Very inciteful testimony. We all who are believers have personal aspects to our lives with sin that we had to get through after experiencing being born-again. Thank God for His mercy and grace to bring us through from glory to glory. How the church these days need to not reject or snub people who have been involved with same-sex attraction. The Lord is so wonderful and HE loves us and can bring us from His joy to joy and a life away from practicing sin.

I'm going to pray you run into my cousin on one of your outreaches! He has a lot of common history between abuse from his mother as a child, growing up with everyone telling him he was gay because of his mannerisms, eventually embracing that lifestyle, and now getting into smoking marijuana to numb all his anxieties. Your testimony is going to change many lives!
Oh my goodness! I truly understand how profound it is to realize that having a personal relationship with Jesus is possible. Growing up in South America, I wasn't taught that this kind of relationship could exist, and I recognize how pivotal that revelation can be. It’s amazing to see how God rescues us and transforms our lives.
I was introduced by an older sister to sex when I was 3 years old. It led to decades of pain. I have now overcome, thanks to accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Watch your kids, they can harm each other without even knowing it.

Yes. I'm sure I will still think women are occasionally attractive but I'm very much attracted to men again like I never thought would happen. I went to therapy for my SA. And no longer care for the "safe" option of women. Jesus and therapy opened my eyes. @@etcwhatever

One must never become relaxed about the devices that the enemy used in the past to trap one into a specific sin. Be very disciplined and resist even the slightest thought violently out loud. Eventually they will realize that they can't temp you consiously any longer, and will try in your dreams. Don't give up the fight. Declare and proclaim prayers before sleep. Deliverance can be a long process especially if one has lived in habitual sin. The Holy Spirit will faithfully help. God bless 🙌

Sometimes, God allows us to walk through devastation and a life of rejecting Him in order to bring Him more glory, honor, and praise from the deliverance! If he had, had a normal, comfy life, there's no way his message of deliverance, transformation, healing, and freedom would have reached those who suffer in bondage now!
Thats how it was when God dealt with me and my alcohol abuse. When i gave it up there were still times I would just say ill have some wine when out with my friends just because and would have only had 2 small sips. The next day i would be hung over like i partied and drank all night miserable everytime. Vs when i was drunk 24/7 and never had a hang over. Those of us that are called cannot go backwards not even for a every now and then type of thing not even for a half of dose sometimes 💯

How does someome turn homosexual in a healthy good home? My brother at a very young age was attracted to boys. He tried to fight it( until he was 35) He said he would never choose it if it was a choice. Just like I dont choose to be straight. Is it spiritual? Demonic? How does this happen? My parents were amazing. My Dad was the nicest person Ive ever met after Jesus. I was not brought up in church. I dont understand. Ive been saved 5 years. Not all homosexuals experienced sexual abuse. It has to be spiritual?
I dont want to silence any victims but it is unfortunate that everyone who tells these testimonies always experienced abuse. I would like to hear from people with normal experiences

