That's what happened to me. I used to love singing but after straining my voice so much, I lost it. I got it back a week later but I was not able to sing anymore. My vocal chords were damaged permanently. :( Unfortunately surgery is not an option for me and I will not be able to sing again.

I used to be in a band MANY years ago now, and the way Miley's voice went in this particular Hannah Montana episode- the amount of bloody times that's happened to ME an' all! MANY a time, my voice has gone EXACTLY like that after I've sung a lot, (and sometimes, about ten times bloody worse than that!) :/
Is it just me or does this sound exactly like what happened to Bill Kaulitz from Tokio Hotel? Loses his voice during a concert, has to get surgery, cant talk for 2 weeks etc.

It’s called laryngitis, like you’d know if you ever went to see a doctor. I currently have it again (a few times a year) thanks to my asthma -.-
