KDOT got the win. Drake didn't lose in the booth, he dropped the better songs. But he lost on the internet. Rap beef is more than music its also PR.
Very shocked to see this outcome if this is the “end” that the public agrees on, I necessarily don’t but the fact that drake spends as much time on the internet compared to Dot, it’s a bit surprising
@@CrackInthe80sPodcast I think to be objective we have to also acknowledge its not a lot of objective fans grading it. It's like Drake stans and Kendrick haters vs. Kendrick stans, Drake haters, Future, Ross, Weeknd, Ye etc etc stans. And a small number of fans in the middle trying to grade the music. KDOT was able to unite the fanbases, and they have been going crazy on the internet, lol. So, tbh I don't think no matter what they dropped, these applicable bases are already devoted to seeing their guy win. Mfs been wanting Drake outta here for a while and they all hopped on to try to accomplish it. Whether that's justified or not, I couldn't tell you.
Great point! The smallest percentage of people are actually acknowledging the music, I was shocked to see how many drake haters there was, But “family matters” may be one of the greatest diss records ever, and we love both artists here at the pod