I am happy for this young man healing from the childhood trauma. However, I feel that this interview should be done with someone who had a healthy home because people started to label gay people as coming from the same background, which is a false statement. LGBTQ+ are a wide spectrum.
I think as with most things of the mind, there's always a certain unexplainable percentage. There are a lot of factors which greatly increase the risk of developing SSA like abuse or a missing father figure, but sometimes it's difficult to detect obvious factors. Similar to how some people seem to have a very good childhood and then suddenly develop a mental illnes and their life becomes a mess. Of course, spiritual explainations are also a possible, this could be a case of demonic oppression.
In my years of study, 98% of homosexuals have been sexually abused in one way or another and it doesn’t have to be parents…it could have been a teacher, the father of a friend, other relatives etc. The other 2% either dont or can’t remember the abuse or they are afraid or embarrassed to admit it. He needs solid biblical counseling.
Unfortunately, I keep seeing people claiming that I should "repent" or allow the holy spirit to "do his work". The thing is, it's not as simple as that. I am currently struggling with my homosexuality and my Christian identity because I can NEVER see myself being in a successful relationship with a woman. Yet, I desire a romantic partner just like any good heterosexual Christian. This is a genuine question from someone who is struggling here. What should I do to live a fulfilling life while following Christ as well? Because I know that remaining single and only maintaining relationships with friends isn't something I can do forever. I keep trying to fight the battle, but being homosexual isn't the same as killing someone or stealing. These feelings come from a genuine and natural place that is scientifically proven and yet it goes against scripture. I don't want to go against Christ. But I don't want to lack that beautiful and romantic experience that I miss out on because I'm unable to make that connection with women. What do I do?
I would say that most importantly, pray to God and ask him for guidance. A good passage for this situation is Jesus' prayer in the garden of Gethsemane. God's will shall come true, however the outcome might look. Just place your trust in him. Nobody can give assurance on how God's plan looks. Probably he will bless you with a wife, probably he calls you to celibacy. Don't worry too much about that and just know that he'll do it right. It's important to know that repentance not always means being free from temptations. So if your same sex attraction doesn't go away, don't worry too much. That doesn't mean that you did something wrong. Probably God is using it for a greater good. As a more practical advice, psychological support is a good addition to the faith. If there's a Christian therapist who shares biblical sexual ethics, it can be very helpful to examine the origins of your SSA. The books of Dr. Joseph Nicolosi are a good starting point for that side, too. SSA is often rooted in mental conflict, alienation or trauma, resolving these issues can help to weaken the SSA.
First, it takes courage to be honest about your feelings and sharing them with strangers. I strongly suggest you find a Christian counselor who has an expertise in this area. I will pray that God changes your heart and desires. I can’t imagine these feelings but in Gods eyes, a sin is a sin so weather you are in a physical relationship with a man or woman outside of Gods law of marriage (a man and a woman) then you are sinning. Keep praying and asking God for answers, He will answer you.
@DawntianSakura Please don’t listen to no one. Many people think they know better whereas they never been in your shoes. Please just keep doing as you did and fallow Jesus. Don’t judge and condemn yourself or hate. If you find love just let it be. You need to see the reality. I have been in your shoes and not easy but it’s very personal. You must see yourself and you will be surprised how God will work for it for good just keep on praying and studying the scripture and allowing to become living words in your heart.
I think your prayer should be for holiness. Not being straight. I wouldn't listen to "science" there are generational dispositions and inclinations. Be very real and honest with the Lord. Tell him you want to serve and live for him yet this struggle is real. Cry, scream and let it all out. Take it a day at a time but seek him and his holiness. You need to be completely honest with yourself, do you know being a lesbian isn't God's will. If so act accordingly, this life is short. It is a choice, not easy but one can choose to act or not in any desire. I have this struggle, it can be inactive for years on end but every once in awhile I'll find myself struggling with the desire to be with a woman. I acknowledge it, don't allow myself to ponder it too much and replace it with another thought. Usually the Lord's prayer or a Psalm and other scripture. I don't fight the thought but strive to replace it. In time it gets easier. I'm married 24 years , I slipped once since being a Christian in 2005. I guard my mind and remember eternity. I'm praying for you. Be really honest with self and God. If you really think it's ok and God's wrong than ask him to make his thoughts your thoughts. This is not his will but is so easy in today's society. God bless you

Give yourself to God , he will take care of every other thing, there is nothing IMPOSSIBLE with God
I would say that most importantly, pray to God and ask him for guidance. A good passage for this situation is Jesus' prayer in the garden of Gethsemane. God's will shall come true, however the outcome might look. Just place your trust in him.
Nobody can give assurance on how God's plan looks. Probably he will bless you with a wife, probably he calls you to celibacy. Don't worry too much about that and just know that he'll do it right. It's important to know that repentance not always means being free from temptations. So if your same sex attraction doesn't go away, don't worry too much. That doesn't mean that you did something wrong. Probably God is using it for a greater good.
As a more practical advice, psychological support is a good addition to the faith. If there's a Christian therapist who shares biblical sexual ethics, it can be very helpful to examine the origins of your SSA. The books of Dr. Joseph Nicolosi are a good starting point for that side, too. SSA is often rooted in mental conflict, alienation or trauma, resolving these issues can help to weaken the SSA.
First, it takes courage to be honest about your feelings and sharing them with strangers. I strongly suggest you find a Christian counselor who has an expertise in this area. I will pray that God changes your heart and desires. I can’t imagine these feelings but in Gods eyes, a sin is a sin so weather you are in a physical relationship with a man or woman outside of Gods law of marriage (a man and a woman) then you are sinning. Keep praying and asking God for answers, He will answer you.
@DawntianSakura Please don’t listen to no one. Many people think they know better whereas they never been in your shoes. Please just keep doing as you did and fallow Jesus. Don’t judge and condemn yourself or hate. If you find love just let it be. You need to see the reality. I have been in your shoes and not easy but it’s very personal. You must see yourself and you will be surprised how God will work for it for good just keep on praying and studying the scripture and allowing to become living words in your heart.
I think your prayer should be for holiness. Not being straight. I wouldn't listen to "science" there are generational dispositions and inclinations. Be very real and honest with the Lord. Tell him you want to serve and live for him yet this struggle is real. Cry, scream and let it all out. Take it a day at a time but seek him and his holiness. You need to be completely honest with yourself, do you know being a lesbian isn't God's will. If so act accordingly, this life is short. It is a choice, not easy but one can choose to act or not in any desire. I have this struggle, it can be inactive for years on end but every once in awhile I'll find myself struggling with the desire to be with a woman. I acknowledge it, don't allow myself to ponder it too much and replace it with another thought. Usually the Lord's prayer or a Psalm and other scripture. I don't fight the thought but strive to replace it. In time it gets easier. I'm married 24 years , I slipped once since being a Christian in 2005. I guard my mind and remember eternity. I'm praying for you. Be really honest with self and God. If you really think it's ok and God's wrong than ask him to make his thoughts your thoughts. This is not his will but is so easy in today's society. God bless you
