I think "when the party's over", "bellyache", and "all the good girls go to hell" are some of her most symbolic videos. would love to see a reaction to those!
Enjoy ur Billie reactions, She creates and directs most all her videos. She and her brother do all the music, writing, production. You should go chronologically, tho several of her biggest songs were not even on her albums. Her latest album shows her vocals maturing, at a level well beyond her 22 years. But, go directly to last year's Barbie song video 'What Was I Made For'. Billie directed it and it earned them both their 2nd Oscars, a Grammy, more. She also has a video on 'the making of the video'. Love Billie and Finneas.
@@joeesparks7 If you are into symbolism def. watch "When The Party's Over" by Billie!!! Also, "Hostage" and "Lovely" (which has more than 2 billion views here on YT alone).
Superb reaction! This was written for the NETFLIX series "13 Reasons Why" one of the few songs that incorporates writers along with Billie & Finneas - Aron Forbes & Tim Anderson; Billie had the concept, MILES & J directed it, Finneas produced the song. She was 15!. Other songs - a personal favorite "idontwannabeyouanymroe" This one has a live performance on "Billie Eilish - idontwannabeyouanymore/A COLORS SHOW" on this channel: COLORS with the aforementioned title, April 3, 2018 - in this COLORS show you can see the music moving through her - how she feels it; It is also on the BILLIE EILISH channel (January 4, 2018) as the OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO - both are great - I would pick the live COLORS if I had to, but the MUSIC VIDEO IS AN EXCELLENT DEPICTION of the 15 yr. old's state of mind. Also, her OSCAR WINNING performance of "NO TIME TO DIE" [for Bond movie of same title]on Feb, 18, 2020 in London. Channel: Billie Eilish "No Time to Die" - Live at the Brits. One more [I could actually list many more!} - Billie Eilish and Finneas doing "OCEAN EYES" [the song the began it all] live on January 31, 2017 on this channel: We Found New Music "Billie Eilish - (Live) Ocean Eyes. P.S. When Billie was 15, (maybe 14) she also wrote [with Finneas, everything is WITH FINNEAS] "Listen Before I Go" expressing suicidal ideation - not imagined, but real - she sang this live at the Steve Jobs theatre, playing piano - just Billie, Finneas is standing in the background - it's (for me) a tearjerker and I'm old. It's on the Billie Eilish - December 19, 2019 -the day after she turned 18.
YES, the live version of Listen Before I Go at Apple with her accompanying herself on piano is mesmerizing and haunting. I don't know of many other solo live performances by her..
Omg this is one of my favorite music video, so simple but soooooo beautiful and meaningful. Thank you so much. Cant wait for another reaction on Billie !!!
Hey thanks for the trip on the Billie wayback machine. She's always been an old soul. She started directing all her stuff after "When the Party's Over".
love this reaction! I think "when the party's over", "bellyache", "happier than ever" and "all the good girls go to hell" are some of her most symbolic videos. would love to see a reaction to those!
I think you are just doing the right thing. Stay with her DSAM era for a while until you proceed to her more recent music. My suggestion for the next song would be "Copycat" / live, Mahogany session.
I haven’t heard or seen this, so glad you did it. Yes you definitely need to do more especially as a videographer… her music is great but I think you will appreciate her MVs so much.
Another I’d love to see you react to is Melanie Martinez… I wanted to do a request at some stage but I can never actually be there for a livestream so there’s no point in me requesting something. I think you would definitely appreciate her MVs as well as her lyrics messages & sound
It's crazy to me that she's 15 in this video! She's been great from day one. You need to check out the videos for When the Partiy Is Over and Happier Than Ever (which is just a fantastic song and video)! Oh! And Bury a Friend is another great video! Even the first video, Ocean Eyes, filmed when she was 14.
Apparently it was directed by LA based director-duo Miles & AJ, but in some sources Billie also has a directing credit for it too. So maybe she worked closely with them in developing it? But she did start directing her own music videos I think with Xanny, and then she also did for sure direct Everything I Wanted and I think most of her mid-career stuff at least.
Some of my favorite songs of hers are the less popular ones. "Six Feet Under" and "When I Was Older" are faves but neither have music videos. (Six feet under has a fan made video)
Order is less critical for Billie than for other artists like NF and TOP, with the exception of Bury A Friend (DOPE video) and All The Good Girls Go To Hell. Enjoy the ride!
One of the very few real artists in music today.
So stoked for more Billie! 🎉
Me too thanks to u my fren👊🏽
same!

Billie is huge on symbolism and deeper meanings to her videos. Great reaction❤
I love it...cuz this was so dope!

Apple TV has her documentary. After seeing her work, I was hooked. Billie is dope and the real deal

I love this reaction, what a song.
You are right, Billie put out various shoe models with Nike.

Hostage is one of my favorite songs and videos. I feel it never got the attention it deserves.
I don't think I've seen this one before, and I've watched a lot of Billie's stuff!

The Mahogany sessions for both Copycat and Party Favor are *incredible*.

This is a pretty early song. Not before ocean eyes..but not too long after. Probably like 15 in this.

Love your Billie reactions. Ocean Eyes was the first video. More from Don't Smile at me era are, Bellyache and Hostage, for starters.
Here for you.🙂

As a videographer you should react to "bury a friend" and "happier than ever" videoclips from Billie

God i miss this era 😪
