i really like the bandori covers actually as someone who doesn't play it, but i have to agree that it drove me crazy to comment on prsk's arrangements sticking too close to the originals because they literally ARE the originals. that's their schtick since they're part of official vocaloid stuff. it's completely fair to say you like the remix stuff better but it's not like prsk is rerecording everything to make zero changes
Idk if it’s just my extreme bias for pjsk, but the bandori instrumentals all sound so messy and unorganized, even the vocals even when better still sound messy and I’m not sure why
im a pjsk player and have never played bandori before, but i still prefer the bandori covers most of the time the vocals are just so strong and good i love it 😭😭😭
Some of the instrumentals have been remastered but most are the same more or less A good example would be night sky patrol of tomorrow. It sounds significant different to the original (and possibly the remake orangestar posted as well)
Akito and Toya’s cover for Dramaturgy isn’t the cover you hear in game for project SEKAI. Ichika and Miku are the actual characters who sung it in the official cover in game. There’s this “archives” thing (I think it’s only for Vivid bad squad?) that has 5 in-game songs that aren’t originally covered by the members. You can find it in the official Japanese RUclips channel of project SEKAI.
I think that by the end it comes to your music taste. if you like more to stick to the original, you will probably prefer prjsk, and if not, then bandori. But you can also like both or neither! :)

But as for the main reason, people think that liking music is an objective standpoint instead of a subjective one and think that thier opinion is right. Some Bandori fans can't accept when another rythem game does a "better" version of the cover and the same can be said for some Project Sekai Fans. For example I was attacked by some Project Sekai fans in a comparison video just because I said that I prefer Bandori's Daybreak Frontline, Dramathurgy or Lost One's Weeping over Project Sekai's. In any case both fandoms have thier bad apples and I'm sorry you have to encounter Bandori's bad apples.

into the night is a heavy pjsekai sweep any day, not only is kanade and miku's version really well done, but so are the other 5 versions of the song that pjsekai put out.
Tbh project sekai cover doesn’t really change much beside the vocal mostly music is the literal same as the original (also it’s not nightcord 2500 it’s nightcord at 25:00 as a time)
I think i like King's original intrumental better ! I think i fits more with the image i have of this song ! I feel like Roselia's intrumental is just a little TOO MUCH for this one !

roselia's instrumental of charles is just so superior to any other redemption, even in comparison to the original. actually, i used to dislike this song until i heard roselia's cover of it bc it's just so incredibly done, the vocals are amazing as always, but really what sells their cover as the best of all versions of charles is indeed the instrumentals kjsdnkdg

I really like how bandori changes songs as if they are their covers. Proseka -most of the time- sounds like the music has nothing special. Yes I definitely love proseka vocals but they're just singing with the original song nothing special. Meanwhile, bandori really changes it and their version is always so exciting to listen. I overall definitely prefer bandori songs more. Because of yk strong vocals. (I play both of the games over 1.5+ year so I can finally write this)

Actually, Dramaturgy has two groups covering it. Vivid bad squad for JP and Leo/need for En so basically your opinion might change or not. Since some songs have different units covering them, I hope you try to listen to Dramaturgy covered by Leo/need since it's not really fair. Some En players get confused and want to see Leo/need's performance. I knew about this since I play on En and when I realized that Vivid bad squad was the one who covered it here. I wanted you to rate the Leo/need ver aswell

Imo Roselia's Six Trillion Years is too much. Its like a 14 yo pretending to be a rockstar in their room. I know the song is meant to be intense but Ichika and Miku have the og instrumental, which is much less cluttered and chaotic than Roselia's. The Roselia instrumental almost irritates me because it distracts from the vocals, which are amazing.

Just because pjsk has original instrumentals doesn’t mean you can’t critique it. Most of the criticism is that there isn’t much going on. And how bandori takes a much more punky rock approach that makes some of the instrumentals boast the song in so many ways.
So I’m a vocaloid fan aswell as a person who comes from a family of professional musicians, witch is why I don’t like bandori covers, they sound like they are constantly hurting themselves (the main reasons I also hate Leo/needs cover of lost one’s weeping as well as the vocals not even matching up) by stretching their vocals, and all the vocals also sound so similar that it’s hard to appreciate each individual voice. And the vocaloid fan in me has more irrational feelings because I massively prefer original instrumentals, and while it is perfectly reasonable to like the different instrumentals I just have wayyyyy to much nostalgia for the original songs, and that’s why I’m a stupid autistic person who hyper fixates on the tiniest details😂

dont really like miku's tuning in that cover, but i do prefer the alts and the pasupare cover
