      You must take Shotokan Karate? If you look into martial arts forms more you’ll find that a lot of them look the same. They can be Japanese or Korean.

      @@academy_of_gung_fu_est.2023 Yes, I did TKD as a kid and shotokan now. I'm fascinated how similar the forms are. I'm in my mid forties and loving it.

      So Tang Soo Do is a mix of Chinese Kung Fu and Japanese Karate. It became its own system in 1945. That’s why the forms seem similar.

      @@academy_of_gung_fu_est.2023 Yes. My kata for black belt if Bassai Dai. I notice that TSD has the equivalent. So interesting. I'ts almost the same.
