You get even more excited for these odd brick-built creatures. Come 2014. It is February. Then the day finally comes: The first Mixels episode, Coconapple, is shown to the world. It was on news sites like Yahoo News and even before showings of The LEGO Movie. That is the moment your life has changed. The whimsical banjo theme music. The whacky antics of these colorful creatures. The creativity of it all. You've become absolutely enamored with the silly world of the Mixels. You created your own fan characters, you've collected the sets, you've played the games (both online and mobile), and the show has even shaped your artstyle. You've made amazing friends along the way, who share the same love for these quirky critters. More creative Mixel tribes get revealed, and more fun episodes got released (even with the months-long wait for Mixel Moon Madness, Every Knight Has Its Day, and Nixel Nixel Go Away). It was 2016. Year three came. Every LEGO theme eventually ends at this stage. The final wave of Mixels were in stores, and the special Nixel Nixel Go Away aired on Cartoon Network. It was goodbye for these beloved beasts. We mustn't cry because Mixels is over, but smile because it happened. As long as it's small fanbase is active, the fantastic legacy of Mixels will never die.

In 2014, I got into the wacky creatures and collected them all over the span of 2 years, forgot about them, remembered them in 2018, I Briefly got back into Mixels, forgot it bout a month later, by then all my Mixels were in bits and pieces, 4 years later, I am still rebuilding 8 and 9 and have store displays and sample products from the little series.
0:00 only saw it in Mixels instructions.. 0:05 since when did they have boxes?!?! 0:11 probably a promo showing the Mixels in a container. 0:17 OH MY GOD THAT'S WHERE TENTRO COMING OUT OF THE TV COMES FROM. Never went to the Mixels website though.. 0:21 That's so cool that either they got a box with series 1 or Lego still makes series 1. 0:27 series 2 display. 0:33 Series 6 was nice. I liked the maxes. 0:37 this is rare. 0:43 I remember when I built Series 7, I also ate a pretzel at the mall when I was building them. 0:48 I don't remember this but still nice. 0:53 series 4, this was like a fever dream but I'm a awake. 0:58 series 4, 5, and 6 all together. 1:04 display of Burnard, Nurp Naut, and Globert. Sometimes I dream, I wonder what the future will be like for toy lisences like Lego, specifically themes like Ninjago, Lego ideas, star wars ECT, or even simply the quality they will hold overtime, while some themes still hold up well but others just crash and burn, I mean have you seen all the marvel sets we've gotten the past few years it's just mech after mech after mech, and people take for granted that all the joint pieces for all these mechs and robots came from Mixels. In my opinion Mixels is one of the most underappreciated Lego themes ever, it help bring new ideas pieces and possibilities for Lego to grow as a company, Mixels was designed to promote to people the main use of Lego, to use your imagination to the max, by creating and mixing your own characters, and it was genius, and whilst Mixels was on the market for those 3 years, it was some of the best years of my life, I would always be excited to purchase a new Mixel and see what I could make, and to see some of the elements Mixels introduced to be used for crappy mechs we get year after year makes me sad, as it feels like some Lego themes don't have that sense of wonder as they used to, and maybe that's why Mixels was so unique, it didn't go on for a long time, but while it lasted it felt exciting, and if it went on for to long maybe people would have gotten bored of it, maybe it was best that Mixels didn't over stay it's welcome as its remembered for it's simple concept, and while simple it was perfect, it didn't need any deep or complicated lore to make it interesting or any crazy multiverse theories or any of that, it was a Lego lisence about the Mixels Mixing to stop the Nixels and it was very charming. Who knows maybe years and years in the future Mixels will come back and I can tell my kids that I was there when they first arrived, and that I still kept building and collecting them years after they had finished, and I can share those experiences with my kids, or maybe they'll be interested in another Lego franchise and if so I'll be glad as it shows your personality and what your interested in, whether it's Chima, Power Miners, or uhm... Video "I've never met a single person who likes that but if you do good for you, I guess" but for me it will always be Mixels, and I think all of us have a Snax shaped hole in our hearts to realize that Mixels will always be with us.
100% agree. The thing about Mixels which I love the most is that it encouraged people to be creative and to build whatever they imagine, which (to me at least) is the entire point of LEGO bricks. Also, the impact that Mixels has had on LEGO sets over the last years has been enormous - almost every small mech and creature uses parts from Mixels. Every time when I open a new Ninjago set and find the many ball joints introduced in Mixels, it puts a smile on my face. I would love to see a spiritual successor to Mixels in the future, but seeing LEGO's focus on licenced themes right now, I unfortunately don't have very high hopes. When Mixels came out in 2014, there was Hero Factory, Chima, Ninjago, Ultra Agents, the LEGO Movie sets, and BIONICLE was rumored to be coming back from the grave. Now, the only unlicenced themes we have are Ninjago, Monkie Kid and Dots (which ending this year). Even if Mixels never comes back, I still want to see new themes that can capture people's creativity the same way as Mixels did 9 years ago.

While lisenced themes are cool it's important Lego makes famous themes of its own, also not to mention some themes like DC have just been completely forgotten about, and others decide to reuse the same damn idea over and over again, EHERM- MARVEL! And it is shown Legos own themes can do very well most notably Ninjago, I mean it's been here for over ten years! I never got to experience this... They barely sold mixels sets in my country. They never even advertised them either. All they did was air the shorts… Like, I genuinely did not know that mixels was a Lego property until I looked it up in 2019 Edit: It didn’t help that the shorts and the promos for the shorts didn’t show that Mixels was a Lego property. They just put the Mixels logo there and there they didn’t even say it was Lego at all
