👍👍
BEAUTYIFUL Craftroom! I love what you did! I especially how you found bins for your ribbons, I need a better solution for mine so I will have to try your idea for them! Thanks for sharing your happy place!
Beautiful craft room. Just a note - rubber bands and cardboard will ruin your fabric. Use plastic clips and comic boards instead to protect your fabric.
Hi Sheri. It’s a little tricky to explain, but we have a piece of trim (think crown moulding from a home improvement store) that is cut to the width between the bookcases. Then we screwed in a metal L-shaped rod to the back of the moulding that extends beyond the width of the moulding. That L sits on top of each bookcase and is flush with the top and back edge of the bookcase. The hanging wall frame is attached to the front of the moulding. I hope that makes sense if you watch that part of the video again.
Thanks, Pamela! The ones I bought say they are unavailable right now, but these are very similar: amzn.to/46TKlro. Here's another style that is a little cheaper too: amzn.to/3uWNAAZ. I hope this helps!
Hi Kay! Thanks for the question. The baskets are actually fairly soft and don’t have wires sticking out, so they haven’t scratched anything so far. They are made of hyacinth.
Thanks so much, Janet! I've been really enjoying the room. The doorbell was a splurge I had on my Christmas list. I think she is sold out of the large doorbell button, but she has a cute mini one available. You can find it here: shrsl.com/3m0yz. 💕 Crissy
Yes, that’s right! I might have some better footage in the first video: ruclips.net/video/KvCcUD0F7Ew/видео.html. You can go to the section where I put together the craft table. I can’t remember the name of the tabletop, but it’s IKEA too. Hope that helps!
I love your craft room. Im really hoping you see this question. I need more decoration in my craft room and I love the Press for Champaign. Where did you find it? Thank you
Thanks for subscribing! Yes, there are so many talented people on here! I have the larger doorbell. It’s a little pricey, but I got it as a Christmas gift. I love it!😁

I use 12x12 photo boxes to keep my vinyl rolls in! It fits in the cub storage, they're cheap and it looks clean.
That’s a great idea! I’ll have to look into that. The basket is working for now, but I need a better solution because my stash also keeps multiplying. 😬

How is the board between the bully bookcases attached? I like this idea!
