John Lundvik will represent Sweden at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv with the song Too Late For Love. He won the 2019 edition of Melodifestivalen in Stockholm on Saturday the 9th of March.

The jury overrated the song of Sweden. Why is that? It has no depth and no soul. Its way too simple for Eurovision and the public voted it away not for nothing. It has no heart only rhythm. Maybe they like it in Africa but not over here. Actually when I hear London Beat with ''you bring on the sun'' its way better. I am sorry for the fans just accept.
The backing vocalists are representing Sweden in 2020.

I was there in person, you really don't hear how much people were cheering for him in the video. Some parts in the arena you almost heard the crowd cheering more than his singing. And as he was walking back to the greenroom during Wiktoria's performance people were cheering around him. It was so great.

@@klara7247 Nej det är inte standard då folk skriker mer för vissa än andra. Alla har ju sina favoriter. Inte så att till exempel Arvingarna får lika mycket kärlek av publiken som exempelvis John kanske. Givetvis är det ju främst de yngre som skriker och överröstar.

@@sup3rAVATARtlafAN I was also there, and the atmosphere was indeed extraordinary! Although you can never be 100% sure on anything, I'd say that there's a 99.999% chance that It'll be the same atmosphere or similar in Tel Aviv.
What we must admit on is that his live performance sounds unbelievably good, sounds like it was recorded in the studio.
His live vocals are godly no matter what. But sorry to break it to you, they use a backing track in melfest. So what you are hearing is 50% studio. Still amazing though

Althought the Netherlands are the bookies favourite, I don't think that this is a settled case. When I see the reactions on their performance, I think that we should not be to amazed when it's not the Netherlands that win but Sweden. And in that case, rightly so, it's a wonderful and powerful song. And I reward it to them as well, it's a nice country with a gentle population.
Honestly this song should have won the Eurovision, since it has that feel-good factor. It was terrible to see how he went from almost winning to 5th place in a second.
Wow...just listen how they build up to the chorus at 2:33...and when the chorus kicks in at 2:45... pure magic!

this year's Benjy was a pure KNOCKOUT. He is a whiter, more Swedish Michael Jackson..he's got the high tenor and def. has the moves. I began to feel a stirring in certain places when he started dancing! That duet with him and Felix was sheer brilliance... again with Christer BJorkman and SVT. I would not be surprised at all if Christer became the EBU/WSC SUpervisor .
