I know this comment is a year old, but check out Rivers of Nihil's "The Silent Life" and "The Void from Which No Sounds Escapes". I've been playing sax since i was 11 and absolutely love that it can fit with metal perfectly
as a loud, often heavy guitar and jazz sax player, this was absolutely stunning to stumble upon. I am completely addicted and completely confused as to how this works so incredibly well.
The sax is a very emotionally expressive instrument, so when you combine it at its most profound and emotional with extremely heavy distortion which provides tenfold intensity to any song, what you have is something that your brain didn’t know it needed in music
Plini has been one of the guitarists that has taken the genre(and guitar in general) to new bounds and I’m honored to be around and witness such grace, technicality, and an overall refreshing sound. 🤘
The sax solo rips! When it kicks in over the low drop A guitar chord it climbs the A major scale but dwells and screams on a sharp 4th…..twice. So basically going Lydian mode at that point. Such an unexpected but great note. Could listen to that forever.
Cannot.......stop........ listening........tooo........good! For everyone that liked the Sax-Solo(one of the best i heard ....and i also listen to jazz....😳)here is a suggestion. Exivious - Deeply Woven ...it's also worth a try 😀👍🏻👋🏻
@Liam Quigley Plini's music is more orchestrally sophisticated, palatable and well crafted than Micic... it's not that David isn't brilliant, it's just that Plini is well.... a fucking genius.
This song tries too hard to establish itself as a unique entity, so much that it doesn't belong to any listenable group it just floats between what's manageable to listen to, rather than whats essential to listen to. Almost there, but not quite.
The album is great but this song is an absolute masterpiece with the sax solo. One of the sexiest things I’ve heard in a long time
I have to fully agree with you, sax solo moved whole song to another level.
I think you mean “sax”iest solo. 😎 Couldn’t agree more!
That sax solo is f.cking massive
Yes! I agree! It’s amazing. The guitar sound is so amazing too. Reminds me of Holdsworth.

the kinda song you sit back in your chair with some studio monitors and close your eyes and drift away.. pure beauty of a song
I wish I could hear this song for the first time again. I can't describe the feeling
3:54 chills every time

@@GrapeFlavoredAntifreeze well said!
Best song on the album.
By far. And every other song is great.
100% agree. When the tenor sax came in I was absolutely FLOORED
The sax solo just adds an amazing and emotional element to this song. The lead up to the solo to cap it off. Amazing musicianship.
The switch from sax solo to guitar solo is absolute brilliance!

Try listening to Allan Holdsworth 😎😎
I pretend I'm the conductor at a symphony when this song comes on. Absolutely masterful!

This is the finest piece of music I've heard in a long time.
Instant goosebump everytime I hear this song. Guy is a beast!
The rhythm of the drums and guitars is 🔥
This makes me cry :')
Reminds me of Christmas strangely. Absolute monster of a song. 😮

one of the best passages in world music sax and Plini hands
Plini slaps in every song!!
This one makes me chilllllll❣️
The "most played" area on the track proves, We all came for the SAX
I don’t usually say things like this (to each their own) but I feel like if this song doesn’t make you feel something, you’re just broken.
Actually more broken if it makes you feel something
@@Zuracooking nope
The saxo 4:55 sounds incredible amazing and brutal

I love "Living Room" by him!

'Instrumental rock' killed me.
Ok, what genre would you call it then so that people can find it?
@@Red88Rex instrumental prog metal
‘Instrumetal’ should be a genre name, been saying it for years
Ok sounds pretty cool but no lyrics? Wtf is not even a song just a soundtrack lol
never heard an instrumental before?
@@Red88Rex guess not! first time encountering something like this
