FedEx Feeder (Morningstar) Cessna 208B Grand Caravan Landing and Departing Calgary Airport

- A not-so-common sight here in Calgary! Morningstar Air Express operates 8 Cessna 208s for FedEx Canada, generally between smaller cities. They're not a frequent visitor to Calgary though, as we just get their 757s in FedEx colours as well as a FedEx-operated A300 to Memphis. This Cessna 208B flew in from Vancouver, making a brief stop for fuel in Calgary, before heading out to Winnipeg just a few minutes later. Hope you enjoy this small yet unique visitor in action, with ATC included!
Thanks for watching!

That pilot was so mindful and expedient. He took such care setting the plane down and yet brought the plane to unload as quickly as possible. Like melted budder.
3:35 good idea walking away from that Prop
Nice one mate. Built in 1996 this Caravan. I do like the look of Fedexs ones. Cannot wait till they start taking delivery of their Cessna 408 SkyCouriers. Well filmed. Liked :)
nice catch, cool to see such a small Fedex airplane ;)
Worked on Brooker Wheaton later Morningstar Caravans in Saskatoon in the early 90s. Got sent with them to Ottawa during the mail strike!! Good times 👍👍
And EXF is now back home in YVR after some maintenance work performed in YWG. It flies YVR to YYJ (Victoria) and YCD (Nanaimo). A great gig!
i love that cessna 208
In Newark, these planes fly around 4 in the morning!
this is common in San Luis Obispo County Regional airport
It's cute airplane. I want flying this Cessna.
I see on of these over my office everyday 730 7am , and it's gotta be nice to go up by yourself. Auto pilot it 3 hours, drop some box's and come home or overnight it a bit.

Yeah, budder. Great flying. Just like melted budder.
@@WolfandCatUnite agreed :)
Cool aircraft!
Fantastic catch!
2:07 - Wow, I didn't know they only had one pilot per little aircraft !
Carlo De Stefano yes, all are flown single pilot IFR. The only instrument remaining n front of anyone sitting right seat is a vacuum gauge!
@@vicoastdog FAA requires planes above a weight threshold to have two pilots in the cockpit. I'm guessing this falls below that threshold
@@PyroOfMalice this is in Canada, so the FAA regulations don't apply. However, the weight limit is typically 12,500 lbs, but application for single pilot certification or ops for higher weight have been approved for some aircraft (certain biz jets such as the Phenom 300 for example, and the Metroliner is flown single pilot by some cargo ops in the US)
Nice video man! Liked!
Nice video, Liked!
Are these bad boys still serving Toronto Pearson? Have these Cessna cargos been retired? Or not?
There are 9 of them in Canada, still flying out of Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver. Cheers.
Swoop in Calgary?
one pilot?
