A small thing, but it may help to know that in Calcutta, and maybe all over India, the money collected by beggars is pooled and shared equally with all the beggars. It kinda opens your heart. 🙏
Hmm, not sure about that. My Roots are in Kolkatta - i can't see this being as simple as you say. Maybe on a small scale due to family ties; but it's difficult to implement. Most ppl are for themselves thesedays regardless of ethnicity or status
In the Ashtanga Yoga (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashtanga_(eight_limbs_of_yoga) ), one of the do's is "Santosha (संतोष): contentment, acceptance of others, acceptance of one's circumstances as they are in order to get past or change them, optimism for self".. may be what she said in the video is the reason why.
Two questions. At 69 I’ve realized I was born into a family (extended too) that are very evil (extremely narcissistic) not all but most. I am not. I’ve been extremely hurt, abused, etc. many friends too. Why did I incarnate surrounded by such evil? I’m far from perfect and I know that but I’m not evil. My vibration is higher than most of them. Why did I end up here? Unless I’m totally delusional. Also in the past 9 years I’ve been acting out, mostly to my husband of 44 years who is now very ill but more abusive than ever. I’m acting in ways I despise. I am sick myself, totally isolated due to choices I made (not leaving him and others), I’m terrified and have no where to go. No one willing to help. Many believe I deserve what I’ve gotten because I stayed. I let my children take advantage and now they don’t care and are also abusive. I’m not playing the victim. I’m telling the truth. I’m trying to figure this all out. I’m afraid I’ve destroyed all the good I’ve done because I’m acting out terribly to my husband now. Can you help me understand?
Hi, I hope someone has reached out to you in the meantime, but the most important lesson that I took from this lecture, is that meditation changes your energy field and therefore your reality as well. If you're feeling desperate, reach out to your higher spirit or God in meditation. Try to leave your emotions out of it, try to stay completely neutral, detach from your circumstances when you go into meditation. Only focus on your third eye chakra. When you notice your attention wandering off again, just calmly bring it back to your third eye. Thoughts will keep flowing, but don't attach yourself to the thoughts. Just realize, oh, there are the thoughts again, bye thoughts, and bring the focus back on the third eye, and keep doing this over and over again, for at least 15 - 20 minutes. I find it helpful to meditate on a mantra (either Om or Om Namah Shivaya - I am a Shiv devotee - but you can pick any mantra that resonates with you and makes you feel stronger). At first you may not notice a lot of difference, but don't give up, keep doing it, if possible, at least twice a day, and eventually you'll start noticing a change in yourself. Even if your circumstances haven't changed, your reaction to your circumstances will be different. You'll be more calm. Make a point of observing that change and appreciating it, because your own changed behaviour will eventually bring about a change in your circumstances, and the more aware you are of your own changed behaviour the less the chances are that you'll slide back into old patterns. That's all I can tell you from my own experience. Good luck! 👍🏽 I wanted to add that, sometimes it may not be helpful to try to understand why you are in the situation that you are; it only sucks you deeper into the energy of that situation and brings you more of it. Try to accept the situation, understand that it's there to teach you something, take the lesson, but then let it go, even if you don't understand the lesson yet. It will reveal itself eventually, maybe once you're out of the situation, then a lightbulb will go on, because you'll view it from a different perspective. May you be blessed with God's grace. 🕉️🙏🏽🔱
I agree with what Savoera has said. It seems to me that we can operate from either higher consciousness (love, peace, compassion, understanding etc) or from lower consciousness (of fear, anger etc) and we all switch between these two. It recently occurred to me that instead of tackling our lower consciousness issues individually (which are both time consuming and takes a lot of effort), it might be better to perform regularly the things that elevate our consciousness, so we can naturally operate from there. I am finding that regular Pranayama, Yoga asanas, chanting sacred mantras and meditation elevate our consciousness. The mindful awareness of the thought also may elevate the consciousness. It may take some time (weeks or month or years), but this seem like the best way forward and this seem to have the potential to resolve the problems for good.
Very thoughtful response. Just one thing. I think we shouldn't meditate on just Om or chant Om on a regular basis. This was mentioned by my teacher Dr. Lad. He said, Om should always be combined with some other mantra like Hari Om or Om Namah Shivaya, as chanting just Om can push all the earthly things away and not suitable for normal people who have earthly desires.
The laws of Karma is in direct opposition to the laws of reincarnation. Karma is cause and effect. You must pay for something you did in the past life. Reincarnation is being reborn again to experience, learn from life again. So which is it? What what if you do not want to be reborn again onto earth?
