It's so important to teach our children and grandchildren, because if they only get learning from public schools it's awful what they are teaching children these days. Morals have been thrown out the window.
I wish we were neighbors...I know all about some Y'all being from the south myself...lost my accent but makes an appearance from time to time where the hubs reminds me of my roots. Anywho...I was thinking about you the other day...got a new batch of hens and decided to get two roosters to balance the number of girls I have here and ended up with three roosters...and he's mean! I mean ... mean as the dickens and had to remove him even at 5 weeks old and hate that he's alone but he's rotten. A Cuckoo Maran and did I mention he's mean? :) Any experience with this breed? And lovely book...and granddaughter...I should play this next time my grands come to visit... Thanks for sharing!
I do too! You can never lose a southern accent. Mine must be thick, because my kids even make fun of me.🤣 I’ve had French Marans and mystic Marans, but never a cuckoo. I have had a mean rooster before though. The best way to break them is to forcibly hold them and carry them around the coop in humiliation. I had one that I tamed around me, but he still bullied my grandchildren and other people. I did try to re-home him, but no one would take him. He became chicken and dumplings.😩