Karma (litterally) translates from ancient Sanskrit to english into "action." The Law of Cause and Effect... You can have Positive Karma (from providing positive action towards self and others), and then there is the Negative Karma which we all know about. I have died (clinically 3 times, flatlined) and so I know a little more about this than most... I hope this helps 🙏
Oh and to hopefully answer your question on choosing Reincarnation or not... From what I was shown, 'we' (as Soul's in the Spirit Realm pre-birth) agree to do a 'Reincarnation Cycle' (lasting 26,000 earth years) and 'many' lifetimes. Once the Reincarnation Cycle is over you can choose not to reincarnate in the physical again. 👍 BUT... Your individuated Soul -Self, being an infinite and eternal curious adventurous Soul gets bored and all though you might say:- "I will NEVER incarnate again in the physical," I can (almost) guarrantee you that at some point in a few trillion years you might well be choosing another physical lifetime incarnate? Good news is we are now at the end of the Cycles (all the Cycles are reaching completion). This lifetime (or at most 1 or 2 more to come) may be your final incarnations if that is what you choose. You might require just one or two more incarnations to balance 'most' of your negative Karma if you have any remaining before being able to remain in the Astral/Etheric Plains where there is still drama but nothing like here on earth 🌎 I understand a difficult lifetime because I have been fighting for my life for 17 years battling 24/7 with 2 x horriffic incurable and untreatable Autoimune Disseses leaving me bedbound for 3 1/2 years of my life screaming and crying, convulsing and spasming in human torture pain levels (highest pain score known to humankind) almost double that of child birth. The pain has not stopped for 17 years and I have attempted suicide twice already (took enough to kill 15 adults my size) and woke up 28 hours later in hospital still here. I tried once more a few weeks ago but it failed again so I realise now it's VERY DIFFICULT or maybe impossible to exit until it is your divine timing. I hope this helps.🙏
Some of the confusion you feel about karma and reincarnation has to do with your own self-definition. When you speak of not wanting to be reborn on earth again, what level of consciousness is expressing itself? The ego-self is identified with the limitations imposed on our awareness by living in a physical body. That level of awareness is defined by the body it is in, which gives it one biological family, one culture, one ethnicity - and all the other details that go along with it. But that limited, physical plane self, is just one dimension of our consciousness. We also exist simultaneously on what is called the superconscious level, which knows itself to be far more than just the one body it presently inhabits. It is the superconscious aspect that is actually guiding our destiny. And it is not compelled by the likes and dislikes of the ego-self. In fact, its job is to educate that limited self, to awaken the limited self to its own divine nature. It is that superconscious self that is the continuing individuality present in all our incarnations. It is on the superconscious level that the experiences of each incarnation accumulate, gradually awakening higher wisdom, taking us through increasing stages of enlightenment until we reach full Self-realization. That process takes more than one incarnation. Too many confusions to clarify, too many delusions to unravel for it all to happen in the relatively short span between one birth and one death. Your understanding of karma is too simplistic. Yes, it is cause and effect, but much more is involved than just paying for past actions. It is a process of ever deepening realization. We don’t actually acquire anything, we just expand our awareness of what has always been true. Your idea of reincarnation, also, is too limited. Each life is not a blank slate. We start the next incarnation at whatever state of realization we reached in the previous lifetime, and expand from there. Of course, you don’t have to take my word for it! This is an ancient teaching; I’m not making it up. Nor did I come to it without a great deal of consideration, observation, and study. I have come to appreciate - profoundly and deeply - that an understanding of karma and reincarnation, and also of the chakra system, which is fundamental to how karma is carried from life to life - changes everything about the way we relate to life. It gives purpose and meaning to what is otherwise just a more or less random series of events. I hope this was helpful.
When earth people do not yet have ability to travel beyond one light years away in the matter of 1 year, then we, the earth people, currently have less than 1% knowledge of the entire linear quantrum cosmic physics of the matters of vast universe.
This may be a really dumb question, but here goes... will my chakras and my ability to meditate be adversely affected by abnormalities in my spine? I have osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease which over several decades has caused my spine to be very much out of allignment. Neurosurgeons have told me there's too much damage and that I'm not a candidate for any type of corrective surgery. I can live with that, but it does make me wonder if my physical misallignment can hinder my "spiritual allignment" ?
This is not a dumb question, especially to you. I've been on this path for over 40 years. I videotaped Swami Kriyananda from 1997 until his passing. I am uploading his talks onto the web for years. He would never have said you are limited. You are a child of God.
It's my understanding that the chakras are not physical. Asha had a video where she spoke about a woman who had a mastectomy and she was concerned about her heart chakra being affected. Asha said the woman had nothing to worry about 😊
Unresolved emotions can stick to our physical bodies and it's parts. Our energetic frequency amplifies our ability to hold or release these heavier emotions. Denial is often a coping mechanism until you are ready to remember what caused you to repress it initially. Be kind to yourself as you process these memories & feelings. Keep your heart open for the healing. You can do this!! ♥

Such lucidity and wisdom with such humor is indeed rare! So enjoyed this discourse thank you !
Wonderful, inspiring, clarifying talk.
I enjoyed this so much…. I was taken on many journeys into my own state of being …. Thank you
Another wonderful video. Thanks!!!
Great explanation, love it.. Thank you. 🙏🙏

That’s psychology but the power that we need is in the Peace. Yes Peace of mind. You won’t find that in anyone but self.
Thank you so much❣️🙏
